Back to a school for me today! At least no pupils. Deffo back on the straight and narrow here DH and I were same as before holiday on Friday morning then ruined it all over the weekend.

Anyway I have made a lovely salad with duck for lunch so looking forward to that later as otherwise food is provided for us today which means nothing but carbs otherwise!

Am 0.8 kg UP this week - and i'd got down to below 59kg for the first time! Angry I was away this weekend, had a teacake on friday and a huge fruit salad with full english breakfast yesterday... am up for Bootcamp again now!

How do you make celeriac chips? Fried or baked?

BIWI · 03/09/2012 08:31

I have breast of lamb in the slow cooker for me, for tonight. DH and DS2 don't like it, so it will be all for me. Shame!

I'm restricting my caffeine/milk as well, for the next couple of weeks, and have had my one cup of coffee for the day. I have to get back into the habit of drinking water as well.

And I thought I'd have a go at the 'eating only when you're hungry' lark. I haven't had breakfast yet, but I'm going to take a hard-boiled egg with me to eat later in the morning, if I'm hungry.

Not sure what my lunch will be as I will be buying that on the way to work. But it will be some form of protein with salad.

And I'm definitely not weighing in until the end of this week at the very earliest.

Thegoddessblossom · 03/09/2012 08:47

Can heartily recommend IPD Shepherd's Pie for breakfast. Will probably have it for lunch too, with some broccoli.

I am going to up my water too, have been slack on that.

No wet beds this morning thank god.....I am so over getting a duvet washed and dried in a day....

EyesDoMoreThanSee · 03/09/2012 08:57

11.8 this morning, with AF due any day thats quite an impressive feat. I slept reasonably well last night but not for as long as I would have liked as DD not really very well and the GP surgery being a night mare to try and get her seen.

Massive panic when I thought I had lost my months food plan when laptop crashed - I had real tears in my eyes in panic! If people want to see it where can I share it?

halfthesize · 03/09/2012 09:12

Morning all

TooImmatureTurtleDoves well done re the jeansGrin

I had a shocking day yesterday, after no sleep for 2 nights with DS2. I ended up not having enough water, drinking 2 glasses of rose, eating a bit of banana bread and some liquorice Blush so needless to say I am 1lb up today, so bloody Angry at myself!!!

I will be super good today, though have woke up with no appetite at all! So coffee and water for me.

My DC are back to school on Wednesday and god am I ready for it, back to the gym finally Smile

Its grey and dull here today and I have the hospital later to have a lump(thats in a rather delicate place) looked at, oh the joys!!

BIWI · 03/09/2012 09:20

Eyes - make a Google Document with it, then anyone can see it.

That's what I've done with Bootcamp rules. I'm going to do a spreadsheet with the carb counter as well, when I get a chance later on.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 03/09/2012 10:13

B: 3 eggs scrambled with cream and smoked salmon. Mmm.

My goals for this week: eat fewer snacks and drink more water

Thegoddessblossom · 03/09/2012 10:26

good luck with lump Halfthesize.

PrincessSparkle86 · 03/09/2012 10:48

Morning all Smile

Ive weighed in on the spread sheet today!

B- a sausage
L- will be emmental lasagne!
D- will be some sort of salad!!

Re: the emmental lasagne... Whats the best way to keep it formed... Shiuld i add a cheese sauce?

vnmum · 03/09/2012 10:52

tooimmature well done on the jeans!
half good luck today, i have a condition where i get lumps/acesses in delicate places and it is said to be hormone related which is probably right as they always come up just before a period. Anyway, that is another thing healthwise that has improved on the WOE as i hardly get any now and those i do are not as bad. With all that in mind i don't know how anyone can say this woe isn't healthy.

Now, regarding weigh in, seen as i am doing the fasting diet experiment, i don't know wether to use today's weight after a feed day yesterday or tomorrows weight after my last fast day of the week. I'm not sure which would be more realistic because doing normal low carb i would have eaten the day before weigh in but the fasting diet book says to weigh only after a fast day, presumably when you are empty of food.

What do you guys think?

With regards the experiment, the fasts are getting easier and the day after the fasts i am not that hungry. I don't know if that is good or not because if i am not hungry on the feed days i may not eat enough calories to keep my metabolism ticking over. I guess doing it while eating carbs would probably mean you ate enough on the feed days because of how carbs make you hungry every few hours. At the moment i am trying to eat lots of fat on my feed days to ensure enough calories.

vnmum · 03/09/2012 10:55

princess i am still working on that. I made it again last night and just put it under the grill until the cheese melted on top but the emmental still melted inside. Maybe it is because i use a cheese sauce, i know jins doesn't and has had success with it. I might try it that way next time or try the leek sheets instead.

PrincessSparkle86 · 03/09/2012 11:05

Thanks vnmum im starting it now so ill just try without the cheese sauce this time... Think im going to have it with a bit of green salad too Smile

teaandthorazine · 03/09/2012 11:29

Hello all! Am back from long w'end in Carlisle/Glasgow. Was great, really enjoyed it, ate and drank loads, almost all of it terrible, was great Wink. Am now back with a vengeance, 4lbs heavier (though is also TOTM so not too panicky. Going to have a bit of a fast day today and just eat some fish and veg tonight. Plenty of water though - have definitely been dehydrated all weekend!

Right, am off to read rest of thread now!

teaandthorazine · 03/09/2012 11:53

Would also be up for joining lbd thread in October, though am going to carry on general low carbing for next month and see if I can shift these 4lbs and then maybe even get down into the 9s! That will be pretty astonishing tbh, but then again I thought getting into the 10th range was amazing so who knows? It is difficult to know when to stop, does anyone find that? 10st is great for me and I'm happy here but there's a bit of me that thinks, try and get a bit lower...

Given that I refuse to do any exercise I don't know how realistic lower ghan 10th is though Grin

teaandthorazine · 03/09/2012 11:56

Oh fgs iPhone. 'How realistic lower than 10st is' I meant.

I did enjoy my weekend off but it's funny how much I look forward to getting back to low carb. The one thing I've learnt is that puddings are almost NEVER as good as you think they're going to be. Am almost always disappointed with them these days.

AuntieMaggie · 03/09/2012 12:07

Thats what I thought biwi though I guess the onion rings are out too?

sharon I started a separate thread about food preferences for courses and was told I was being too fussy... never mind that this woe has completely sorted my blood sugar problems!

I am really pleased as I didn't eat till 11 - first time i've done that and my blood sugar has been fine and this morning i was 103.5 kilos:o which I realise is really heavy compared to most of you but I'm chuffed.

I am struggling not eating fruit though - not because I've got sweet cravings as I'm finding other things too sweet but because I really like fruit!

NigellasGuest · 03/09/2012 14:00

Tea loads of the stuff you post completely resonates with me!
for example I'm 10 stone and resolutely refusing to exercise. I seem to be gradually dropping weight over time by purely keeping to this WOE.
I would like to get to 9 and a half stone, so I'm wondering whether to speed things up I should start the old Shred again. trouble is, I find exercise incredibly boring, and i feel it's not that good for avoiding the haggardy look on the face [if anyone knows what on earth I'm burbling about)

NigellasGuest · 03/09/2012 14:01

disclaimer: for me, that is. I don't mean to suggest you lovely exercising ladies look like hags!!! Blush

BIWI · 03/09/2012 14:07
Grin
Thegoddessblossom · 03/09/2012 14:08

this hag went to the gym this morning - Grin - had a good workout, 40 mins cardio and some weights and situps. 2 weeks break doesn't seem to have affected my fitness too much.

BIWI · 03/09/2012 14:08

Would this be the same NigellasGuest who was, not that long ago, moaning about nothing working for her in her quest to lose weight?!

Thegoddessblossom · 03/09/2012 14:19

IPD Shepherds pie for the 3rd meal in a row with broccoli. Still delish.

NigellasGuest · 03/09/2012 14:27

haha! I have now seen the bigger picture. Which is, I seem to go (weight-wise): UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN. Rinse and repeat.
