Hi all

I wondered if anyone else was planning to follow Paul mckenna this year and lose their weight?

im currently 16st13 and intend to end the year a fit toned 10st. im a bit hit and miss with following the golden rules but when i do i have seen results so from today i will follow it and get the results i want.

as well as the weight loss with paul mckenna i intend to

Beardo the just dance 2 fitness thing every day till my husband (RAF) flies out to the middle east around april

Bear do the couch to 5k plan and run race for life this year

Bearstart the 30 day shred when dh goes away and repeat it till he comes home (approx 4 months)

I also have one of those magic leg trainers coming on home approval so will have a play with that and see if its worth keping, apart from that i will reassess my fitness in august when he gets home and come to some decisions on how to go forward with that then but for now these seem like reasonable goals, especially when they're on top of really following the golden rules.

so anyone else following 'the rules' this year and going to join me with their aims?

the book for anyone curious about it, though i got mine from my local works type bookshop for less than £5 thats less than one weeks ww/sw/etc subs to try it out and its honestly the most sensible weightloss plan ive ever looked at

I am finding today very hard. Have just nibbled my way through a pile of crap while feeding the kids and their friends tea. It will be my supper. I am sooooo angry with myself. But the beauty of this is I can start again now, rather than writing off the whole day and eating chocolate til I'm sick as I probably would on a diet.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 17/01/2011 18:22

Ok, I do know why i had a crap weekend, I didnt listen to the CD at all! :(

solo · 17/01/2011 18:33

Tomorrow is another day HowTo :)

tessieb · 17/01/2011 19:14

I'm not doing so well either, eaten too much and too quickly. I need to get focussed on this again, certainly don't want to put any of the 4 lbs I've lost back on! Why am I spoiling things when I'm just starting to see a little success?????

Thinking of booking a holiday for May or June so I'm going to count how many weeks I've got to shed a few stone (well, 3 actually). Last summer I was about half a stone lighter than I am now and I felt like a beached whale then, covering up as much as possible. I've got to sort this out as I want to feel more confident and look better this summer. Also, don't think many of my summer clothes will fit me at the moment! Blush

bloomingnora · 17/01/2011 20:52

I've just been to slimming world (I had just bought a twelve week countdown when I rediscovered PM and am going to go and be weighed every week or two until it runs out & the low fat recipes have gotta be good for the gallstones Grin) and I have lost 3.5lbs! Really pleased and when I arrived I was hungry but as soon as I saw that I had lost I suddenly wasn't again. Definitely need to be aware when it is emotional hunger.

tessie, try not to put so much pressure on yourself. Take it one meal at a time for a few days and just see how it goes. You're bound to shed that half stone quickly and then every bit of weight loss will make you lighter than you were last summer!

tessieb · 17/01/2011 21:35

Ok, something to help motivate us all. If you go to mvm.com (my virtual model) you can get an idea of how you will look at a lighter weight. Very inspirational!

tessieb · 17/01/2011 21:40

Wow - my virtual model looks great at 8 and a half stone! Just trying different clothes on my model too. Smile

ktwiltshire · 17/01/2011 21:57

tessieb is it free? i will be visitingn if it is!

ok today has been a very good day, really needed as i had more than i had planned yesterday!

remeber forget bad days, tomorrows another day and it can start all over again x

Rindercella · 17/01/2011 23:06

Grin at mvm.com It's really good. But I did just mistakenly put my weight in at 3 st over what I currently weigh and was Shock totally horrified by what I saw! I breathed a little sigh of relief when I corrected the measurements. Looking at this though I think I need to lose closer to 3 stone than the 2 stone I originally thought

missmakesstuff · 17/01/2011 23:11

This sounds great, will have a look. I am struggling to listen to the CD, can only do it when I go to bed, keep falling asleep within about two minutes....not good, have certainly noticed that I have struggled with snacking more, although portions are certainly smaller, I feel very full on very little food now, which is great!

Getting excited about the conference thingy now, think it will really help to kick me up the bum...just don't know who to take, I may still offer on here, so keep em peeled!

missmakesstuff · 17/01/2011 23:12

oh, and pombear badge tutorial to arrive soon....still planning...

ktwiltshire · 18/01/2011 00:10

create a look? am i on the right page?

ktwiltshire · 18/01/2011 00:12

have not eaten much (at all) today other than drinks at the party, of to bed when ive finished my drink and work in the moring. audio book on the way to work and a meeting at lunch time, i can do this,

must listen to my hunger and pay attention to it. to be honest i thinkk my metabolism is catching up with my stomach as ive over eaten SO long

solo · 18/01/2011 00:20

Shock No cellulite Grin the MVM has no cellulite...
So come on, who else added stone by stone to see what they'd look like if they didn't get on top of it? Blush

ktwiltshire · 18/01/2011 00:23

solo · 18/01/2011 00:29

solo · 18/01/2011 00:30

Try that kt, it seems straight forward.

ktwiltshire · 18/01/2011 07:50

i will try it when i get home from work, just watching timmy time with the kids then drop them at school on the way to the bus stop!!

feel very dehydrated today, but it was expected, and DH had a good party last night..aah the life of a musician!

Curiousmama · 18/01/2011 08:00

Grin solo yes it does sound like that. No did tree at home then on to school.

Didn't do bad at all yesterday. Made the most delicious spag bol, slow cooked in red wine, and didn't overeat. Normally I'd stuff so much in I'd feel uncomfortable. I had toast for very late supper. Waited up for dp as he finished early (1.30am) and he came home and made toast.

Not eatenn so far today as been busy sorting boys. I'll have porridge soon though.

Good luck for today everyone Smile

Going to do more yoga later, at home though Wink

ppeatfruit · 18/01/2011 09:55

Solo annoyingly i have to be on a diet most the time to maintain my (not very low weight)!

solo · 18/01/2011 10:46

It's going to change for you though ppeat, you have to believe that and in yourself.

Grin Curious!

solo · 18/01/2011 10:53

Hi itsonly waves.

Only been following this for a couple of days and I have a question about leaving food on your plate. Are you always supposed to leave some regardless of how full you feel?

At lunch today I put significantly less on my plate than I normally would and shared it with DS, which meant I literally didn't get the 'full feeling' until I took the last mouthful. Should I have left a little and had a plum or something, to feel satisfied or is it not that important?

On the upside I've done Just Dance2 (I'm some months away from being able to do the Shred without the need for a medic on standby) for the second day running and feel in a lot better spirits for doing a bit of exercise.

Well done to all the ladies who have already lost some weight.

ppeatfruit · 18/01/2011 14:21

Always... after a while you find that you give yr self the amount that you CAN eat without having to leave any. You get used to it.
