2011 Paul Mckenna

Deafworm · 01/01/2011 11:16

Hi all

I wondered if anyone else was planning to follow Paul mckenna this year and lose their weight?

im currently 16st13 and intend to end the year a fit toned 10st. im a bit hit and miss with following the golden rules but when i do i have seen results so from today i will follow it and get the results i want.

as well as the weight loss with paul mckenna i intend to

Beardo the just dance 2 fitness thing every day till my husband (RAF) flies out to the middle east around april

Bear do the couch to 5k plan and run race for life this year

Bearstart the 30 day shred when dh goes away and repeat it till he comes home (approx 4 months)

I also have one of those magic leg trainers coming on home approval so will have a play with that and see if its worth keping, apart from that i will reassess my fitness in august when he gets home and come to some decisions on how to go forward with that then but for now these seem like reasonable goals, especially when they're on top of really following the golden rules.

so anyone else following 'the rules' this year and going to join me with their aims?

the book for anyone curious about it, though i got mine from my local works type bookshop for less than £5 thats less than one weeks ww/sw/etc subs to try it out and its honestly the most sensible weightloss plan ive ever looked at

I here!! And I have tickets!!!!! I am SO pleased, DH is clearing his day to look after the kids. Theres not anyone that I want to take with me, so if anyone wants one that doesnt have one and wants to meet up that would be brilliant. even more better if anyone lives en-route from dorset to Hamersmith and wants to share the journey...something like that?

ktwiltshire · 13/01/2011 15:03

^ all you need to do is to reply with your real name and it will be put on the guest list, turn up at the box office and collect tickets.

NicknameTaken · 13/01/2011 15:11

I'm here and touting hopefully for a ticket! Although York is not between Dorset and London, I do admit.

I said earlier that Howto can break the journey at my place, if that helps her make it - offer still applies, even if I got a ticket elsewhere....

ppeatfruit · 13/01/2011 15:14

Yes it's fine thanks Deafworm the sad thing is that i won't be in england then (we live between london and France) I'd also feel a bit of a fraud so if there's anyone who REALLY wants them...?

ktwiltshire · 13/01/2011 15:16

Going to see if theres anyone who lives more directly, but if there isnt anyone who can help out your welcome to it, I will let you know.

put a facebook status up as i used to live only an hours train away from london, there might be someone i know who wants to go whos house i can park up and get on the train with...will see. Just SOO happy!!!

NicknameTaken · 13/01/2011 15:19

Yes, no problem.

NicknameTaken · 13/01/2011 15:21

Ppeat?

ppeatfruit · 13/01/2011 15:23

Nickname??

NicknameTaken · 13/01/2011 15:31

If you really do want to give away a ticket, I'm here!

NicknameTaken · 13/01/2011 16:25

Ah, now I'm embarrassed at my blatant soliciting. Maybe you'll find a way of going yourself or have friends who'd like to go. I'll slink away and comfort eat

Deafworm · 13/01/2011 16:29

sorry pp it seemed like a good idea at the time, shame you cant make it,

hows everyones day going? doing quite well today i think except for the lack of exercise, getting seriously fed up of sitting around doing nothing. still sooo pleased about the tickets, wasnt certain for a while if i could go as i messed up my dates but i can, waiting to hear if my friend wants to come with me. :o

Nickname, thanks for your very kind offer! I think I have something sorted with a friend though. Hope someone can share a ticket with you x

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 13/01/2011 16:52

I over ate quite a bit :( Ate crisps & a cake when I really wasnt hungry - argh!!! I think I really need the book to read up on the self -sbaotage. DW - are you able to share a breif synposis of what he says for it? Or any tips he gives?

NicknameTaken · 13/01/2011 16:58

That's fine, HowTo. Please tell us all it goes!

ppeatfruit · 13/01/2011 17:03

Well I have offered them to my DD she hasn't got back to me yet so give it till tomorrow and then of course Nick! Deaf if you just do stand ups it helps.

NicknameTaken · 13/01/2011 17:05

Thanks, ppeat! Will be offline for the evening but will check back here tomorrow.

Deafworm · 13/01/2011 17:07

erm the basic premise from what i remember is that we self sabotage because either we dont trust it to work, or because we are protecting ourselves from something, eg i worked out with me having had pe twice and a fairly traumatic first delivery i was self sabotaging so that i had an excuse to not get pregnant. after that its about bringing the things together so in my case losing the weight brings pregnancy risks down a long way too therefore no need to be protecting myself that way. does that make sense?

OP posts:
ppeatfruit · 13/01/2011 17:11

I don't know what P.M. says Glad but I just put all temptations away in fridge or cupboards (or don't buy them!)Bit tricky with the choc truffles DH gave for my B/day!!!!

Deafworm · 13/01/2011 17:12

i can barely get up today pp, really sore, hoping it will have improved a little tomorrow

OP posts:
ppeatfruit · 13/01/2011 17:14

I'm making him eat them and he needs P.M. much more than me!!

ktwiltshire · 13/01/2011 18:41

todays going well, just dinner to get through and remember to consciously eat and today will be a good one!

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 13/01/2011 18:48

Thanks Deafworm, that does make sense. Ive thought for awhile that I am protecting myself from soemthing, I just dont what it is! Will have a good long think about that.

I am going to tge seminar! Im going by train to a friends house, and she is driving us (about an hour away) in exchange for a ticket Grin

missmakesstuff · 13/01/2011 18:57

I am so excited, I really never wiin anything! I am in kent, so not too bad, trains are ridiculous prices but it'll be ok, just have to make sure DH isn't busy so he can have DD for the day!

Don't know who to take though, all my friends are skinny...I'm the fat one!

I may offer the other one on here if no one in RL wants it..but scared of going on my own...I did suggest a Pombear badge on the other thread, so we can all recognise each other, I am an art teacher, so qualified to give a blue peter style tutorial on how to make one!

This has come at a great time, we are off to Rome the following monday, its half term, and I am now starting to stuggle a little but with listening to the CD - it's getting boring, and I keep falling asleep in the first few mins, and waking up when it's finished.

Does anyone know how far hammersmith tube is from the venue?
