glad its not just me ;) Did parkrun yesterday, but that doesn't involve going out in the dark Xmas Smile

Movingforward123 · 09/12/2012 17:52

Hey everyone, good news I have lost 6 possibly 7lbs already and tomorrow will be 2 weeks in SmileSmile

Wow if I could loose the same again in the next 2 weeks I would be over the moon. But I'm sure it will slow down, it always does.

But for the first time in two years I feel like its very possible to reach my goal weight and I'm not dreading it atall! Confused very unusual for me.

So if I keep loosing 2lbs I will be 9.10 for Xmas which I will be happy with.

cinnamongreyhound · 09/12/2012 18:19

Well done Movingforward123! I lost 5lb my first week, then 3 and then 1-2 from then onwards. It's a great start and being 9st 10 by Christmas sounds like you don't have a huge way to travel Xmas Smile

I lost 2lb this week after maintaining for a few weeks. 25lb loss. Very happy with that. Hubby's birthday tomorrow and mine next week but trying to stay on the wagon during christmas as I've done it before.

If anyone wants to add me on MFP I'm Grooveecar x

aPirateInaPearTree · 10/12/2012 11:08

thankyou cinnamon. have had visitors over and have put on 2lbs this week, by basically not sticking to enough good things, like the veg/salad. or enough protein (am veggie). It's quite tricky to eat out as a veggie and not be faced with cheese.

back on the more mindful eating as of today.

MackerelOfFact · 11/12/2012 09:56

Hello everyone. Really impressed by anyone who has managed to get outside an do exercise in this Arctic weather! And anyone who has managed to lose anything too, as it seems completely evolutionarily counter-productive to be trying to lose our winter stores. (At least that's what I'm telling myself! Blush)

I haven't lost anything in absolutely ages. I've been pretty bad for several weeks (lots of cake, takeaways and wine have featured) and feel like a house but I have been fluctuating back and forth over the same couple of pounds. For the time being and over Christmas I'll be happy to maintain my current weight, and then I'll hit it hard in January to get rid of the last stone or so.

I also passed my driving test (on the 8th attempt!) the other week so I've been driving places that I would've walked to previously, just to get more confident on the road. Which isn't helping!

wheredidiputchristmas · 11/12/2012 11:16

Congratulation on passing your driving test Mackerel.

I've sort of stopped MFP for now moved to maintenance for Dec. Although I'm still trying not to eat more then 1200 cal a day. As I have so many things to do/going out I'm not going to stress about dieting.

RGPargy · 12/12/2012 07:30

Bookmarking ladies!! Sorry I haven't been on lately. Am currently busy with baking projects which is not good for the non existent diet i seem to be on at the moment! [Fhmm]

MackerelOfFact · 12/12/2012 12:33

Thanks wheredidiputchristmas!

Really craving a brie and cranberry sandwich, so just checked out the calories for the one they do in Pret - here. Fabulous news, I'll have 10! Grin

Wow thread is quiet at the moment, hope that's a good sign and just means no one needs any support!

I ran almost 6 miles with my running group Saturday, very proud of myself Xmas Grin

I am maintaining nicely, although I am wearing so many layers atm I look big.
Xmas Hmm
But today I bought Baileys, it is one of the reasons I put so much weight on last Christmas so must be restrictive Xmas Grin
How are you doing Cinnamon Xmas Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 19/12/2012 21:33

Other than a crappy cold that's getting on my nerves I'm good. Running going well, cold all the time (putting it down to lack of insulation!) and staying very close to 9st 4 so happy. Looking forward to a few days off I'm knackered!

OP posts:
MonsterBookOfTinsel · 19/12/2012 21:43

Sounds good! I am cold more often too, I am sitting wearing a jumper which I never used to do Xmas Grin
Hope your cold buggars off!
I am at 9st 12lb which is ok, I have stayed the same Xmas Smile

Weekipper · 21/12/2012 09:30

Hi, I've just restarted MFP! I'd used it to keep track of weight during pregnancy to avoid putting excessive amounts on, but now I'm eating worse than ever. My name is the same please feel free to add me. Smile

wheredidiputchristmas · 21/12/2012 10:33

I'm/DH and me are having a break for a couple of weeks over Christmas/New Year. But will be back next year.

Hope you all have a good christmas and New year.

jchocchip · 22/12/2012 07:35

Happy Christmas everyone! Last year I was really good logging at Christmas and lost weight due to. A combination of swimming and walking to earn the extra calories.

I must really take myself in hand now, don't want to put any more weight back on. Will weigh today and try to maintain over the next week.

jchocchip · 22/12/2012 08:21

Woot lost 5 lbs in 10 days! Even being over target most days, I know my target is too low, but it makes me think about stopping for the day when I sail past it Xmas Blush
