Mmm . scampi. :) Yum.

Am deffo going to break all the rules today.

My dog bit the postman. (Another thread). And the nursery told me they think DC3 is on the spectrum and want to get him tested.

Comfort eating alert.

I think DC3 is delightfully eccentric. (He makes us laugh like anything).

Thanks hope all the FR are having good days. :)

There were lots of smileys in that post but actually I am very :(.

DH rang me from IKEA. Muttering about meatballs, track shelving and leaving work early so we can discuss our dog and a new fence.

Happy Friday FR's.

Oh wellies I'm sorry you're having a tough time.
How bad was the bite? Do you know what they're going to do?
And poor little DS. I bet he is really funny and quirky. Oh they're such a worry.
I'm sorry you're sad today. Thinking of you.
Would you like to know what I've eaten today as a distraction?
Well, anyway:
B: bacon, egg, toast and coffee all cooked by my lovely DSisIL.
L: half a pizza express 4 seasons pizza and some garlic bread. A chocolate ice cream (1 scoop in a posh cornet).
D: Blush half a large lamb kebab, a few chips, a mars ice cream and three pieces of Turkish delight (who brought that back from holiday???)
TOM so I suspect it won't end there.

Onwards and outwards downwards FRs.

SixPackWellies · 12/07/2013 20:56

Hi Em

Thanks.

The bite was thankfully not very bad. And we are putting in measures so it never happens again, as far as we can organise.

I have been distraught all day, and evening, and Dh has come home and is shitty and pissed off and we have had a massive argument. I feel like everything DS does tonight I cannot enjoy because I am looking for signs. And I certainly cannot play with my dog because she hurt someone and I feel so responsible for that.

It's all a bit crap really. So I am going to go to bed and see what it all looks like tomorrow.

Poor wellies both husbands and dogs can be very annoying.
Ds's though can do no wrong, as you know, so snuggle your scummy boy up close. Many very successful men have a touch asd don't they.
Not meaning to sound flippant. It must be weighing down on you.
Hope you get a good sleep tonight.

SixPackWellies · 13/07/2013 13:44

Thanks Emily. Thanks

DH and i had another major row this morning and i told him to go out of the house for an hour and to come back as a human being.

He did. He has. But we are a bit on eggshells around each other.

The Mail people came and we discussed what had happened, and hopefully it is fine. Poor postman.

DS... i am talking to my father who is an educational psychologist and he said that he has never picked up anything that might indicate, and has given me some ideas about how to go forwards with the nursery. He is terribly terribly shy though, and this is something I never dwell upon or force him to be more sociable, because I was also shy and I think better to support, rather than push IYSWIM. DS has just had a chocolate ice cream and a run in the park and is happy with the world.

Our guests are arriving sometime between lunch and dinner. I am making a roast chicken and have no intention of juicing today.

Am feeling fragile, but a little more in control.

How is everyone else? So far it has all been 'me me me'!

Oh- also- will be namechanging again to TooHotForWellies.. :)

Bakingnovice · 13/07/2013 14:11

Wellies hope today is better for you. How you're coping with guests given your other stresses, and this flipping heat, I do not know. Hang in there!

Emilythornesbff · 13/07/2013 14:15

It most certainly is toohotforwellis.
How fab to have your ed psych dad to offer some advice. That's great.

I hope things go,smoothly with your guests.

I am sitting INDOORS in the worlds most untidy house. A combination of setting up DD's bedroom (too cute), unpacking my overnight over packing and gathering stuff to do a car boot tomorrow.
I really really hate mess. It confuddles my already sleep deprived brain.
So here I sit, feeding dd, digesting my tortilla chips and yogurt (lunch) and waiting for someone to rescue me from the mess.
It ain't gonna happen.
DS is "helpin" DH downstairs.
Oh. No. He's just come upstairs on his own!!!

SixPackWellies · 13/07/2013 17:40

ggaaaah!!!!!

(potential) guests are on the phone as we speak and said it was too hot to travel today, so they will be here tomorrow!

Hurrah! A brief reprieve!

Happy saturday everyone!

Fucking hell that's short notice!

RubyGoat · 13/07/2013 23:14

Hi everyone. I've been reading occasionally but not posting. Had family issues, also the weather has meant I needed to get myself off the sofa & get that allotment sorted. Exhausting. It's like a bloody jungle.

Wellies I'm sorry you're having a hard time atm. Hopefully the guests will decide not to arrive at all - any chance?

Emily I know what you mean about mess. I am naturally a fairly tidy person, a place for everything & all that. However DH is the exact opposite, he will literally leave empty sweet wrappers, beer bottles etc on the floor, for days. Weeks even if they are somewhere I don't inspect daily (ie under his side of the bed).s

RubyGoat · 13/07/2013 23:18

Sorry, that was supposed to say also, that it drives me crackers. This (the problem with my posts) is the other reason I've stopped posting as much. I SO need an Ipad or at least a half decent phone.

Emilythornesbff · 14/07/2013 12:40

Hey lego
Good luck with your allotment. Looking forward to horticultural updates.

RubyGoat · 14/07/2013 22:31

Thanks Emily. I also finished DD's jumper, she looks incredibly cute in it! Obviously not suitable weather for it atm, it's still SO hot here. I am more tanned than I've been in about a decade.

Must go to bed, have to get up for work in the morning. Yawn...

SixPackWellies · 15/07/2013 05:44

Good morning all,

Hope you are all well this morning. Lego hope your family stuff is sorted.

I had two mini magnums yesterday Emily so will join you on the shocking ice cream consumption!

The guests did arrive, and have been quite user friendly so far. But I ate and drank way too much as we went for hamburgers and cider.

Back to juicing today.

O&D FR!

Morning all, sorry for going AWOL this weekend.

My memory is bloody useless so I can?t quite remember what I had on Thursday and Friday but it went a bit like this:

Steak & salad, way too much chorizo, way too many crisps, yummy bread, bacon & eggs, loads of olives, far too much cheese, pork steaks, potatoes and a reasonable amount of ice cream. Oh and wine. Lots and lots of wine.

Saturday:
B ? pain au chocolat
L ? packet of low fat crisps
D ? sharing platter of meats and cheese (1 between 6 of us so didn?t have an awful lot) followed by wild mushroom girasole with basil pesto, mozzarella and sundried tomatoes and then hazelnut bombe ice cream (ice cream covered in hazelnuts with a meringue centre, gorgeous). I fully recommend Prezzo, we had an amazing afternoon.
S ? crisps and dip and again lots of wine.

Sunday:
B ? pain au chocolat
L ? bread & crackers with cheese, dip & olives
D ? pork steaks with salad, corn on the cob and potato salad.
S ? crisps and dip, ice cream, not as much wine Grin

I?ve put on 2lbs (doh, no surprise though) so I?m back on the wagon today. Obviously this will be hampered by the fact that we dug up some of our potatoes yesterday ? bloody hell they?re delicious and we?re inundated with them.

Today:
B ? pain au chocolat (spotting a theme here?)
L ? feta salad
D ? who knows. I?d imagine it will be something with salad. Possibly steak.
S ? I have a breakfast bar, low fat crisps and a chocolate mousse at work.

I feel quite motivated ? purely because Goodwood is in 2 weeks and I?d like to be half a stone lighter. I aim to drink lots of water, no alcohol, eat small portions and ideally exercise. I do need to sunbathe though so I?ve got a lot to fit in this week Grin

Work has gone absolutely mental this morning, I guessed it would but I still wasn?t prepared so I really need to get on with something! Hope you?re all ok, sorry for no personals, I?ve got so much to do this morning! xx

SixPackWellies · 15/07/2013 10:46

Morning again,

That Prezzo menu sounds divine. What a girasole?

I am a bit tired of juice already....... onto my beetroot, orange carrot extravaganza as I type.

OP posts:
Hazelbrowneyes · 15/07/2013 11:14

Wellies Ah you poor thing, I think I'd be a bit fed up of just juice by now! A Girasole is pretty much a big, round bit of ravioli. So a poncy way of saying mushroom ravioli I think Wink

This morning has been manic - I haven't yet had the chance to think about food.

Oh, a friend is giving me a "quick boost" diet sheet - it involves tuna, beetroot and cauliflower. I will report back once I've seen it.

SixPackWellies · 15/07/2013 11:24

Oh that sounds scrumptious, Hazel! Love ravioli.

I am going to push through the pain barrier and try and juice until the evening meal every day until Thursday weigh in. :) Fingers crossed. I really noticed I had lost weight..... I wore a dress yesterday that usually I only ever wear sucky-in knockers with and did not need them!

Dinner tonight though will be beef fajitas without the tortilla and with lost of veggies. :)

Would love to hear about the diet boost info also!

What are you planning to wear to Goodwood? I have a function on the 4th, and if I can fit into it I have a red linen shirt dress I would love to wear. If I cannot, then it is a black skirt and a wraparound black linen jacket.

O& D FR!

OP posts:
SixPackWellies · 15/07/2013 11:26

ahem. That sentence was meant to be sucky-in knickers, not knockers. My knockers were definitely NOT sucked in! (Low cut).

OP posts:
Emilythornesbff · 15/07/2013 20:25

Evening FRs.
hazel your Saturday menu looks scummy. Please keep us informed about the boost diet.

wellies you're doing so well with your juicing/ fasting.
If it's getting tiresome I would be tempted to drop to alternate days or maybe two or three days a week. That way I think you'd be likely to keep it up for longer.
PMSL at "sucky-in knockers"

Fasting today. No calories apart from some milk in tea and coffee.
It's been ok. Been to a toddler party, complete with crisps, sausage rolls, watmelon and cake. DS and DH had BBQ lamb this evening. Not touched a morsel. [smug].
NFD tomorrow. I plan to skip breakfast as this has helped to curb my appetite previously.
Really looking forward to a falafel wrap for lunch and spaghetti primavera (augmented with some chicken) for dinner tomorrow.
O&D

Bakingnovice · 15/07/2013 21:16

Everyone is doing so well. I'm not fasting as still trying to break the grand daddy of all plateaus! Still running though and trying my bestest to stay away from the magnums. Only had one last week so doing well!

Emilythornesbff · 16/07/2013 07:27

baking only one magnum a wek is a bit like fasting Grin excellent running! Really impressed.

Emilythornesbff · 16/07/2013 07:28

NFD.
DH is cooking bacon and eggs for himself and DS.
I am skipping breakfast Envy

RubyGoat · 16/07/2013 08:40

Hi fellow revs.

Forgot to weigh yesterday (!) so I have today. Am now 10stone 4.5lb. Yay - finally a loss! I decided to start using my PM track on my Ipod before bed again, in an effort to break the plateau. Seems to have worked.
