smokinaces · 05/02/2011 16:56

smokinaces · 05/02/2011 17:07

Am hungry and fancy my soup, but trying to put it off until later just before I go out so I pick less. Had a low fat yogurt to ward it off.

anyone else got any exiciting soup recipes? trying to decide what to make first.......

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2011 11:19

'sit on bench of total shame'

i was so bad yesterday - started off well, went to the gym and then met friends for lunch at tgi's

been trying to work out the pp i had and have def eaten all my weekies and prob next weeks one as well Grinso gave up in the end

3 cocktails later, then food, shared starters and had chicken strips (14) and mozzarella dippers (34 for 6) Shock between 4 of us so maybe starter was 12 for mozz as had 2 and 3 for chicken so 15

had spicy diablo pasta, basically pasta in tom sauce and chilli with brocolli and red pepper and green beans

didnt have pudding

then went to bar and had wine spriztler

off to a cocktail bar and had 3 more cocktails

then off to another pub and 2 wine spritzlers

and train home

i think i had better write off yesterday and i wont moan if i sts or gain on friday as deserve it

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/02/2011 11:42

dh has just informed me (and i do rem now) that when i got home i made myself 2 fried eggs on toast and had a choccy bar as well as 2 stale jaffa cakes Blush so thats another 16pp i ate

'puts on hare coat and sits on bench of shame'

i dont have a hangover :) but my balls do ache on my feet :(, were numbed by Wine last night and now ache Grin

GettinTrimmer · 06/02/2011 20:24

Blondes!! Grin What were you doing to the balls of your feet? Confused

Soup/ryvitas/normal stuff for the rest of the week, you may be surprised and still lose weight.

We went for eat as much as you like Indian today, I was restrained(ish). Saw the local MP there with all his crew, all in their suits and ties. Bet it's on expenses!

I have just seen a picture of myself taken at Christmas, I need to focus Sad. First target is to get back to my pre-christmas weight, it's only 2lb, next target is the next 8lb put on since the beginning of school summer holidays until xmas, next 9lb is to goal.

Murtette · 06/02/2011 20:24

Blondes - it sounds as though you had a brilliant night out! I love cocktails. Well done on hitting the 2st off mark, that's such an achievement.

Gettin - yes, please do post the recipe. I've also got a BNS in the fridge. I made Blondes' parsnip and apple soup yesterday. I loved the contrast of the creamy parsnip and the sharp apple (I used Bramleys).

Bebe - how annoying about your hip. Lots of sympathy

Smokin - how are you feeling? I'm impressed at how disciplined you are when you're out.

Piste - are you feeling any more motivated.

I'd better have a loss tomorrow after having a good week but I ate a lot today and had wine last night and at lunchtime so may not. I did have 2 roasties at lunch time but had a massive mound of free veg. Bar 2 pringles, managed to avoid the crisps and dips and stuck to crudites. I didn't do Bebe's terrine in the end as I decided I need to practice that before trying it on other people so did meringue topped fruit pos (stew some fruit and put it in a ramekin and then put a dollop of meringue mixture on the top and blast it in the oven for 5 mins. You can put amaretti or other biscuits in the bottom for a bit of crunch but that adds calories without adding much taste or texture IMO)

GettinTrimmer · 06/02/2011 20:25

I can't find my Anna Richardson diet book atm, she has some lovely soup recipes in it, but when I do will post butternut and coconut soup.

smokinaces · 06/02/2011 20:30

Hi Murtette - feeling snotty, but not as bad as I was. Confess to giving into a few handfuls of crisps last night of the chipsticks variety, but nothing too sinister and stuck to diet coke.

Had 3 weetabix, soup, and a seafood salad today, along with a yogurt and couple of satsumas. Thinking probably sts tomorrow, maybe 1lb down but will see in the morning.

But, I can now get in a size 12 jeans! Grin They would only work with a long top at the moment, but my aim is to be in them comfortably in a fortnight. Am so super chuffed, havent been in a size 12 since 2005 so all the exercise is definately paying off.

Blondes, am super jealous of your fabby night out!!!

Murtette · 07/02/2011 08:48

Finally, a lb off. I still feel as though I deserve more as my waist and boobs have definitely shrunk in the last couple of weeks but it is soooo good to see the scales move.

Smokin - excellent news on the size 12! What a result. Glad you're beginning to feel better

I'm off to find the list and then I'll update it

Cross posted Blondes. Good job dh didn't have a meaty one Grin

The funny thing is, I must have had about too many points to contemplate last week but still lost weight. No time to exercise today, lady from the PTA coming round this afternoon to discuss attracting new members (I do get myself stitched up Grin.....).

Right, Bns and coconut soup:

Mild ooking oil spray
1 medium onion, peeled and roughly chopped
2 garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped
1tsp ground cumin
1tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp hot chilli powder
1 medium-large butternut squash (about 900g)
1 litre cold water
1 veggie or chicken stock cube (I use marigold granules)
400ml can reduced fat coconut milk

  1. mist a large saucepan witht he cooking oil and place over a low heat. Add the onion, garlic and spices. Cook gently for 8-10 minutes

2.peel the bns and chop into 2cm chunts. pour the water into the pan with the onion and add the stock cube and bns.

  1. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat slightly and simmer for a further 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until the squash is soft. Remove th pan from the heat and add the coconut milk. Blitz with a stick blender until smooth. (Purree the soup in a blender or food processor if you don't have a stick blender.)
  1. Return to the hob and warm through gently without boiling, stirring and adding a little more water if the soup seems too thick. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh coriander if you have some handy.
Blondeshavemorefun · 07/02/2011 12:03

trimmer soup sounds yummy but i begrudge losing pp on coconut milk so shall stick to my 0 pp bns soup

Blondes. Wow. All I can say Wink

Murtette, well done on the 1lb down!

I lost 2lb last week Grin Cant quite believe it, and have tasked myself to do 3.5lb this week by not eating crap and exercising more. Am really feeling the benefits of coming off the pill, the weight is proving easier so far to lose. Am mega chuffed, just 1lb off 2 stone and 1st 8lb to target.

Blondes, my friend wrote this on my FB:

hi girls i stared pro points on thursday but had an evening booked at a chinese buffet last night! saved myself all day for the big dinner and it was great but because im doing it online i dont have an eating out guide and cant find anything on the online tracker... so posting roughly what i ate & drank to see if someone here would be able to point it for me... i had loads of points avaliable but dont want to mess up by not pointing correctly and not using the weekly extra points right..

3 table spoons of rice
2 table spoons of seaweed
1 table spoon of kungpo beef
1 tablespoon of garlic mushrooms
1 table spoon crispy duck meat
1 table spoon of crispy chilli beef
1 table spoon of celery in garlic

4 x whitewine & lemonade spritzers
1 x sml glass of full fat coke (4 am thirst after drinking... made me not fussy what i had! lol)

Can you total it on WW for her do you think? I dont have a foggiest!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/02/2011 21:57

Well will be less than my 115pp lol

Wine 4 plus 2 lemonade so 6 per drink = 24

Another 2 for ff coke so least 28on booz/drinks . If wine was large then will be more

If she honestly only had a spoonful of each then I would count the meat dishes as 3/4pp per tabkespoon

And even though mushrooms/celery is free - sure would have been cooked in oil so prob 2 each

Rice 6 as would have been fried

Same with seaweed

I would say 50ish to cover

smokinaces · 07/02/2011 22:13

brilliant, thanks Blondes Grin
