Youcanringmybell · 30/08/2012 16:08

This is a thread for those who are pig sick of over eating and binging and have decided enough is enough.

There will be no excuses on this thread...no 'oh but I was due my period' or 'oh but it was left over so I finished it' etc

IF you need to have a nice meal as part of a celebration DO IT but no more excuses - have the meal and move on.

This is a thread for the brave.....this is a thread for the serious. Join at your peril.....

Monday mornings are weigh in - so that we cannot binge on the weekends. I am deliberately being hard on myself and if you want to do it to please join. Even if someone wafts wine and banoffee pie under my nose I will not have it - even if the world is going to end I WILL NOT HAVE IT

weigh in Monday morning and post here

Oh and drink some wine and eat some choc while you still can because on Monday you will be in hell Angry

Fuckity! Do NOT give up!!!!!
You are doing this because it's ALL ABOUT YOU! It's so you can walk into any public place with your head held high knowing you look amazing. Squirt some fairy liquid onto the bastard cheesecake RIGHT NOW!

FuckityFuckFuck · 08/09/2012 19:34

I don't have any fruit :( He unplugged the freezer earlier so my grapes were covered in tuna juice, the strawberries have gone furry as well :(

Balls, I am going to have toast with jam. Not brilliant but hopefully that will satisfy my sweet tooth

FuckityFuckFuck · 08/09/2012 19:35

I am proper lolling at 'bastard cheesecake' :o

FermezLaBouche · 08/09/2012 19:52

And I am proper vomming at the fishy grapes! :(

Have you ever seen the Inbetweeners movie? When Neil pulls the vile, ancient woman and they're all woken up to her yelling "sook on me bastard tits!" Johnny Vegas style!? Anything I don't like at the mo is prefixed with "Bastard" in similar style.... it's the small things keeping me going!!!!

Jam on toast fine. I have no snacks but got a mate coming over to watch The Hunger Games. Have a sneaking suspicion he's bought me a crate of BASTARD lager for my birthday. Shit.

Tortoise · 08/09/2012 20:32

We didn't get around to walking the poor dogs. DD's were having fun in the garden then i had to cook tea. It gets dark so quickly now already. I hate it.
Chicken casserole was delish! Had a little bit of mash because DD2 didn't want any. A lot less than normal.
Also had a can of peach slices today.

My body must be shocked by the amount of fruit its had the last week! I was going weeks without even one piece of fruit. So unhealthy.

I did the shred about 2 years ago when i was about 4 stone lighter Sad. I did a full 60 days of it with the odd day off inbetween. I did losea good amount of inches but got really bored with it. Still have it but i know there is no way i would be strong enough to re-start doing it now. I need something more fun but on an easier level i think.

Tortoise · 08/09/2012 20:38

Just remembered seeing this on daybreak earlier in the year. Looked good fun, might get it now that i'm in the right frame of mind to actually do it!

Tschiffely · 09/09/2012 05:48

I'm awake at stupid o'clock craving fizzy drinks. I don't drink fizzy drinks. What's that all about! Confused

Goonatic · 09/09/2012 07:54

Well done fuckity!!! Great shouting ferm and goldidi
Went to very lovely posh party at a friend's house last night, there was so much food, all amazing and I ignored it all, even the puddings, except for a meringue (does that count?)
Had a few glasses of champagne but nothing like my usual consumption.
Am feeling v virtuous, and might have to Sellotape my fingers crossed for tomorrow, I want to have lost some weight!!!!!!!
fedup have you tried the tandori curry paste? You mix it with yoghurt, stick it on some chicken, putti in the oven for twenty mins and it is so, so tasty.
Or use curry powder and stick any old veg in with it, bit of turmeric, coriander and cumin - yum. I have that about once a week!

Tortoise · 09/09/2012 08:26

Morning.
Got woken up at 7am by a phone call from my next door neighbour. Her dh had noticed our rabbit hutch open last night and no rabbit in it just the guinea pig. He'd just spotted the rabbit on the lawn! So out I go playing hunt the rabbit! Found safe and returned to hutch!

Had a banana sandwich for breakfast.Smile Was sooo tempted to weigh myself this morning too but will hold off until tomorrow. I might cry if no loss!

Youcanringmybell · 09/09/2012 08:51

Oh that has happened to me loads - rabbit hutch open.We have fox round here killing rabbits at the moment so they are staying in their hutch longer more these days Sad

Don't weigh. You will have such a lovely surprise tomorrow. Smile

Tortoise · 09/09/2012 10:06

Hutch is quite a way off the floor. Must have jumped out, stupid bunny! Just lucky the front gate was shut or she might have ended up on the road!

I hope I get a nice surprise in the morning. I've got loads to lose so its going to take a while. Think I'm the fattest on the thread!

FuckityFuckFuck · 09/09/2012 10:11

Morning,

Thanks for the shouting. I had my toast and jam and then went to bed. Feel a lot better this morning :)

I'm going to a BASTARD food festival today, so I've planned quite a low fat dinner to allow for tasting all the lovely BASTARD food. Then we're watching the end of the first stage of the Tour of Britain, so hopefully all the lovely fit men will inspire me :) and the fat spectators in lycra will too

FermezLaBouche · 09/09/2012 10:46

Haha!! Love it! :) And the food festival sounds like my perfect day out. Try little bits of everything. (Unhelpful face - checks over shoulder in case youCan is about)
I've had a friend stay over last night and we're heading to Tesco to do our respective weekly shop. I will ONLY buy healthy, cheap items.

Goonatic my neighbour used to do the curry paste thing and it always smelled GORGEOUS so I will be picking some up today. Mmmm that with a nice salad.

I've also dug out my old Halogen oven, which I'm intending using a lot more.

FermezLaBouche · 09/09/2012 10:48

Oh and tortoise I think I hold that dismaying title. :(

Should I pick up some cheap scales from Tesco?

Youcanringmybell · 09/09/2012 10:59

fermez Yes if you can afford some scales please get some. It will inspire you to keep going and if you don't lose it will shame you into trying HARDER ;-)

Goodluck with the shopping. I bought 4x veg soup for £1 in there yesterday. Good for cals and fat and I will have them for lunches. Also, Iced gems for the sweet snack. I only have these if I am under 1000 cals for the day.

fuckity - FOOD FESTIVAL HUH???? Well it shall teach you everything in moderation and test your will power. I think you are ready for that step. Try some food and adjust meals accordingly like you planned.

AFTER ALL this is the weekend and I bet the BEST weekend any of you have had. Enjoy your Sunday and be realistically healthy (no bingeing) and TOMORROW after WEIGH IN we will UNLEASH REPLENISHED FURY AT OUR STILL BLOATED BODIES

OP posts:
Tortoise · 09/09/2012 11:00

Well done fuckity Enjoy the food festival.

fermez Yes pick up some scales if you can afford to. I know people say the important thing is how your clothes fit but I personally need to see the numbers go down! Plus I'm so fat it would take a while for clothes to feel looser I think.
Just remember we won't hold that title for much longer Smile

Tortoise · 09/09/2012 11:02

youcan I'm going to make soup later once tesco have delivered my shopping! Parsnip soup I think.

FuckityFuckFuck · 09/09/2012 11:14

Fermez I got mine in Tesco's, only cost about £4, just plain old fashioned scales, none of the digital preciseness of the more expensive ones.

If I over-indulge today to the point where even a low fat dinner can't help me, I will sit on the exercise bike while I do my paperwork tonight. I am NOT going back up a belt notch again, no way no how

xxxresixxx · 09/09/2012 13:45

Back from a camping weekend where the food was shockingly bad in terms of calories. The only fruit and veg in or group was the load of fruit I brought... Many sausages, eggy breads and wine. However I now feel very ill with the grease and sugar and both myself and husband are craving veg. On my own all well with DS so will be no food temptations..

FermezLaBouche · 09/09/2012 14:05

Did not manage to pick up any scales, annoyingly, but have done most of the week's shop for £20. Could not find that bloody tandoori paste anywhere! Was in Sainsburys and they had every type of paste in the world except for that one. Can anyone help me find some? I don't think there's a Waitrose up here.

I did manage to get a big chicken which will do two meals and sandwiches for work, and some lovely salmon fillets and lean lamb mince, so at least I can have some tasty evening meals this week. Soup or home made sandwich for lunch, cereal for Breakfast.

tortoise I am definintely really, really fat, but I reckon when you are, you notice the small differences quite quickly. I mentioned a couple up thread. But I shall get some scales ASAP. My mum is coming to visit (from 220 miles away) next week and I don't want her to see them as she'll realise I'm dieting and try to "help."

Oh and god bless my mate who stayed over last night - he brought a sodding crate of beer for a present!!! :(

Tortoise · 09/09/2012 15:22

fermez I haven't noticed any difference yet. Hope that doesn't mean I haven't lost any weight.

Didn't get around to soup. Had a special k red berries bar and an Apple. Wasn't very hungry anyway. Spaghetti and meatballs tonight. Not overly keen on pasta so I won't have much spaghetti.

Goonatic · 09/09/2012 16:27

Bugger ferm it is really hard to find, I found some in a random coop, I always buy two whenever I see them 'cause I know they are bastards to find, do you have any special Indian shops near you, my FIL gets it for me from there.
Look on my supermarket and see if it comes up on of the we sites, otherwise I shall have to invite you over!!

FermezLaBouche · 09/09/2012 16:41

Ha, ok then! :)
I have only lived here a month but I have a vague recollection there's an Indian shop literally about 100 yards from my house on the main street. There's definitely a Chinese one... I shall explore!

I am bizarrely looking forward to another week of sensible eating/no alcohol!

LetLoveRule · 09/09/2012 20:26

Hello all. Just been catching up on everyone's posts. Lo cal things I have enjoyed this week: sunflower ryvita, gherkins (Blush), Cadbury light mousse, veg & chick pea curry, burger and salad (no chips, but was so yum!). Anyone else got any favourites?
Went to the gym today for the first time and enjoyed it! No idea how the weigh in will go tomorrow, but overall I feel healthier so v pleased. Now going to enjoy closing ceremony (minus the obligatory vino and nibbles).

Goonatic · 09/09/2012 21:35

letloverule I have just had some gherkins chopped up in some cottage cheese!!!!! Also I have to add my exciting find; Leerdammer cheese slices! If you buy the light ones they have 50% less fat in than cheddar so are helping me say yes to cheese!!!!,
