Oh Hazel.

I assume you are seeing a solicitor? A union rep (If you have a union). Someone who can help? You have documented everything also?

Who is there to support you and take some of the load? I remember last year when you were having problems with this person, I hope it ends well soon.

You were seeing a life coach, yes? Are you still? Are there any tips they can give about not looking at worst case scenarios in the future which may not happen? Oddly enough, I am discussing this self same issue with my counsellor right now as it happens, as I catastrophise and my fears and worries about what might happen cripple me. She said the future is not reality, now is reality. So just plod along, do what you can at each moment and try not to fear the future. Easier said than done I know.

Key things though- get the right support in place, and let them support you.

Thanks
Hazelbrowneyes · 11/02/2014 15:21

I've had a solicitor draw up the initial defence (at a ridiculous expense) but they won't represent me in court. I can't afford that to be honest. I've previously prepared files for court for the police (albeit a very long time ago!) and for a friend so I have reasonable knowledge of what I need to do. I have as much evidence as I could hope. DH will be with me, we're both down as witnesses and he can speak on my behalf as well.

No union, small business and I'm the owner so it's a bit tricky but our trade association are very good and have been helpful. They will also allow me to use their legal department for help and for free if I need to. The association will always help their members but do take complaints seriously. I've sent back my side of the story today and I get the impression that they do not expect to take the complaint any further.

Yes still seeing the life coach. Next session is next month but I can book another one if this goes to court earlier. We've already done some therapy over this but we will go further as I am also seeing the worst case about this. I have read what happens in a civil case and I feel better over that, it's just the fact I have to face him and he scares me.

Thank you - obviously I can't say too much on here as I don't want google to pick up on any of it but the support is very much appreciated x

TheRealAmandaClarke · 11/02/2014 18:54

Poor Hazel. This man is a bully isn't he?
What an arse. I'm so sorry.
This is all about him throwing his weight around. It is stressful but try to take the personal stuff out of it. As though the complaint isn't about you but a colleague or employee IYSWIM.

As an aside. My food today was utter crap. I have fallen foul of the office biscuit tin Blush
Why are ppl allowed to bring Jaffa cakes and chocolate digestives? Angry

SlightlyDampWellies · 12/02/2014 14:22

I hope today is better Hazel. At least you have done the right things and got the right processes in place. But yes, as Amanda says, what an arse.

Nothing to report here. Just had a bacon buttie, but it was for a charity fundraiser so that's okay. Calories don't count. ;)

TheRealAmandaClarke · 12/02/2014 17:49

hazel I'd be tempted to view this man in the same way as those abusive men who use court cases over contact as a way of continuing their controlling behaviour over their ex IYSWIM.
Have a look online at the power control wheel and the strength wheel.
It might help you see ways of using empowering techniques to Duce some of his emotional power over you.

TheRealAmandaClarke · 13/02/2014 17:44

Oh bum.
I need to go back to fasting. I liked it.
Today I had toast for breakfast, vegetable crisps, mini quiche and crusty bread (carb fest anyone??) for lunch
And cheese and ham omlette with peas and actifry chips for dinner. I also ate some homemade rice pudding Blush it was lovely.
A bit of walking, to pick ds up from nursery.
But I am keen to stop the comfort eating.
So, on Monday, it's back to fasting.
There, I said it!

SlightlyDampWellies · 17/02/2014 13:02

Hi everyone, hope you all had good weekends, and a good V Day?

I made a very nice Beef Wellington for V Day.

Sigh..... Dcs are in childcare. DH is away. I have lots to do. Would it be truly dreadful if I took the day off? I am fed up with everything. I could lose a day without too many problems..... am tempted.

TheRealAmandaClarke · 17/02/2014 19:17

Hi Wellies did you take the day off?

V day food was fillet steak au poivre. V v nice.
Oh, and chocolates.but they were those proxy lily o brien ones so I let DS have most of them.
I fasted today. Just had a small roast beef sandwich and an apple at tea time.
Hungry now. But it needed doing.
Might do the same on Wednesday. Maybe a mini fast.
O&D revolutionaries.

SlightlyDampWellies · 18/02/2014 06:49

Hi Amanda yes I did take the day off. Blush. i even lied to DH about what i was doing when he called at one point. (I was watching Countdown with youngest DS and i said i was paying invoices. In my defence, I had actually paid them. ) I feel bad today, but I have had it up to here for the moment.

I have a new laptop and am thinking of working in bed today. One problem about being freelance and working from home is that you never seem to get any time off, so this will seem like a mini holiday!

Me yesterday

B- granola with almonds and milk
L- pot noodles with egg (I wanted to buy a mugshot but there were none in our Co-Op!)
D- 2 glasses wine. The DCs had pasta bolognese. I did not feel hungry.

TheRealAmandaClarke · 18/02/2014 07:10

Don't feel bad wellies. Sounds like you needed it.

Love yesterday's dinner btw.

Today
B: toast and jam. Coffee
L: fruit
D: Chicken cacciatore (already in slow cooker)
I'm shattered already. Dd was up a couple of times. It's killing me!

Hazelbrowneyes · 18/02/2014 16:34

Hi all,

Sorry for absence. Been a baaaaad week for food Blush

Friday:
B – pain au chocolat
L – ½ can chicken and veg soup
D – chicken and basil terrine, fillet of scotch beef, sharing platter of “a tasting of strawberries and chocolate” (amaze!)
S – crisps, bottle of cava

Saturday:
B – rice krispies
L – cheese and biscuits
D – fishfingers, chips and beans
S – packet of crisps, Smirnoff ice, wine

Don’t even talk to me about Saturday – went out with friends and it was so bad. DH is still cross about it now. Just a really boring night and a waste of money. Grr.

Sunday:
B – rice krispies
L – err. A ferrero rocher ice cream sundae Blush
D – roast chicken
S – 1 glass white wine, 2 glasses of red

Monday:
B – pain au chocolat
L – pea and ham soup with bread
D – this was a disaster. Freezer surprise. Turned out to be leftover roast chicken and chorizo stew which I’d already told DH didn’t freeze well and had gristle in it. He served it with rice. It was a slop of unidentifiable meat with some sloppy rice floating in orange liquid. I took 4 teeny mouthfuls and DH spent 5 minutes wrestling gristle out of his mouth before we binned it. So then we moved on to something bought in error – thai green curry. We thought it was just the sauce but actually turned out to have chicken in it. That was served with more rice. Ok, but wouldn’t buy it again. Least it was edible
S – packet of crisps, AN ENTIRE BAG OF MINI EGGS.

What is wrong with me?! GAH.

Well done on the fasting amanda

Wellies sometimes you just need to take the day off Smile

SlightlyDampWellies · 19/02/2014 15:11

Hazel I laughed at Freezer surprise!

I am procrastinating so have eaten a pack of wotsits, a pack of pombears and a pack of monster munch.

TheRealAmandaClarke · 19/02/2014 21:21

Yum.

I have eaten everything else.
Blush

Hazelbrowneyes · 20/02/2014 09:29

Ooh monster munch! YUM!

Yesterday was a baaaaad day.

B - pain au chocolat
L - beef and veg soup with 2 slices bread
D - veg samosas and goan chicken curry with naan bread and pilau rice
S - an entire punnet of grapes Blush and yes, I had horrendous stomach pains yesterday evening. Aero and low fat crisps. Oh and 3 small glasses of white wine

Furious with myself to be honest. Measured myself this morning - 3 inches on my waist, 2 on my hips and 1 on my thighs. Sad So the new plan starts today.

B - coco pops (I know but I've got a sore throat so needed cheering up Grin)
L - mugshot
D - probably fajitas or cottage pie. Oh or spag bol. Whatever chef feels like cooking I guess Grin
S - low fat crisps only

No alcohol tonight. DH will be pickling eggs tonight so I'm going to do a bit of exercise, read a book and watch some TV. Basically, just a chill out night Smile

SlightlyDampWellies · 21/02/2014 12:07

Hello!

Your dinner Wednesday sounds blissful.... mmmm......

My day off on Monday has meant that I sort of lost the plot this week and have found ti really hard to get abck into the swing of things. So head down today.

Me today:

B - granola with natural yoghurt and 2 coffees
S - 2 gluten free oatcakes with hummus and sun dired tomatoes
L- big spinach salad with cucumber, radishes, marinated articholes sun dried toms
D- a sweet potato and lentil stew with brown rice.

can you tell i am on another health kick??!!

I am trying gluten free, sugar free and alcohol free for a month to see if it gets rid of the awful bloated stomach i have. Today is day 1.

Stats- 10 stone 10. Stomach is very bloated. Hair is dull and dry. Skin is pasty.

I took a photo of me today and was shocked. Every Friday i will weigh in and take another photo.

SlightlyDampWellies · 22/02/2014 07:52

Good morning!

Hope everyone is well.

Saturdays are pancake day in our house so I am making pancakes. Then lunch will be salad again and dinner leftover sweet potato and lentil stew which was gorgeous.

I think pancakes have to be the gluten-free exception, because the DCs love eating together.

O&D FRs!

TheRealAmandaClarke · 22/02/2014 08:13

Hi FRs.
Saturday is supposed t be pancake day here too wellies but I cba due to chronic sleep deprivation.
So it's alpen and a raisin and carrot muffin. Healthy but still too much really.
Tonight is ham night. Cooked ham with a homemade tomato sauce and jacket potatoes.
I would like to avoid lunch because I usually feel better when I do. But we'll see. Grin
I have been comfort eating. If I have a glass of wine I start bingeing. Blush
So.
No bingeing!!!!!
That's it really. I don't mind eating on the run, or eating "naughty" foods but I absolutely must stop eating for comfort/ tiredness.
So it stops. Here and now!!

I LOVE pickled eggs. Yum!

SlightlyDampWellies · 22/02/2014 09:48

I have never had a pickled egg! Hmmmm....... maybe I need to try.

I find wine triggers bingeing for me too.

Hope you get some sleep Amanda. Thanks

SlightlyDampWellies · 23/02/2014 18:38

Hi everyone, hope you are all okay and fine.

I am okay here. Tired of parenting today though- we have had epic tantrums all day. The role of calm, quiet, patient, loving, mummy is wearing a bit bloody thin. Dh has had tantrums. All the Dcs have had tantrums. I am the only one still on a fairly even keel! (unusual).

and now DC3 has just come in and is asking to type on 'mummy's computer'.

Grr. No peace!

Night night FRs.

twinklestar2 · 23/02/2014 21:18

Hello all, remember me?

How are you all?

Wanted to drop in and tell you all that I'm 16 weeks pregnant :)

Hope you're all ok.

TheRealAmandaClarke · 23/02/2014 21:24

Twinkle
I am ALWAYS thinking of you and hoping to hear that you are pregnant.
Fantastic news. I am so, so happy for you.
Really made my day!
Thanks

Hazelbrowneyes · 23/02/2014 21:27

Twinkle, that's AMAZING news!!

Congratulations! So, so happy for you!! Grin

SlightlyDampWellies · 24/02/2014 08:33

that is FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

Congratulations!

Hazelbrowneyes · 24/02/2014 14:53

Hi all,

Not the best of weekends….

Friday:
B - coco pops with skimmed milk
L – chicken and cheese salad
D – spag bol
S - low fat crisps, no alcohol

Saturday:
B – streaky bacon and scrambled egg
L – 1 slice cheese on toast
D – chicken breast in a paprika crumb and chips (in the pub)
S – 5 (weep) small glasses of white wine, a few crisps (pub)

Sunday:
B – pain au chocolat followed by streaky bacon and scrambled egg Blush
L/D – Roast beef – cooked by my mother. She’d boiled all the nutrients out of the veg so we had soggy sprouts, sloppy cauliflower, soft carrots and borderline mushy peas, with overcooked beef, potatoes (pretty good) and Yorkshire puds which she rescued just before they burnt. Bless her, she did try. Chocolate fondant for pudding (vile) with homemade malteser icecream (amazing! She should have just served that)
S – 3 crackers with margarine, 1 glass of fizz, 1 glass of red wine

Today:
B – coco pops
L – pasta with cheese and mustard
D – chicken stir fry
S – low fat crisps

Not planning on drinking tonight so will treat myself to a hot chocolate.

I weighed myself this morning and took measurements – I’ve put on 1 inch on thighs, 2 inches on hips, 2 inches on waist (which was already 2 inches bigger than normal).

I like the idea of taking a photo wellies I might do that tonight.

Amanda no bingeing – yes. I need to do this too. I’ve removed all mini eggs from the house so I no longer have the opportunity to eat an entire bag in one go Grin

TheRealAmandaClarke · 24/02/2014 19:33

I am ginormous and unable to stop eating crap at work.

Today: black coffee, black coffee, large handful of chilli coated peanuts that I had left on my desk from last week. 1 hot cross bun, 2 cups tea, 3 chocolate digestives, 3 jaffacakes, slice of marble cake, decaff coffee.
chicken and veg curries, bit of rice and triangle things....... Samosas! Small square of choc covered flapjack, half a fucking hot cross bun. Decaff coffee.

Well done for your no drinking days hazel

I need a fast. I am sooooooo tired.
Will post when more coherent.

Still super- chuffed by twinkle's news.
