Here we go - nice, shiny new thread for a new week

OP posts:
schneebly · 13/07/2006 13:55

I would love a meetup but am in Scotland so might not be easy!

suejonez · 13/07/2006 14:22

ooh MrsJC you swore on anyohter thread

She did Miss, I saw her

JackieNo · 13/07/2006 14:26

No. She didn't, did she. I think suejonez, in the light of all the bad feeling that's happening in active convo's at the moment, you and I should make up - I extend to you the hand of friendship, with its badly bitten nails. You can have the crown. But only if you promise to wear it to the meet-up, if it happens.

suejonez · 13/07/2006 14:32

Nah s'OK Jackie, you can borrow the crown I guess, s'long as I can wear it to acqua on Monday. Group hug? [hopeful emoticon]

JackieNo · 13/07/2006 15:20

Sorry to keep you dangling, so to speak, suddently realised I had to leave work to go and pick up DD from school. Home now. I'll join in the group hug, and yes, you can have the crown for aqua - the fact that you're managing to do any exercise definitely gives you precedence, I think.

coppertop · 13/07/2006 15:35

Swearing? Absolutely disgraceful!

It's getting harder to find threads that haven't kicked off. Have we had any punch-ups in the weight-loss topic yet? (Apart from crown-wrestling of course. )

JackieNo · 13/07/2006 15:36

Not as far as I know. And suejonez and I have made up now.

coppertop · 13/07/2006 15:39

Spoilsports!

JackieNo · 13/07/2006 15:54

Are you trying to get this thread to kick off, Coppertop? I'm afraid I'm all tussled out for today, and there's enough bad feeling going on elsewhere, so I'm going to have to disappoint you. Maybe someone else will oblige?

Littlefish · 13/07/2006 16:18

WWB - I live quite near you (about 25 mins away I think) - so I certainly wouldn't laugh at your funny voice!!! Actually, I'm not a local, so I don't have one of those voices, so I might have to hold back a snigger .

Well done everyone on their weightlosses this week - it's really starting to look impressive on the stats now.

Sorry - couldn't face posting this week - the same 2lbs is going on and off again at the moment.

I'm off on holiday tomorrow for 10 days, so I will start again on my return (if I dare get on the scales after all the cream teas, sticks of rock, chips on the beach etc. yummy

JackieNo · 13/07/2006 16:20

Hope you have a fab holiday, Littlefish. I'm off to the seaside too, just for the weekend, so may have the odd ice cream (well, you've got to, haven't you?).

Have a lovely weekend JackieNo.

MrsJohnCusack · 13/07/2006 18:19

I did swear

most unlike me

suejonez · 13/07/2006 18:34

d'you think we could get crown-wrestling made an Olympic sport? I have set myself the challenge of finding a sport that I can represent the UK at in 2012. Have only managed to come up with synchronised simming so far and have convinced my aqua class to do it with me.

I heard that the host nation traditionally fields a competitor for every event, so there must be some obscure sport that I could perfect in 6 years...surely?

MrsJohnCusack · 13/07/2006 19:06

tiddlywinks?

my old Latin teacher appeared on Record Breakers once doing some tiddlywinks world something or other - v.embarassing

good potential as our Olympic addition though.

hub2dee · 13/07/2006 21:16

Did someone mention profiteroles ?

  • 1 1/2 lbs at my weigh in this AM. Can't remember what my total is... 15 or 16 lbs I think ?
JackieNo · 14/07/2006 07:14

Well done Hub. (Mmm...profiteroles.)

schneebly · 14/07/2006 08:55

Hob - you are doing really well!

I have good news! Remeber some of you helped me write a personal statement for my Uni application? Well I got in! Feeling really happy and I am going out tonight with a friend so I can celebrate with some wine! I am trying to extra good today in lieu of tonight! I had a fresh fruit salad for breakfast and a yoghurt! Think I will have some soup for lunch - pretty virtuous but tonight will probably be laden with wine and pringles!

schneebly · 14/07/2006 08:56

Hob = Hub

JackieNo · 14/07/2006 09:20

Oh well done Schneebly - that's fantastic news. Congratulations. When will you start? Hope you have a great meal.

hub2dee · 14/07/2006 09:27

That's really good news, S. Your statement was a knock out and I'm sure you'll excel on your course !

Hob.

schneebly · 14/07/2006 09:39

Thanks guys - I start in September Am really excited!

Fauve · 14/07/2006 09:39

Synchronised sinning sounds good, suejonez.

JackieNo · 14/07/2006 09:45
