That's it really. Today is day 1 and I feel I could do with a bit of moral support from other VLCDieters.
Cooking the DC's food is not fun. Grin

ooh tricky, do you feel comfortable telling them about the diet? You could cook for everyone and use one of the ketosis recipes on the website but add potatoes for everyone else. For example you could do the chicken and asparagus one and make a creamy tarragon sauce for everyone else.
Don't panic though, the worst that can happen is you delay your weight loss goal a few days.
I would look at the weekend with a positive attitude, you can eat without eating crap and you can have a drink without getting wasted Smile

Thanks I will try my best to stay on right track!! I will go for healthy options, but drink is my main concern...I m really bad at that, no will power :-( thanks again for ur positive support :-)

wannabefit · 15/09/2012 10:09

Yaaaay so far it's ok.I had my soup last night, and wine+olives.nothing else :-) Yaaaay.

LardBean · 15/09/2012 14:33

Well done! You should be really proud of yourself you are clearly breaking the cycle of being controlled by food.
I'm 13 lbs down today, I'll raise a bottle of water to our success! Wink

wannabefit · 16/09/2012 21:43

I m thinking to quit...

LardBean · 16/09/2012 22:44

Nooo! What's happened? Why don't you try doing working solution instead? Being able to have a small meal makes such a difference.

Hi lardbean, thanks for ur concern, it's not that hard now.I can manage but I think m not losing enough. Only 3Ibs per week :( I was really upset yesterday but today I m feeling bit better but still very confused.people loose up to 11Ibs per week and sadly I loose only 3Ibs and that's not enough.

TheReturnoftheSmartArse · 17/09/2012 15:06

Wannabe, 3lbs a week is BRILLIANT. Really it is. 11lb in a week woud be far too much - unhealthy and and not sustainable in the long run. Please don't be hard on yourself and keep going - you're doing well, you really are.

LardBean · 17/09/2012 15:11

3 lbs per week is amazing! I had a good first two weeks but I will be over the moon if I lose 3lbs next week. Don't be disheartened by other people's weightloss, you are still looking at losing a stone a month! Maybe you would be happier trying a different method of losing weight, people on another thread I'm on do My Fitness Pal which seems to work well for them Smile

Thanks guys, I will carry on then. Thanks for encouragement...but I had pasta for lunch and some biscuits wiv ma black coffee :(

LardBean · 17/09/2012 18:04

You can do it Wannabe, just be prepared for a few dodgy days as you go back into ketosis. If I really feel the need to chew something then I have some ham or tuna or even a boiled egg. They are all high in protein and low cal so shouldn't in theory do any damage to my diet.
Remember that there are lots of diets out there and this just might not suit you at the moment. Don't beat yourself up!

wannabefit · 17/09/2012 18:31

Thanks for information lardbean, but I m vegan.I will do it surely.

wannabefit · 18/09/2012 14:48

:( omg!!! Craving for chocolate

LardBean · 18/09/2012 14:54

I just saw something on the tv and now I'm craving waffles and golden syrup...I don't even like golden syrup! Shows its all in the mind.
How are you feeling apart from chocolate cravings?

wannabefit · 18/09/2012 15:20

I know ur so right.I never ever like cheese and nowdays I feel like having cheese sandwiches :( Other then that I m fine. Hate cooking for others.I wish I could lose more then that...Never mind sooner or later I will be there.I had shake only since morning, saving my bar for afternoon coffee. Are we allowed any low calorie snacks or not :(

LardBean · 18/09/2012 16:05

Not technically "allowed" but how about some celery? I find being able to actually bite and chew something really helps.
I'm actually only having two shakes a day and then a protein rich meal in the evening. I make sure it is under 200 cals with barely any carbs eg tinned tuna on salad leaves.

wannabefit · 18/09/2012 16:16

Today is very hard day for me honestly.Free krispy kremes at work to say no to and kids having their subs right here.o dear god don't make it more hard for me :(

wannabefit · 18/09/2012 16:22

Hi lardbean I forgot to ask u how much water do u consume in a day? I drink about 2 to 3 litres.

LardBean · 18/09/2012 16:27

I hate that you are feeling so low wannabe. Are you 100% sure that you want to do this particular diet or would a more flexible one be better for you? Its meant to be hard but you shouldn't be miserable on it iyswim.
If you want to do it you can, you know you can. Come online and vent anytime.

I have so much to lose this is the only way I can keep motivated. I am picturing the end goal of being able to do things like go on fairground rides with the kids. (I probably could now but the fear of being too fat is enough) I have wasted 10 years being fat and limiting what I do because of it.

Try to picture what you want to achieve with the diet, not just your physical state but your lifestyle, confidence etc. Smile

LardBean · 18/09/2012 16:29

I'm drinking loads to keep me full, I got a little concerned when I realised I had had 6 litres the other day. I never thought I would have to cut back my water consumption! Ooh and I'm also treating myself to an Asda Coke Zero in the evenings. I'm actually being really naughty with regards to Exante rules!

OP posts:
LardBean · 18/09/2012 16:30

2 to 3 litres is spot on wannabe

OP posts:
wannabefit · 18/09/2012 18:32

Thanks for motivation lardbean :) together we can achieve excellence. Thanks for always being there for me.I will treat myself with coke zero tonight :) please keep me updated with ur tracks because it really motivates me ;)

LardBean · 18/09/2012 18:41

No problem wannabe, re the coke apparently it is important that it is own brand stuff as it doesn't contain citric acid, apparently malic acid is fine Confused

OP posts:
wannabefit · 18/09/2012 19:02

Thanks for letting me know.I don't know what I would do without you :) coke zero has phosphoric acid in it are we allowed to drink that?
