Would anyone like to join me? I am a yo yo dieter, a failed WW (could not bear the small portions) failed SW (went wild on Free foods) and I eat too much of the wrong sorts of food. I binge then starve and I want to get out of that cycle. I also enjoy my evening 3 glass of wine a little too much! I feel bloated, pasty, tired and I hate how I look in the mirror. I am about to hit 40, and I refuse to spend any more time hating myself. I want to deal with my psychological food issues, and I want to finally be the woman I am meant to be.

I am 5 ft 2 and weigh 11 stone 3.

My aim- to increase fruit and veg. To cut out wheat as I bloat very badly on wheat. To take as much care over my own diet as I do over the diets of my children and my husband. To not treat my body like a rubbish bin.

As of this morning. I am tired. My skin is pale and blotchy. I am very bloated in the stomach. I am aiming to lose 24 pounds, but want to do it properly and without feeling deprived. I want to make this process luxurious, with a focus on gorgeous healthy food.

Today's plan:

Breakfast - fruit and natural yoghurt with a drizzle of honey.

Lunch - home made carrot and coriander soup.

Dinner - fresh veg risotto.

I need ideas for delicious alcohol-free drinks. Currently I love a splash of grapefruit juice and soda water.

Anyone want to join me? The focus is on good food, and to deal with the psychological issues around bingeing and self hatred. I am not a psychologist, just someone who needs- and can offer support!

Weigh in days will be Mondays and Thursdays.

Hi I've been having a bad food week so didn't post... Weighed myself this morning & am 11 stone 3, I think that's total loss of 1 stone 5 so far. Back to it this week & am determined to plan & eat properly, not fall to the Cookie Monster.
Must also resist the obsession with weighing myself daily.

Morning all, hope you all had a great weekend.

DMother arrived friday, and there was not a peep out of her until last night when she said 'How much do you weigh now then?' i said that I did not know, and my Dfather jumped in and told her firmly 'it really is none of your business'. Otherwise the visit is going well. I just need to keep telling myself that this is her issue, not mine, and I cannot make it mine.

We are out for a pub meal tonight, and it will be a veg day for me, but possibly not an alcohol-free one!

twinkle your menu looks delicious. How's the l.c. Bootcamp?

I'm coming to te end of a 24 hr fast. Feel good actually, i could keep going and skip dinner i thnk. Shock gonna weigh myself tomorrow and preparing for disappointment as inthink the last weigh in might have been a fluke.

Bootcamp is fine although I have to confess I am doing my own version ie I'm having half a sugar in my tea/coffee. I can't cope otherwise!

Menu today:

Scrambled eggs
Wagamama beef noodle soup without the noodles
Chicken cooked fajita style, homemade guacamole and salad for dinner

I missed breakfast this morning as I was up to my eyes in something and by the time I finished it was practically lunchtime so I had a brunchy omelette made with 1 egg and some egg whites (Thankyou Two Chicks ladies for bringing this to our shelves) and chucked loads of mushrooms and tomatoes in and it was delish.

I've had a pink wafer and an apple this afternoon and am about to have HUGE salad and some haddock cooked in a little bit of butter and an olive ciabatta roll. Think I'm finally finding my stride again.

Today's weight: 9st 7lb 8oz.
Start weight 3weeks ago: 10st3lb 5oz.
Target weight 8st 4lb.

So a good weight gain but worried about my scales as I weighed less last week. Buti admit that seemed like a fluke.
Non fasting day today and I've had some muesli.

Morning all. Everyone seems to be doing well.

Going okay SAHRum, thanks. Bit patchy. No real comments since my Dfather told her to be quiet. But, for some unknown reason she decided to 'help' by folding clothes off the line and I caught her looking in them all to see what size I am. Then said 'Oh, it is so hard to be between sizes, isn't it?'. I am 12/14. Grrrrrr. Otherwise generally okay. We have been having lots of grilled meats and salads, so have been eating well. I simply cannot weigh until the visit is over because I need to be in denial!

9 st 7 is my goal, too Em and Twinkle!

I am doing SO badly, it's not even funny.

I've given up with MFP, given up with eating anything remotely healthy too. GAH.

Going to forget about my crapness this week and properly start again, with exercise, next week.

The only good thing I've managed to do this week is completely cut out sugar in my tea.

slimfit stay strong. You are a revolutionary and you don't need to binge.
hazel what are you like? So hard on yourself. It's great that you've stopped your tea sugar.
Btw I am LOVING intermittent fasting. Fast days are exciting and no deprivation for 5 days a week. Only a couple of weeks in but it's great so far. Just read the book.

Em I'd seriously love to turn things around but DH is away and I'm comfort eating.

Yesterday: Croissant for breakfast, massive hot chocolate from costa, creamy cheese mugshot, packet of mini cheddars, 4 finger kit kat, egg fried rice, 2 squares of lindt chocolate and 3 glasses of wine. I have no self control!

Today I had a croissant for breakfast, I've got a tomato and herb mugshot for lunch, s&v squares and a twirl. Dinner will be curried chicken, bacon and almond risotto with copious amounts of wine with a friend. Likely to come home and have another 2 squares of chocolate.

Tomorrow I'm being treated to a takeaway, would be churlish to refuse. The WORLD is conspiring against me losing weight.

Oh and 2 parties to go to on Saturday.

I also have no desire to exercise.

Yes, it's that time of the month too.

I am still 2lbs less than I was 2 weeks ago which is a good thing. Must focus on the positives.

Grin hazel. Bloody hormones! I know. Sometimes you just gotta eat. And chocolate and wine: yum!
How about a fast on Friday.
And I know that empty feeling when dh is away. You have my sympathies. I used to find that really difficult.

I could fast on Friday actually, that wouldn't be too difficult. Late lunch of a mugshot and then veg stirfry or something for dinner. Good call Em!
