Well done angels !! I totally agree with the scales been off as i exercise loads and should be loosing weight at a quicker rate i'm loosing plenty of inches and have made 2 new holes in my belt so i don't get it.
I'm wondering if we should go by clothes size as i don't really look fat but am heavy so i can stand next to someone else of the same weight/ height etc who doesn't exercise and look a lot smaller as i have a lot of muscle ??
When i joined the leader said a lb of muscle is the same as a lb of fat so i should still loose weight .

It's the bmi that started me off as i looked at a poster at the gym and realised mine was higher than it should be (bloody thing).

a lb of anything weighs the same -even feathers lol- just be a hell of lot of feathers

my jeans seem baggier so i must be toning but scales are not really being nice to me :( but i shall take the over all monthly amount, as think sometimes get too fixed on sts gaining a lb losing a lb - where over the month may be say a loss of 4 lbs iyswim

i did measure, so will again in 1.5 weeks when done sw for a month

jeansforever · 11/04/2012 11:09

What i don't get is how do you loose the inches without the weight ? like carer says she too is loosing inches but not weighing less that's what i don't understand.

I'm feelin very disheartened tday Sad friend from work has lost 4lb every week for last 6 weeks, granted she's bigger than me- but she eats way way more than me - just a bit fed up x

jeansforever · 11/04/2012 20:53

Don't feel bad angels you have lost half a stone , that's brilliant !!
If she has a lot to loose she will loose lots at first then it will slow down, my sister has 5 stone to loose and lost 2 stone in 8 weeks but now she has 3 left and is loosing 2 to 3 lbs a week .
You don't have much to loose so it will come off slower but i bet you can tell a big difference after just 7 lbs , i know i could.
Please remind me of this fact when i'm crying tomorrow as i've been so bad this week .Lol

Haha well my 3 dds have just got more from our elderly neighbour!!! Ahhhhhh lol. Time to dig out the 'willpower' Blush

BubbleBobble · 14/04/2012 13:25

I honestly don't care what the scales say, it's how I look and feel in my clothes that matters. I weigh at home and at class but I'm officially going by the class scales. I weigh 3lb heavier on them, but I weigh naked at home and in the morning, and um, definitely clothed at class in the evening.

Saying '1lb' is a pathetic amount to lose isn't exactly helpful either. It's a healthy, maintainable amount. I'd be thrilled to lose 1lb every week - it's 3.5lb stone in a year and that time is going to pass by no matter what, so I may as well stay on the SW wagon and see how far it gets me.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/04/2012 13:32

guess i feel cheated that i only lose a lb as apart from eating one choc easter egg, i followed sw to the letter so 2lbs would be nicer

lost lb yesterday, so 4lbs in 3weeks- will measure next week when been 4 weeks but sure i must have lost cms as waist is def looser on jeans

03angels · 14/04/2012 16:25

Well done blondes Smile
I don't think anyone has said 1lb is pathetic - it all adds up BUT it can be disheartening at times when u have felt like u should have lost more! As long as I'm losing I'm happy Smile

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/04/2012 17:52

i said it was pathetic -coz i was pissed off- i expected to lose 2/3/4/5 lbs as been very good and just started sw

03angels · 14/04/2012 21:29

Aw blondes that was outta frustration I know u didn't mean 1lb loss is pathetic! We just need to keep lookin at the positivesGrin

BubbleBobble · 14/04/2012 23:21

Yep, thinking that you should have done better is ok, but beating yourself over a 'small' loss - that way, madness lies. A loss is a loss! It all adds up eventually. Chin up lovely, you'll get there.

I admit, I'd love to be able to lose 5 pounds or more a week, like some at my class are able to - but the ones who do are all bigger than me and I fully expect them to get to my point of having around 3 stone to lose and for the losses to slow down. Comparing yourself to others just gets you nowhere and makes you feel bad for no reason.

03angels · 15/04/2012 00:09

Totally agree bobble- so feel free to give me a shake when I have a whinge! Smile make sure u keep us updated on how ya gettin on Smile

BubbleBobble · 15/04/2012 09:46

I will make everyone shake their bums, good body magic, innit. Grin

I weigh in tomorrow evening and I weigh 3lb heavier on class scales, but my home ones showed a loss this morning, so I'm happy, woohoo!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/04/2012 09:58

its just as im at the start of sw so my body should think wow and lose a few lbs each week - but hey ho will get there slowly - i hope .................

off on hols in 2 weeks and knowing e i will end up putting on what ive lost so be really pissed off

BubbleBobble · 15/04/2012 10:02

Aye, but just think, if you don't out the effort in now before your holiday, you'll gain even more. So what if you have a gain while you're n holiday? Enjoy yourself! Do your best immediately before and after the holiday and I bet you won't gain as much as you think and it WILL come off again.

03angels · 17/04/2012 20:16

Hey ladies 2lb off this week on sw scales. That will do me Grin

jeansforever · 17/04/2012 20:27

Well done angels!!
