OOh Cookie I am near you...when I get to 11st10 i will be at the 2 stone loss. I am aiming for that - so I need to lose 6 pounds in just over two weeks...

cookieowner · 11/03/2013 13:47

Oo youcan you must have been the exact same weight as me when we started then (13st 10), although i can bet i am so much shorter , so therefore a lot more overweight....!
i still want to lose another 2 stone 10 but i am determined to now

ICBINEG · 11/03/2013 14:03

Gosh 13 st 10 is exactly what I started at too....I wonder if there is something about 13 st 10 that makes you think enough is enough?

It's not a round number in imperial or metric...how strange!

CheckpointCharlie · 11/03/2013 14:47

13 10 is kind of where I am now, one stone down, well done cookie!

I will get there!

I will write all your names down and put them on the inside of my fridge and cupboard door to stop me!

OP posts:
Youcanringmybell · 11/03/2013 15:58

Yes I was 13st10 when OH departed..so it was a wake up call. It is just a skip away from the next stone when on the old '10' pounds..Enough to only just be safe from going up but not enough ...

Thanks for reassurance everyone, hoping that my gain is just a temporary blip. Can't remember when I last went to the toilet (tmi?) and had AF so perhaps I will go down quickly.

Had mum and brother over for late mothers day celebration today so we ate at carvery. I was quite restrained and have just had a salad for dinner. Fortunately I have no more plans to go out til Easter so I can just eat healthily for a couple of weeks.

Mum rude about my spare tyre. If I were 8 st she'd still find something to criticise.

I started 13 st 9. I hadn't weighed myself for about 2 years but was about a stone heavier than I thought. I was horrified to think I was almost 14 st.

human glad you're home. Hope dc are looking after you.

icb 10 st 4 is amazeballs, I can only dream of being that weight. Well done.

cookie two stone is fab.

Youcanringmybell · 11/03/2013 20:08

Well we have all got to start somewhere...Smile

Good news that you are home Human.

Hope everyone manages a good week. Sometimes life just seems to get in the way.
Human: They only moved his date about 10 days...but then there was talk of him coming home 10 days earlier.. and so all in all it has had a scope of 20 days. Doesn't sound like much but he has been gone 5 and half months..every day is counting at the moment.

Anyway - hopefully max of 3 weeks? But I dont yet know.

TheHumancatapult · 12/03/2013 08:01

You can I can only imagine how hard it is not knowing either. Sad but you are doing well . He better notice differance or he have a group MN willing to bop him over the head for you

TheHumancatapult · 12/03/2013 08:13

Dancing

I know what you mean about the day sister I have two step sisters and a sister ( was fostered age 11 by my folkand never left )

Ok my sister I'm never going be tiny as she only 5 foot 8 stone nothing . Step sister one is tiny to height /weight but I'm now slimmer than my other step sister she is not impressed Grin If standing I'm taller than the lot of them to

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 12/03/2013 13:17

A snow day today as we had loads of snow yesterday. So I've got both dd1 and dd2 at home. The roads in my area weren't gritted so my road has got abandoned cars up and down it. I felt awful watching them get stuck in the snow from dd2s bedroom window last night.

Dh has braved the elements and gone to work.

By some miracle my ocado food order has come but it's all healthy food when right now I could really do with some stodge. Spinach and watercress soup tonight with salad, yuk!

Youcanringmybell · 13/03/2013 06:52

Oh Johnny - I know it is awful when there is nothing decent in the house ! When my order comes I always used to get such nice things...but when ou unpack only the basic food to get by it is a let down.

Did you enjoy the soup? I had a manky light choices (tesco) jacket potato and beans. Urgh.

DancingInTheMoonlight · 13/03/2013 07:19

Just checking in. I weighed in last night at 10st12 so 5lb on in 2 weeks.... Finding it difficult to get back into the swing of things after 2 weeks of excess!

The exhaustion is also catching up (didn't stop the whole 2 weeks i was off) and work is really busy...hopefully today will be the day to get back on track!

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 13/03/2013 10:43

youcan the soup was nice (more for lunch today) but I really craved something a bit more stodgy. I really fancied chocolate or chips but i couldn't be bothered to get the kids dressed in warm gear to walk/slide on slippery non-gritted pavements just to go to the nearest shop. I have already bought their Easter treats so deserve a medal for not scoffing them.

dancing yes, yes totally agree. after just 3 days of over eating my taste for rubbish came back and i had that awful 'i'm not hungry but i really want to eat something' feeling that got me here even though my skin and hair look like crap and I felt bloated.

Sneaky weigh-in this morning and fortunately I have lost Monday's weight gain so might be in the 10s before Easter. I have loads of vegetables in the house so tonight I'm planning on having stuffed aubergines or peppers.

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 13/03/2013 10:49

dancing have you thought of fasting? I have had two fast days since December. Both were busy days and I suddenly realised I hadn't eaten at 2 o'clock and so I took a late decision to go another three hours and then have just one meal. I think when you're busy it's quite easy to fast. In fact I was thinking of doing it yesterday but as dd1 was home from school she would've noticed me not eating so I ate with her and dd2 instead.

Youcanringmybell · 13/03/2013 12:11

Johnny -well done for not having the stoge. I felt the same last night - this cold weather does nothing but bad. I have a bag of malteasers and some throntons chocs in cupboard for mothers day. I havnt had them and it is killing me.
Dancing - I second the fasting! Worth a try Smile

ICBINEG · 13/03/2013 12:26

grrr I think I am going to have to go running if I am going to lose this last stone.

maaaan.

Went out for a nice dinner at college last night and whole pound on today.

Youcanringmybell · 13/03/2013 13:24

Oh Icb...running - it is far too cold for that nonsense. I remember going last year in -7 Shock. I was completely numb and ok outside whilst running but when i got in the itch and burn whilst my skin de-numbed was almost unbearable.

Maybe some start jumps in the sitting room perhaps??? Wink

ICBINEG · 14/03/2013 09:24

well quite.

I just seem to have stalled...so I need to do something new...and it sure as hell isn't going to be eat even less....

Will try and get swimming this week though...that might help.

Oh and some tit of a badminton club chairman has put me forward for playing county level again but I doubt that will amount to anything...

JohnnyDeppsfuturewife · 14/03/2013 11:40

Running is just hideous. I joined a jogging club after dd1 and I really enjoyed the coffee and cake afterwards. Put on a ton of weight. icb have you thought about the shred? I'm too lazy but some women on here swear by it. Apparently it's on YouTube so you can see what it involves. I'm too lazy to even do a YouTube search.

Weird body changes. So I still have a massive stomach that starts at ribs and hangs over knickers. It has shrunk but my waist is still 34 inches and i am conscious of it. But in the shower this morning I noticed my inner thighs no longer touch (apart from at the top). What a pointless place to lose weight! My outer thighs don't seem to have changed so my bum and legs still look biggish. It is a part of my body that no one will ever see unless I wear hot pants or a very short skirt or leggings with a top that just covers my bum and tum. At my age (40) those are just not clothing options. Why can't my body lose weight in a sensible place? I'm only about 6 or 7lbs away from my original target (BMi of 25) but I wonder if I am going to have to lose another 1 to 1 1/2 stone to lose my tummy.

Shouldn't complain but I find it funny that there seems to be no correlation between how much weight I lose and number of inches lost and where those inches are. I had kind of expected weightloss to be more all over rather than the parts of me I'm happy with (boobs and legs).
