Dancing I hope your ds is feeling better.

DancingInTheMoonlight · 15/03/2013 21:48

Ds has Febrile convulsions (and a Lot of them grr). Turns out the culprit this time is chicken pox!! He is fine bar a temperature and itching. Not too many spots so far!

Tortoise · 16/03/2013 00:24

Oh no Dancing. Hope he doesn't get too many spots.

ICBINEG · 16/03/2013 00:59

Gah! so sorry to hear all the troubles!

I hope everyones children are better soon!

Youcanringmybell · 16/03/2013 07:21

Oh I see Dancing. Just horrible. How old is you ds?? My neice had lots of febriles until the age of 5 yrs/6yrs.

I hope he just has a few days of spots. Atleast you have now don chicken pox!! It will not be looming over you now. Goodluck - i found sudocrem dried out the blisters quicker Thanks

DancingInTheMoonlight · 16/03/2013 08:31

Thanks everyone. He is just 2. Luckily his temperature seems to have gone but the spots are coming thick and fast. I have some soothing gel, piriton, pain killers and calamine lotion in. He doesn't seen to be bothered by them yet but its early days. I'm actually really glad he's got them while young and will have no/little memory of them.

Diet wise I'm back on the wagon today after a number of faltering starts. I need to stop overbooking it and just get in with it!

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 16/03/2013 19:25

damcing, youcan I hope your boys are both feeling better today.

Good news, I passed my driving test yesterday! Only took 20 years. I failed lots when I was 17 so it was a massive achievement. Just need to buy a car, I know nothing about them so that'll be a hard decision.

I also had a lovely healthy lunch with mil today and I think she was trying to compliment my weight loss. She tends to come across as rude (trying to be funny) but I know she doesn't mean it.

DancingInTheMoonlight · 16/03/2013 20:13

Congratulations Johnny! Driving is life changing! What would you be using your car for? I do a lot of town driving and love my micra but think i will need to get a bigger car next despite it being deceptively big.

I've been ok eating wise today. Not done mfp as got a clingy cuddly ds but feeling back on track despite my small glass of wine tonight

Tortoise · 16/03/2013 20:20

Johnny Well done Smile .
I've never tried driving! No way I could afford to if I wanted too. Luckily we get around easily by train Smile

Youcanringmybell · 16/03/2013 21:10

Congratulations Johnny Thanks

Well done!!!!!
I am going to start learning in May - I shall have you as my inspiration ...well done!!!!

TheHumancatapult · 17/03/2013 06:55

Dancing yes I agree they scarey :( hope ds is better and yours is to Youcan

Congratulations johnny

Tortoise I don't drive either I could get adapted. But tbh 99% time not issue with having my power chair and living where we Do mile from Majn station and can be in Londkn in 30 mins or Cambridge in 35 and Fron there it's easy get most placed ( train cheap ti

Youcanringmybell · 17/03/2013 08:02

Thanks - yes my son is improving greatly! The eczema looks much improved..less raised and angry. I think the infection has gone out of it now ans it looks like brown, leathery dry skin (nice!) rather than red and blistered.
I am relieved!!!

Is everyone looking forward to weigh in?? I really really want to see an 11 on the scales tomorrow

TheHumancatapult · 17/03/2013 08:16

im ok aout tomorrow have been pretty good knowing easter\holiday so close.Need watch my diet coke as started creeping up and have not drunk enough water either< tired>or that could been down to all day shopping with dd Friday and then preparing birthday tea yesterday

DancingInTheMoonlight · 17/03/2013 09:30

Ds is doing well this morning following a temp spike last night (no fit tho!). Lots more spots this morning- all the lotions and piriton have made then not to itchy so far. Dreading weigh in tomorrow....

Tortoise · 17/03/2013 11:06

I'm dreading weigh in too. I'm sure I've gained Sad .
I went bra shopping yesterday and The sight in the full length mirrors was hideous Sad .

DancingInTheMoonlight · 17/03/2013 11:45

Shop mirrors are designed to make everyone look awful and feel crap about themselves. The lighting in changing rooms is also unflattering. A good bra should def help give you a better shape tho :-)

CheckpointCharlie · 17/03/2013 21:28

Hello! Sorry have been absent lately. I have eaten shit over the last few days and I really need a proper kick right up my bum!!!!!

Went to my hippy tai chi man and did 40 mins of cardio so am pretty tired now but I don't think it will have touched the weight I have put on.

No idea why I have suddenly fallen off the wagon. I need help!!!!

Wow! johnny congrats that is fab!

Oh no, poorly children, youcan is he ok now? Looks so sore. And dancing gosh, poor up you and DS, how stressful. Get well soon little ones.

Tortoise · 17/03/2013 23:23

If only I'd found a good bra Sad . Was comfy when I tried it on but digging in more and today.

I'm an idiot! Swallowed a piece of roast potato tonight (probably not chewed properly) and its scratched my throat. Bloody hurts when I swallow.
On a positive side it may stop me stuffing my fat face for a day or two.

TheHumancatapult · 18/03/2013 06:10

Tortoise new bras do feel really tight at first but do give a bit after a while .need be tight on chest as thats what provides support

Dancing and Youcan how are the dc feeling?any more spots out dancing

checkpoint could be that got complacent and thought well I have lost some weight now look better oh that will do kind of thought?maybe keep diary of what you eaten

ok weigh in this morning .10.1 so 2 and 1/2 of for me . i can smell that cheese and bread for 10 stone

Youcanringmybell · 18/03/2013 06:41

10 st human Shock - you are tiny!!!!! Pics please Grin

Son s doing much better - the photo on my profile is th eupdated one now it is looking better...

CCC - Don't worry, it will happen, down a bit, up a bit, down a bit more, up a little....but you WILL get there. Remember this is a long process. Just think ow more aware you are of food and how quickly you whip yourself into touch when over indulged!! Thanks

I think I am only managing it through the fact that I have a wedding to attend in a few weeks and my oh due home soon (12 days ish?) and I am desperate to hit the 2stone loss mark.

Weigh in this morning is 11st13 and quarter! Relieved - havn't been in the 11's for 3 years...need to make 11st10 before he gets home argh

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 18/03/2013 07:22

5lbs off for me! 11 st! So the 3 I added last week were only temporary, icb human how do you know so much about dieting? I think you both said it would drop off. Next week want to be below 11st.

Looking forward to driving. I am close to school, town station but I find it stressful walking everywhere with dd2 who, at 2, has a tendency to run off. And I have to keep turning down playdates as I can't get to people's houses.

Well done human. Is this your target? Are you happy now? Or are you going lower?

Youcanringmybell · 18/03/2013 07:23

Well done Johnny - you have done brilliant!!! 11 st is amazing Smile

TheHumancatapult · 18/03/2013 07:38

Johnny

When had few days of back in September and couple in dec I saw the same effect it gives metabolic rate kick up the arse as it gets used to a certain amount of calories Well done on the weightloss and you can do it

youcan

That is fab well done . Take it date definte now for dh to be home ? and you can do it that 11 stone even if not think how much you lost already

Johnny no my plan is sit between 9.7 and 10 stone . So 7 or 8lb ish to go but I shall have my cheese and bread once below 10 stone as been promising myself that . Then I shall be good diet wise next 3 weeks to holiday . Take 5 days of whole away ( not planning pigging out but will slacken of abit) then plan loose what ever put on there and move to maintaing it so slowly increase my calories to find a level but am thinking to help maintain that I may have a couple fast days a week so 5/2

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 18/03/2013 07:41

tortoise sympathy for your roast potato injury. (but I am more than a little jealous, yum, I had vegetables in a pub yesterday and then watched everyone else eat potatoes and Yorkshire puds.)

coffeewineandchocolate · 18/03/2013 08:17

Hi all. I'm in disguise as trying or a new name. Ds is still very spotty and had a high temp last night but seems fine within himself this morning. Spots just keep multiplying!

Not such god news on the weight front, 1lb on :-(. Not really surprising but i guess i was hoping for a miracle haha. Now 10st 13
