Youcanringmybell · 30/08/2012 16:08

This is a thread for those who are pig sick of over eating and binging and have decided enough is enough.

There will be no excuses on this thread...no 'oh but I was due my period' or 'oh but it was left over so I finished it' etc

IF you need to have a nice meal as part of a celebration DO IT but no more excuses - have the meal and move on.

This is a thread for the brave.....this is a thread for the serious. Join at your peril.....

Monday mornings are weigh in - so that we cannot binge on the weekends. I am deliberately being hard on myself and if you want to do it to please join. Even if someone wafts wine and banoffee pie under my nose I will not have it - even if the world is going to end I WILL NOT HAVE IT

weigh in Monday morning and post here

Oh and drink some wine and eat some choc while you still can because on Monday you will be in hell Angry

My discovery this week: solero ice creams, only 90 calories!!
Feeling slightly nervous about the weigh in tomorrow...

FermezLaBouche · 09/09/2012 22:06

Night ladies. In bed and a bit pissed off at myself for slipping this weekend, but spose it could be worse. Back in the routine tomorrow, i WILL be a size 14.

FuckityFuckFuck · 09/09/2012 22:36

Had a nice time at the food festival, only nibbled a couple of bits cos nothing was really taking my fancy. Saw some rather lovely cyclists (not many tho, thanks to DS's wonderfully timed tantrum). By 'eck it was hot, so lots of water drank :)

Good luck to everyone in the morning, I really hope I've lost something, anything at all.

Looking forward to reading everybodys good news tomorrow :o

Tortoise · 09/09/2012 22:49

Where did my post go? Hmm

Any way, I put good luck to all for weigh in tomorrow. Hope lots of good losses.Smile

FermezLaBouche · 10/09/2012 06:22

Good luck everyone. I wish I had picked up some scales during the weekend so I could join in, but In promise to this week.
Glad you didn't go mad at the food festival fuckity - I don't think I could be so restrained!

Right - cereal and coffee in front of me, ready for another week of JUST SAYING NO. Look forwards to seeing people's updates later xxx

buggyRunner · 10/09/2012 06:41

samandcj · 10/09/2012 06:53

Good morning folks.
Weighed in at 10st 10 1/2 ............. That's a loss of 2.5
I've been doing the 4:3 (fasting Mon, Wed and Fri) and eating normally the rest of the time (no alcohol at all)
Seems to be working..........so I'll stick to this!
Hope you are all seeing some good results!

xxxresixxx · 10/09/2012 07:09

Hi all. Weighed in at 11St 3 which is a loss of 1lb. I'm happy with this given I started late on in the week and have been stuffing my face while camping this weekend (tho I was running after 4 toddlers...). Just having banana on toast this morning. Lunch if fruit salad and yoghurt planned and Ww lamb tikka masala for tea. I will avoid the biscuits left from the weekend...

buggyRunner · 10/09/2012 07:10

well done sam we lost about the same- I may try the fast thing once!

Youcanringmybell · 10/09/2012 07:12

TIME TO WEIGH - congratulations to those above! You have done fantastic!

My loss is 3 lbs. I am not very happy but it is down to drinking friday night and eating my way through saturday's horrendous hang over.

The difference is I would normally give up on a 3lbs loss on week one. (impatient) but not this time. I am KEEPING IT UP.

Husband deploys on saturday so not sure I am going to be rigid this week as he is off this week. But will be sensible that's for sure.

WELL DONE AND GOOD LUCK xxx

Youcanringmybell · 10/09/2012 07:29

Goonatic · 10/09/2012 07:35

Wow to all of the above!!!!
I was on for a 4ib loss but having drunk wine throughout the entire weekend I have reduced that to 1ib but I might weigh again tomorrow! So am happy to see something but 14.10 is still WAY too heavy.
Considering wine reduction tactics!

TCforTopCat · 10/09/2012 08:08

Good morning, just weighed in and I am now 12st 2lb. I have lost three pounds.
Very happy as did have a few drinks on Saturday!!!
Well done to all of us, and another good week to come Grin

Tschiffely · 10/09/2012 08:15

Everyone's lost so far, whoo hoo Grin.

LetLoveRule · 10/09/2012 08:20

14.7! Have lost 3lb! So pleased - usually I'd lose more the first week, but this time I have been more sensible with what I eat - feels more sustainable this time. Congrats to all the losers! Keep at it!Grin

nankypeevy · 10/09/2012 08:34

CAn I join in?

Just had a weekend of Romanesque self indulgence in preparation for a Lifestyle Change.

Well, if I'm being honest, had a six week stint of gorging - and didn't even really enjoy it.

Sigh.

I am a good 4 stones overweight. I am unhealthy and look crap. It Is Time - and, I love the upfront attitude on this thread.

No excuses. I just need to make the size of my ass a priority.

Got a Big Night with my husband's colleagues in November. And, at the risk of sounding like a simple-minded idiot - I want him to be proud of me. I've never met these people (because he usually keeps me in a box)

Youcanringmybell · 10/09/2012 08:43

Of course nanky - please come in and flex your willpower muscles...
You sound like you have also reached the point of no return. It is time to make a change......WELL DONE!!

We are all here to STOP THE BINGEING and to realise that stuffing our faces 24/7 is destructive and psychologically harmful.

We are here because we didn't know HOW TO STOP.

We are sucking up the awful hunger and cravings here...we are HARD Wink

nankypeevy · 10/09/2012 09:15

I did the 5:2 thing for a couple of weeks a couplaweeks back. Lost half a stone, mazeballs.

But, then one of my kids was poorly, and I just stuffed my face. And, here we are.

ANyhoo - the point was, I was surprised that a day of fasting was, well, ok. I din't faint. I felt hungry, had some water, and it went away...

more mazeballs.

so, today is a fast day. I'm going to try and fast M, W and not overinduldge on a F.

I am going to use fitness pal. I am going to take measurements. I am going to exercise three times a week adn shout at help my kids get ready in time to walk to school.

I am not going to eat the yorkie bar or percy pigs I have hidden away. I Am Not.

That way, next week, I can join in with the squeeing. Well done, am really impressed with you all!

cocoaGOLDchannel · 10/09/2012 09:54

Well down everyone! 2lbs off for me- quite pleased after a fairly indulgent weekend down at my parents'.

FedUpOfRain · 10/09/2012 10:07

Morning! Weighed in at 11st 2lb so a loss of 3lbs, i'm quite happy considering I started late.
Sounds like everyone is doing really well Grin I have just prepared a stir fry for lunch and will now go and walk (maybe jog!?!) the dogs. I will keep this up!!

dinkystinky · 10/09/2012 10:13

Hello all - can I join? I am officially a heifer - 73.5kg (when I should be 64kg) - and really need a kick up the backside to ensure I get rid of the excess weight. Joining a diet thread last year helped me get to goal - but then buggered my knee at the start of this year and have piled loads of weight on - and am REFUSING to buy new clothes so need to lose it now. My goal is to be back under 70kg by my birthday in November (hopefully nearer 68kg) and back to goal for Christmas.
