And anyone else who wants to join in. The idea of this thread is a way to record weightloss, motivate each other, discuss which methods if any we are using to lose weight and give the occasional kick up the bum.

Right you lot. I was going to wait until new year to start this thread but I think that if I'm going to have my head in the right place to start, I need your help now. I haven't weighed yet I'll do that on the 1st but I think I probably have 2 1/2 stone to lose. Last time I had 3st to lose so I'm seeing that as a postitive.

So, are any of you still out there? Who'd like to join me? Xmas Grin

eighty I did a triple double take at wlfs Blush . Envy of the fancy watch. Which reminds me kato if the offer of the fitbit is still there would be great, just let me know how much postage would be/if you'd like any money for it.

if the whole point is you come on even if you're not doing well (well, in my head it is anyway) so we can all keep each other motivated when we need it most as well as when we are on track.

Reastie · 07/02/2014 17:39

Forgot to say hair your DD sounds very talented indeed.

TheOneWithTheHair · 07/02/2014 18:46

reastie is right if, this thread is not a fair weather one!

eighty it's a big one in Alderley Edge. For anyone in Manchester, Macclesfield, Cheshire and Stockport.

No idea now what she'll be doing. Head's wife, also a teacher at the school, grabbed me at pick up to ask if dd would do a duologue with her son in the same year.
Thing is she already said she'd do one with a boy from her drama school. Apparently head asked dd at lunch too. It's turning into a bloody nightmare. It's too complicated at the moment.

She usually does verse speaking, solo drama, prepared prose etc.

Thanks reastie, she is quite talented.

Swimming seems to burn loads of calories. How long was your swim eighty and how long did it take? I'm trying to gauge how much I could do. A lot less than you.

So do you do sprints and then rest or laps? I imagine it's very different to aqua aerobics? Is it at a gym or the local baths? Sorry for all the questions.

I do talk about biscuits a lot...
reastie I'm so sorry I totally forgot all about that!! I just need to find the charger base and it's yours!!!

TheOneWithTheHair · 08/02/2014 11:55

Morning everyone. I was out last night and feeling delicate today. I needed a drink to calm down from yesterday's shenanigans. Am I allowed to live on caffeine and sugar today?

Hair it's not Sunday night/Monday morning you're next on the radio is it? Was awake all night not being able to sleep Confused and remembered you were on soon. If it would have been last night I would have been awake for it! Hope you're feeling less precious now.

Thanks kato I'll look forward :)

Not so hot today. Was all changed for a workout after DH went out to collect a wardrobe for DD from freecycle. He came back with it and it was hugely heavy, lots of grunting and gurning involved from both of us to lift it up the stairs and into DDs bedroom and it hurt my back and didn't want to injure myself with doing a workout on top so bowed out Blush spent the day organising all of DDs bedroom and it actually looks nice and tidy now. Back on it tomorrow though assuming no huge ache ensues. Wardrobe is lovely though. A perfect condition mamas and papas wardrobe and matching bedside table. It's amazing what people don't want anymore! Anyway, sorry, I digress.....

eighty wow that's an amazing calorie burn, well done.

KatoPotato · 08/02/2014 18:40

Hi everyone!

Kettlercise today. New Instructor said I probably wouldn't be able to manage tricep kickbacks with an 8kg weight...

Nailed it :)

KatoPotato · 08/02/2014 18:48

We'll gloss over the fact I can't lift my arms without wincing this evening...

I can't track kettlercise because there's too much wrist banging and I'd break my watch! I estimate it as strength training with mfp. Even though there's cardio added.

A spin class is about 560 and a gym session about the same

Reastie · 08/02/2014 19:05

Thanks eighty I felt a bit like I was copping out not working out today but it'd be awful if I had a back injury (have a bad back history).

Wow, kato I'm imagining you as some kind of super woman!

KatoPotato · 08/02/2014 19:34

Super biscuit woman??

TheOneWithTheHair · 08/02/2014 19:49

I went for caffeine but not sugar. Then I ruined it all with a Chinese Takeaway for dinner. Blush

No radio atm as the producer is off sick. I will let you know when it's back on though.

Completely blew the diet at the last hurdle, went out to lunch and tried to guess the calories ... Was out by about 600! Today, however, I have woken up with DS's sicky bug so maybe it will all balanced out in the end.

Will have a w/i tomorrow morning and put that as my start weight on the spreadsheet.

TheOneWithTheHair · 09/02/2014 16:25

Don't worry. If you're going to record your start weight tomorrow it's a clean slate for you. You can begin properly then.

I, on the other hand, am dreading tomorrow's weigh in. I know it's been a bad week. I seem to be sabotaging myself at the moment. I have no idea why. I am psychologically hungry all the time.

OP posts:
Reastie · 09/02/2014 19:00

Hair yes I get the psychologically hungry thing alot, any hints or tips to deal with it gratefully received (other than keep busy!). Fingers crossed tomorrow won't be as bad as you think, and, if it is, then we'll just kick you back on it.

Hooble hope you're feeling OK? You have to just have what you like every now and again and having a lovely lunch out without worrying about the calories IMO is fine (so long as it's not too much of a regular thing!!)

Kato I have the funniest mental image of what super biscuit woman would look like Wink

I found one of my old fat dresses earlier today. I tried it on and took a picture of me inside it. Tried to load it on the ss but it said it was too large an image. If anyone knows how to make it so it can load on (if you want to see it of course!) let me know, I'm on a mac. I was actually Shock at how big I must've been.

Quite good today and did a cardio workout. Also in process of redecorating DDs bedroom so another busy day.

1lb down. Hurrah, was starting to feel a little fraudulent on here with my lack of recent loss!

ifandwhen · 10/02/2014 10:02

Well done eighty and Reastie. I'm not sure that it counts as maintaining for me, since I sulked and refused to weigh myself last week, but at least now back on track - and on the spreadsheet Smile

TheOneWithTheHair · 10/02/2014 17:17

Hi everyone.

Well done eighty and reastie, you've done well.

Glad to hear determination again.

Due to school meetings as a result of last week's shenanigans I'm not going to be able to weigh in until Wednesday.

Right, I think I have a real chocolate addiction that is becoming worse Blush and it's really getting in the way of my WL. Today I had some chocolate buttons after breakfast, some more late morning (at 2 seperate times) with some nuts and raisins, a low cal hot choc after lunch, some dark choc mid afternoon and again after dinner. I just crave chocolate desperately! Not huge amounts each time but I know it adds up. Any tips on how to beat the chocolate urge? Maybe it's just hormones making it worse and I'll be back on track with me usual chocolate fix (a couple of big cubes of dark choc and a hot choc a day).

if glad you're back on track

Hair are you feeling less precious today?
