corrections....know not no. sorry !!

Therealamandaclarke · 19/09/2013 02:15

DD still awake.
Tomorrow is going to be tough!

Therealamandaclarke · 19/09/2013 02:16

I love the idea of your "no diet" pact twinkle it seems so healthy and liberating.

Rules · 19/09/2013 02:59

I find it liberating Thereal but its taken me many years and much self loathing to finally get here. Would still like to be a stone lighter but im using the gym and doing my woe to get there rather than dieting. I actually cry if I even attempt a diet now as it feels so horrible to do that to myself. Don't always like what I see in the mirror but im trying to be kinder.

Therealamandaclarke · 19/09/2013 08:10

I have to confess I don't think I'll ever give up the odd diet Blush
This thread has been so valuable to me because I know it's so important to address the comfort eating and to eat well.
But I can't resist the occasional diet. Been doing so for over almost thirty years Shock Blush
OMG. When you say it out loud!....

Therealamandaclarke · 19/09/2013 08:13

Anyway. dS is having some if the brownie for his breakfast.
I am having a mochaccino.
Will probably eat some porridge as i'vemade a big pot for DD.
Plan to have soup for lunch.
Dinner will be keralan fish curry with rice.
No snacking Wink
I had virtually no sleep last night so I'm not sure whether I'll make a 9pm yoga class. Also, it's easier for me to settle DD than for DH to. Hmm

Therealamandaclarke · 19/09/2013 08:16

Oh. I did manage (a quite pathetic, I know) 20 squats, 20 push ups and 20 abs before bed yesterday.
My DF does a few of these every day (plus he's very active) and he's in excellent shape. I will try to follow suit.

Hazelbrowneyes · 19/09/2013 08:49

twinkle I will give up alcohol during the week, I have to really. It has such an effect on my work the next day. I’m not the biggest fan of fruit or yoghurt to be honest Blush but I will pop to Aldi at the weekend and get some melon, pineapple, apples and grapes to make a bowl of fruit salad up. They have some greek yoghurt in small pots so I’ll try that too. I love the idea of not dieting. The problem for me is my mindset – unless I’m low-carbing, etc then I tend to just throw food down my throat.

Amanda Well done on not snacking and doing some abs, squats and push ups! I love the fact your DS is having brownie for breakfast Grin That’s possibly my ideal breakfast!

Rules I’m going to look into Paul McKenna as it sounds good.

I failed again yesterday to the point I’m totally writing this week off. I have somehow lost 2lbs but no idea where that’s gone.

Yesterday
B – none
L – I missed the bloody van so I went to the shop and bought a tin of Heinz Ravioli Grin
D – Chicken in a mushroom sauce with carrots, peas and garlic potatoes
S – S&V crisps, terrys chocolate orange bar, handful(s) of thai sweet chilli crisps when I got home
E – No
A – I did really well at this – only had ¾ of an effing bottle.

Today is boatshow day. In work until 12 and then off to Southampton. Lunch will most likely be pasta as the restaurant we’re going to does the most amazing pasta dishes. I’d imagine I’ll have a few glasses of wine. Dinner tonight is most likely to be cheese, biscuits, crisps and dip which suits me fine as it’s then out the bloody house. Oh, unless we go to the cinema after the show. I really want to see Rush and one of the cinemas in town has sofas and serves wine and lovely snacks.

I’m wearing: Black jumper, grey jeans and currently brown boots because it’s forecast to rain. I’ve got my black poncho with me & a big brown bag. Hair down as I will need my glasses and they don’t look great with hair up. I should have washed my hair really but I doubt it’ll matter all that much once I’ve been rained on!

Car in for MOT today so if you could all keep your fingers crossed for a pass that would be great. I can’t really do without the car for another day.

Hazelbrowneyes · 19/09/2013 08:51

Oh and because I'm hungover I've purchased coke, smoky bacon crisps and a tunnocks caramel.

twinklestar2 · 19/09/2013 12:34

Well done on the exercise Amanda!

I had to be up at half 5 for a breakfast meeting! Hence food today has been about keeping me awake rather than diet! Will post menu later when I've worked out how many cals I have for dinner.

Ran for 40 mins last night.

Therealamandaclarke · 19/09/2013 17:25

Poor twinkle that's early to get up.
Bloody good run. Good for you.

Me today
B: porridge with drizzle of maple syrup Grin. Mochaccino.
L: homemade tomato and roasted pepper soup with toast. NO PUDDING!
D: about to have homemade fish curry with rice. Maybe canned fruit or ice cream for pudding
S: apple.

So I know the day is not over but I have already resisted the remainder of the chocolate brownie. I would love to go to yoga but I don't hold out much hope. V unsettled DD means I am unbelievably tired and it's hard to leave her with DH.

twinklestar2 · 19/09/2013 22:23

D.......one coriander wrap with sweet chilli chicken, homemade salsa, sweetcorn, kidney beans, vintage cheddar, sour cream and salad.
half a mince pie, couple of cadburys buttons

Therealamandaclarke · 20/09/2013 09:03

Well done Twinkle that looks restrained for a tired person.Sausage rolls are used to be a guilty pleasure of mine. I hardly ever have them now but, along with Cornish pasties.....

Rules great menu. That wrap sounds v nutritious. I love the way you describe the nationality of your food too. "Welsh salty butter" and "English plums" it sounds so poetic.

Yesterday I avoided snacking and I made it to the gym. Not yoga but 35 mins on the X trainer and some stretches, 30 push ups, 40 abs.
Even a tiny bit of "princessing" on my poor neglected feet. Grin

Today
B: mochaccino, toast with black currant jam. Done.
L: might make some soup if I can get out to buy garlic.
D: omlette and chips made in the Actifry.

Yesterday DH went grocery shopping and undid all my hard budgeting work bought some goodies. Now we have crumpets, luxury ice cream and honey in the house. He also bought me a large box of chocolates Angry

Hazelbrowneyes · 20/09/2013 10:02

Think I'm still drunk. Will properly report when I sober up a bit. Blush

Rules · 20/09/2013 10:38

he he!! TherealAmanda I am a real foodie and am always describing my food in detail....M&S should employ me lol!

Hazelbrowneyes · 20/09/2013 13:32

Right, I’ve sobered up enough to type properly.

OMG. Why did I drink so much?!

Yesterday:
B – bloody smoky bacon crisps and a tunnocks caramel
L – goats cheese and apple followed by steak and chips
D – none
S – none
Alcohol – 3 x 175ml glasses of wine, 2 x 187ml bottles of wine, 2 x 200ml bottles of prosecco, 2 extremely large gins.

Ended up at a friends having a heart to heart until midnight. I’ve done nothing at work so far. No idea why I bothered coming in if I’m honest.

Today:
B – a pepperami Blush
L – beans and sausages
D – freezer surprise
S – massive bag of crisps, terry’s chocolate orange bar, 2 bottles of coke.

Will probably go to the pub tonight to see friend from last night. I talked her ears off so need to say thanks. I doubt I’ll drink though.

Have post-alcohol blues today. I’m very weepy. I hate feeling like this.

Therealamandaclarke · 20/09/2013 21:44

hazel I hope you're feeling better. Tea, tea, and tea and food are needed. The blues will go.

Today

D: cheese and ham omlette with a few actifry chips and peas. Chocolate ice cream.
S: Blush several milk tray. Oops!
E: 30 push ups, 50 "abs". Walking in the park.

Not the best healthy day but it could have been worse Hmm

RubyGoat · 21/09/2013 11:17

Hi everyone.
OMG my new work schedule is killing me. Suffice to say I struggle to find time for breakfast or lunch on a weekday. Am exhausted. I may only be able to post at weekends for a while. On the positive side, I'm nearly back down to my pre pregnancy weight.

O&D FRs

Hazelbrowneyes · 21/09/2013 11:42

Hi All

Lego so sorry work is making you exhausted x
Amanda potatoes with the ham Grin

Yesterday:
Pepperami
Grab bag of S&V Crisps
Steak pie
Tin of beans and sausages
Terrys chocolate orange bar
Lamb curry with rice
Lots of thai sweet chilli crisps with red pepper hummus
4 gins

Jeez. Too much food.

Anyway, I’m starting 5:2 next week. I can’t continue to scoff this much food.

Today:
B – eggy bread but I didn’t eat all of it
L – had planned to take my mum out but she’s changed her mind so no idea
D – depends on lunch

Work is stressful to the point I’m sat here unable to know where to start. Not sure if any of you remember the person who threatened us in May? The criminal court case is still ongoing and now he’s taking me to civil court. I just want to hide away under the duvet until all this is sorted. It’s really taking its toll on my health – physical and mental.

Anyway, 20 mins until I go home and I really need to get some work done. O&DFRs xxx

TimeAgainForWellies · 21/09/2013 16:07

hey all.

hugs everyone

Can't write properly. Nothing to report. My mid-week guest has gone, and we have people over tonight for dinner. Making lamb madras, chicken korma, all out of a jar as really can't be arsed.

Therealamandaclarke · 23/09/2013 08:04

Morning.

I have eaten too much over the last week, especially the weekend.
Picnic yesterday. Too much cake.
It's because I'm so tired. I feel like I need sugar to keep going (I probably don't but that's how I feel) and I don't have the mental energy required to resist temptation. I am fully exhausted.
hazel sorry about the knobhead. I would try to think of the court issue as an administrative process to take the sting out of it. It's not personal. He is blustering about because he didn't get his own way of something he wanted to buy. In essence it's just about shopping. He can't hurt you.
I know it must be very stressful but a bit of distance mig help IYSWIM.
