Angels officially it's 7 lbs but as i weigh more at sw , on my scales it's 11 but i am naked when i weigh in at home so maybe there's the difference .
I've been going 3 weeks after my first weigh in but i've had a chest infection last week so didn't eat much at all , just rubbish and water lol.
I had 1 1/2 stone to loose so now by sw scales i have 1 stone to go.
Blondes - on my first and second week i was 2lbs then this week a 3lb , i was upset on my first week as everyone else had lost lots more but when i looked around the room they are all quite a bit bigger so have more to loose so i think that's the difference . Now i'm more than happy with my 2lbs as at least it's going in the right direction!
My sister had 5 stone to loose and lost 2 stone in 2 months but now it's slowed down and i think as she get's closer to her target it will get more difficult .
A funny thing happened at my weigh in the woman in front wasn't happy with loosing 1lb so she took her belt off and that belt was 1/2 lb ! so next week i'm wearing a light dress lol.

lol jeans-they do say to weigh in same clothes each week

as i do at home, i weigh on a friday in my tracksuit as then go to the gym

my friend weighs herself naked - tbh i dont see the point as she is only cheating herself 2/3lbs worth of clothes lol

Good luck angels , fingers crossed for you.
I weigh myself in a morning just before i go in the shower so that's why i'm naked, but i'm lucky as my weigh in is a early morning one at sw too so at least it's over and done with lol.

1 1/2lb off Smile I'm happy with that after being naughty all week!! May need some help from you all this week to stay on trick but it's a SW half stone award (11 1/2 on my scales) x

Well done angels!! ( i do seriously wonder about the scales though, far too many people have said the same)
I've had a sickness bug this week so god only knows what i've lost ,that's if i manage to get there we have quite bad snow today!! hopefully it will have gone by tomorrow.
What are you going to do about your target weight angels? your home scales are showing roughly the same difference to sw as mine , if i got to my target at sw i'm thinking i wouldn't look that good as 5lbs is a big difference if you see what i mean.

Hi everybody, I started slimming world on Monday, I'm doing it from home and I'm finding it a bit confusing. I need to lose 5 stone.

I'm doing exclusively green days, so am I right in thinking I can choose 2 of each healthy extra? E.g could I have brown bread AND alpen lights? Sorry, just a bit muddled.

Thanks! Grin

Hi Mimi , i'm doing extra easy but looked in my book and it does say you can have 2 of each healthy extras on green days so yeah that sounds right i'd think.

My husband and I have been going to slimming world for about 9 months, well, he goes, and we both follow the plan. He has lost about 4 stone, and I have lost nothing. Sad I don't know if it makes a difference, but he was naturally very skinny years ago. I think the only reason he put on weight was that he enjoys beer or wine at the weekends, and I think he lost the weight by cutting down a lot on alcohol. I hardly drink, so that can't be my problem.

I wasn't ever skinny, but I was a healthy size 10/12 before having children, although I thought then that I was fat! I put on weight with each pregnancy, and never managed to lose any, although I did try, and then put on about two stone with medication for migraines. I can't lose it at all, no matter what I do.

Do u eat regularly??? I didn't before SW now eating 3 meals a day even of just an apple md fruit. Hope this helps Smile

well i just weighed in and ive stayed the same. 2 weeks ago i gained a pound for no reason so i increased my speed food and last week lost 2 and a half and yet this week ive stayed the fuckin same after eating fucking grapefruits every day (which are not the easiest things to eat. So much for fucking speed food. What i cant understand is why my clothes are looser then. Im getting very suspicious. When i went to sw the first time i could not hit my target no matter what i did. Iwas always 2 to 3 pounds short. I remember back then my dh eating a portion of chips and trying to get me to eat one chip and i wouldnt.I was pretty close to an eating disorder. I cannot continue to be weighed once a week. Its not doing me any favours psychologically. So i will give my surgery a ring and ask the weight management nurse to weigh me. Her weigh ins are once a month. Im happy to stick to the plan as long as i can see that it is working.

A woman tonight has lost 5 pounds last week and 5 pounds this week. Its taken me five weeks to lose 7 pounds FFS. The first time i went i lost a stone a month for seven months and it took a year to lose the next 3. But i got gallstones and have never known so much pain. My consultant told me at the time that rapid weight loss is a contributor to gall bladder disease.

Carer don't give up , do you have scales at home ?as i weigh myself as well and know i'm heading in the right direction.
Are you exercising ? maybe you are loosing inches and will have a bigger loss next week.
How are your portion sizes , at my class the leader is always encouraging people to stuff their faces but i think you have to watch the portions .
Are you drinking plenty of water ?
A few people in class do extra easy but also change back to red and green days perhaps you could try doing it the way you used to as it did work for you.
7 lbs is a lot , it's just taken you a bit longer than you wanted but you have done well and are heading in the right direction!!

Thanks jeans. Didnt mean to be so negative. It just pisses me off when ive been really trying. No chocolate since Valentines either and ive already pre warned family not to get me any for Easter. i havent excersised much over the last few days apart from today which was a half hour walk into town then a three quarter of an hour walk to class and the same distance back so i will make sure i do more excersise this week.

Primrose i know how you feel. We have a guy in our class who has lost a LOT and he made a flippant comment on the fb page last week saying that men dont find it any easier to lose weight than women. I disagreed and used my DH as an example who has pie sausage and chips from the chippy 3 times a month and 2 wagon wheels a day and has lost 11 pounds. The bloke got a bit stroppy with me on fb cos he didnt like being proved wrong.
And whem my brother stopped drinking for 2 months just cutting out alcohol (nothing else) he lost 2 stone so i took great exception to what this SW member was saying on facebook.

I know it seems daft but it works best for me when i don't follow it to the letter , i just eat smaller portions and snack on fruit and drink loads of water.
I usually feel negative about the class though !
Are you doing extra easy ? i'm asking because the girl i go with used to go back in the day of red and green days and this works for her and ee doesn't as she can't get her portions right.

Im doing Green but i have been eating a lot of grapefruit cos its a speed food. I cant get on with EE either. when i first went it was only red and green too. I also have strawberries with my Weetabix (two weetabix =1 healthy extra and milk is measured. and i eat apples. Cant eat bananas as they give me back stomach and chest pains. A lot of foods give me this reaction unfortunately.

Carer don't give up - 7lbs is great sometimes it takes a lil longer to start losing then it catches up - I only go to weigh ins- I go with my DP and MIL and went to group the first week now we make our excuses as I can't beat to hear about how much other people have lost/gained I think some of them only go to gloatSad I'm doing this for me as I'm sure you ladies are so following the plan and asking nurse to weigh you could be your best option carer!! You will probably have more accurate losses too as we all know SW scales are NOT right I think there at least 2lb out- all 3 of us used diff scales my mil used diff scales to us and she was showing 5lb just before WI - low and behold SW scales shows 3lb Angry as long as its in the right direction. Could you try doing a diff option of the plan carer?? Good luck ladies Grin

I know what your am about certain foods carer as Iv got a gut and bowel disorder- unfortunately I have to use an irrigation machine as well as a cocktail of meds including morphine which slows the digestive system down- as well as 2 other chronic ilnesses all made worse my stress and extra weight Sad so I'm doing it so I'm better long term plus I have teenage girls and don't want them getting ribbed for having a big mum - I'm only 5ft (4"11 really but hey hehe) and ANY extra weights makes me look SOOOO much bigger so I only want to lose 2 -2 1/2 I know it doesn't sound much especially to those ladies that are bigger but to me it's going to make a world of diff to my health - it's also gunna be an upshill battle but I'm ready for it Smile

Well i've lost 2 1/2 lbs this week , what were you just saying about the scales angels ? haha it's right as i weighed myself on mine just before i left so same clothes and it said i'd lost 5lbs which i think are more accurate as my clothes are hanging off me this week due to being sick for days!
Still it's heading the right way and once i get to target on my scales i don't really care if i ever do at sw , although it would be intresting to see if i ever do due to carers experience lol.

Ive made an appointment with the weight nurse for 18th April so im gonna keep pressing on with the plan but im not going into class to be weighed next week. the nurse can weigh me the following week. i will also be showing the nurse my weight loss record so far and my food diaries so we shall see.
There is a woman in my class about my height (5 "5 ) and doesnt look any more than 9 stone but is still struggling to lose weight because she doesnt like her tummy. (seriously there is nothing there she looks great and i told her so)i think these classes can be an extemely toxic environment.
