Hi all

I wondered if anyone else was planning to follow Paul mckenna this year and lose their weight?

im currently 16st13 and intend to end the year a fit toned 10st. im a bit hit and miss with following the golden rules but when i do i have seen results so from today i will follow it and get the results i want.

as well as the weight loss with paul mckenna i intend to

Beardo the just dance 2 fitness thing every day till my husband (RAF) flies out to the middle east around april

Bear do the couch to 5k plan and run race for life this year

Bearstart the 30 day shred when dh goes away and repeat it till he comes home (approx 4 months)

I also have one of those magic leg trainers coming on home approval so will have a play with that and see if its worth keping, apart from that i will reassess my fitness in august when he gets home and come to some decisions on how to go forward with that then but for now these seem like reasonable goals, especially when they're on top of really following the golden rules.

so anyone else following 'the rules' this year and going to join me with their aims?

the book for anyone curious about it, though i got mine from my local works type bookshop for less than £5 thats less than one weeks ww/sw/etc subs to try it out and its honestly the most sensible weightloss plan ive ever looked at

fatpantsandgladrags · 13/01/2011 11:53

I found you! Thanks for the tip howto Smile

I got tickets too but don't know if I'm brave enough to turn up on my own (I'm in west midlands). All my friends are thin Envy so wouldn't be interested!

If I can't talk myself into it, I will ask MNHQ to put them back in the hat for someone else.

Deafworm · 13/01/2011 11:58

there were a few people on the thread who would have like to go with someone off here who won maybe open it up like that?

anyway by mid feb we will all be old friends on here :o only started the thread on the 1st and feel like ive been chatting to this lot for ages, you cant miss out, we can do the whole i will be the one looking harrassed but relieved to be child free holding a red rose thing!

Yep, KT and MissMakes are on the list too! Now Im on a downer though because DH doesnt think we can afford for me to travel down :( Im gutted!

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 13/01/2011 11:59

fatpants, Id gladly go in with you, if I can scrape the money toegther to get in.

fatpantsandgladrags · 13/01/2011 11:59

where are you howto?

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 13/01/2011 12:07

North East Scotland! It would involve rail travel plus probably a hotel stay, and its just abit out of our budget :(

NicknameTaken · 13/01/2011 12:17

Gutted I missed the tickets, but it would be worse to win a ticket and not be able to go! Have you liked at train tickets, howto? If you went on the earliest train and came back on the latest one, even if you missed a bit of the seminar, perhaps it's doable?

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 13/01/2011 12:18

Im looking at every possible option right now Grin I think this would help me so much, I am detrmined to get there somehow.

Deafworm · 13/01/2011 12:21

sorry how to i wont be at home or you could break the journey at mine, is there anyone who wanted to go who would be willing to put you up in exchange for a ticket?

OP posts:
fatpantsandgladrags · 13/01/2011 12:28

you couldn't get much further away howto! I hope there's someone down london way who could put you up. I could offer you a sofa in Birmingham but that's possibly not particularly helpful!

ppeatfruit · 13/01/2011 12:48

I've got a personal message from Mumsnet and i tried to log in for some reason it won't do it!Is that the list of ticketwinners? i had a lovely meal thank you Deafworm.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 13/01/2011 12:49

PP you are on the list, so yes :) Might see you there!

NicknameTaken · 13/01/2011 12:56

If it's any good, I'd happily provide a bed for the night in exchange for a ticket! I'm in York, and it's possible to get the 6am train from York, arriving 08.04am (loads of time to get to venue for 10am start) and leave London at 6pm the same day, all for £40. Of course, you'd have to get from your home place to York, so maybe it's not a huge bargain, but think about it....

Deafworm · 13/01/2011 12:57

yes pp it is, the list is also on the webchat
