And anyone else who wants to join in. The idea of this thread is a way to record weightloss, motivate each other, discuss which methods if any we are using to lose weight and give the occasional kick up the bum.

Right you lot. I was going to wait until new year to start this thread but I think that if I'm going to have my head in the right place to start, I need your help now. I haven't weighed yet I'll do that on the 1st but I think I probably have 2 1/2 stone to lose. Last time I had 3st to lose so I'm seeing that as a postitive.

So, are any of you still out there? Who'd like to join me? Xmas Grin

Still here, sorry for being crap everyone. Not managing well at the moment, incredibly busy at work, worked Saturday all day and Sunday morning, long days this week and have just finished now and am heading to bed. This and a viral thing that just seems to affect my sinuses means that I don't want to eat but when I do it's haribo and chocolate. I need to sort it. I am actually more ashamed of my diet now than Ive ever been. Not sure I have eaten a single vitamin today :o I'll probably find my toenails drop out in the night. Immediate milestone is next Friday and deadline is mid March, at some point in the next few weeks I need to get myself together. Not even diet, just stop eating crap and start eating food again!

StealthPolarBear · 06/02/2014 22:51

Apologies for self-pitying ppost. Hope you're all OK and I will be back soon tocatch up x

eighty I have replied on your thread.

Stealth that sounds like a nightmare. No wonder you're reaching for the sugar boost.

I agree with a Graze type box and buy some bananas.

Aww haha! It happens eighty

Imagine I had a daily munchy box delivered to my desk at work!?

KatoPotato · 07/02/2014 11:12

In other news, I stopped being scared of the scales and am back to 142 again...

I do blame the discovery of a biscuit union made in Kato heaven/hell a digestive custard cream!

TheOneWithTheHair · 07/02/2014 11:34

Kato you have got to stop talking about biscuits. I am a biscuit fiend. I have Belvita for breakfast and oat cakes for lunch EVERY DAY!!

You are not helping with digestive custard creams or Lotus paste! Grin

Oh I am a certified biscuit fiend! There's a wee hospitality trolley that goes round at work and I have to hide from it! It is rammed with all the classics!

I never used to eat biscuits at all, because I never drank tea. When I was in hospital having DS I was given a cup of milky tea every night at half nine. Ever since then I love tea and biscuits!

Home Bargains is my downfall, they have a wall of biscuit temptation!

HoobleDooble · 07/02/2014 12:02

Sorry am arriving at this thread very late, can I still come in please?

After a very long Xmas earing period, which took in the whole of January, I braved the scales on Sunday and REALLY scared myself. I've never been this heavy and self-loathing before.

Am now calorie counting using the MyFitnessPal app on my iPad, have had 5 'on track' days and one morning so far, but it's early days. Am expecting the cravings for pizza, doner kebabs and lovely salty chips from my local Chinese to arrive any day now.

Hi, can I jump on board, need to lose weight (not too sure of current weight but will weigh in over the next couple of days and post it). I am so tired of being fat and unfit and I am ready to change.

TheOneWithTheHair · 07/02/2014 12:30

Hi Hooble, you sound quite determined. Some of us find it useful to track our loss on a spreadsheet. You can add yourself here if you want to.

OP posts:
TheOneWithTheHair · 07/02/2014 12:32

x-post. Welcome to you too obrigada. You can add yourself too if you want. There's no obligation to either of you though.

Official weigh in day is Monday but loads have sneaky weigh-ins during the week.

KatoPotato · 07/02/2014 12:36

Hooble... warm welcomes! - But did you have to mention salty chips from the Chinese?!?

And to you Obrigada. I don't mind adding you both if you'd rather. Some posters here are on the naughty step for fiddling with my spreadsheet cells

obrigada · 07/02/2014 12:39

Hi TheOne and Kato, thanks for the welcome. Kato if you can add me to the spreadsheet that would be great, will let you know my weight as soon as I have weighed in.

TheOneWithTheHair · 07/02/2014 13:11

Sorry Kato, I should have said you would do it. This isn't even your pfb spreadsheet! Grin

Hello hooble and obrigada

Busy busy day at work, I'm now snacking, please stop me eating too much! DD having a friend over to play soon and I'm exhausted - last minute school trip I'm organising for next week meaning in super early this morning for paperwork then working through my break with a big bake off competition....barely sat down all morning. At least I was burning calories dashing around I suppose.

Any nice plans for the week end anyone?

TheOneWithTheHair · 07/02/2014 14:59

reastie stop eating too much!

Weekend plans involve running around after dd as always! It's kicked off at her school due to a drama thing and I am awaiting a phone call from the head. It means we're a bit in limbo at the moment.

Thanks, no huge snackage but snacks in the plural may have been consumed. I needed the kick!

TheOneWithTheHair · 07/02/2014 15:56

eighty I think you hate me! First you miss me off your list, then you mistake me for IMST! It's my dd who's the diva!

She got spotted by a private school that gave her a scholarship on the spot, then a bigger one for academics. We took up their offer. Every year there is a huge arts festival where she was spotted and dd was entering independently as she doesn't have private lessons with school's teacher.

She was entering through her drama school. I did think it was odd that school drama teacher wasn't bothered. Anyway the head found out this morning and isn't happy. I think the drama teacher is about to get a rocket up her arse.

So now I don't know who dd will be representing. I'm imagining it will be school.

Sorry for the non wl essay.

Sorry for absence this week - been crazily busy with work and family... although if I had lost a bunch of weight no doubt I would have found time to post it (very carefully!) on the hallowed spreadsheet, so probably more to do with feeling a bit frustrated on weight loss front.

Anyway, just came online to catch up and saw eighty's plea not to let this thread die out. Agreed its such a useful motivation, glad you all have been keeping it going, and that new people are joining in. Must try harder ;)

I especially like that this thread is not about one fixed approach to weight loss even though sometimes it may appear to be mainly about biscuits as I like the discussions about different research and approaches. Thanks all. Here's to Monday Smile
