Hi all

I wondered if anyone else was planning to follow Paul mckenna this year and lose their weight?

im currently 16st13 and intend to end the year a fit toned 10st. im a bit hit and miss with following the golden rules but when i do i have seen results so from today i will follow it and get the results i want.

as well as the weight loss with paul mckenna i intend to

Beardo the just dance 2 fitness thing every day till my husband (RAF) flies out to the middle east around april

Bear do the couch to 5k plan and run race for life this year

Bearstart the 30 day shred when dh goes away and repeat it till he comes home (approx 4 months)

I also have one of those magic leg trainers coming on home approval so will have a play with that and see if its worth keping, apart from that i will reassess my fitness in august when he gets home and come to some decisions on how to go forward with that then but for now these seem like reasonable goals, especially when they're on top of really following the golden rules.

so anyone else following 'the rules' this year and going to join me with their aims?

the book for anyone curious about it, though i got mine from my local works type bookshop for less than £5 thats less than one weeks ww/sw/etc subs to try it out and its honestly the most sensible weightloss plan ive ever looked at

I too am at my heaviest weight ever, not pregnant, my goal is to fit into my old size 12/14 clothes, i think that will probably mean loosing around 2/3 stone

tessieb · 16/01/2011 10:34

ktwiltshire - I'm even heavier now than I was when I was 9 months pregnant - how scary is that!!! Shock

I have so many clothes I can't get into at the moment, so looking forwards to getting back into them. Smile

ppeatfruit · 16/01/2011 10:44

Hi everyone!! I love fruit too (see my name1) and do have it as a meal:I make a fab smoothie with ground almonds, apples, pears figs or dates that fills me up.

ppeatfruit · 16/01/2011 10:48

if your weight loss has slowed down try my amazing tummy exercise on the old paul Mckenna I Can Make You Thin thread with 287 posts approx .It's on the last page.

ppeatfruit · 16/01/2011 10:55

Talking about health and P.M. I DO follow my blood type diet which is for health with P.M. It works fine.

solo · 16/01/2011 11:09

Me too tessieb :(
I've lost 12lbs so far and have at least 2st to go, but if I can just get into my 12's 14s...

bloomingnora · 16/01/2011 11:21

I've got a dilemma now - I'm really quite hungry but I know we are having lunch at twelve. Do I let myself get very, very hungry and then make sure I eat with awareness? Or shall I have some fruit and hope that I am hungry again by twelve? I had a banana half an hour ago and then felt fine but I am already hungry again!

Or am I just emotionally hungry....maybe I should just go and hug DH Grin

solo · 16/01/2011 11:23

Have a drink of water.

bloomingnora · 16/01/2011 11:40

Not hug DH? Ok, shall have some water. He doesn't really look up for a hug anyway. And he smells of fags.

solo · 16/01/2011 12:26
Grin
tessieb · 16/01/2011 12:39

Solo well done, 12 lbs is a great loss. How long has it taken?

What about everyone else? How much do you all hope to lose?

At the moment I have a problem with trousers. I don't have many pairs that fit comfortably, but there's no way I want to buy a bigger size. When I lose about a stone I'll have so many clothes to wear that I bought a couple of years ago when I was much lighter..... Also, I'm looking forward to clothes shopping and buying a smaller size. I'm only 5'2 and would love to fit into a size 10 (currently squeezing into a couple of pairs of generously cut size 14s and had to buy size 16 trousers for workBlush!!!

tessieb · 16/01/2011 12:40

Actually, thinking about it, it's not just trousers I'm having problems with, it's all my clothes. I'm only able to wear such a small percentage of them at the moment...

solo · 16/01/2011 12:47

Thanks tessie. It's taken around two months.

Curiousmama · 16/01/2011 14:02

tessieb you sound as if you have the same problem as me. I fit into the 14s but just. It's tops that are tight (boobs bigger) and my arms.

We'll get there. I know we will Smile

Today so far have eaten muesli and yoghurt but have slept a lot (ill at mo) Dss are at their dad's so made the most of it. Dp works nights so comes in at 9 to sleep, snuggles up and I went back off Blush I am poorly so have an excuse Wink

ppeatfruit · 16/01/2011 16:28

yeah with me it's taken 2 to 3 months shame there's been a blip at Xmas but with help of my exercise and not eating after 8p.m. I'm still in my size 12s. Good luck all !!

ktwiltshire · 16/01/2011 19:43

sounds like everyone is doing really well.

Best thing to do when your hungry is drink water first, and then if 20mins later your still hungry, its likely to be a real hunger. quite often when we think we are hungry as are thirsty, well for those of us who dont really hydrate properly, that can be the case!

I am currently in size 18s, they are loose on me, but my 16s are tight and wouldnt look right for work, well i wouldnt feel comfortable as theyred be blobs comming out the sides!!

today has been some marmite on toast and sunday roast, i had about half my plate full as i was nearly full, and i was really looking forward to pudding, banoffee pie, and i had about 1/2 of that as well. it was all tasty and i ate as consciously as possible, and really did stop when i was full. all the dinner leftovers go in the babys (7months) dinners mix i do, that girl eats nothinng but roast dinners and fruit puree with custard!!

tomorrow is a work day, so most likely wont eat during the day, might have somethinng for lunch if im hungry, but im normally not hungry whilst at work, i snack if im not thinking about it, so trying my best to only eat if im hungry, and if i am i will nip accross the road and get some fruit to eat.
tomorrow night is DHs birthday party so i expect i will have a few snacky type things and some drinks.

Hope everyone else had a good sunday, and good luck for the week ahead.

I am aiming for a 7lb loss by week three, i think its completely do-able as thats only 2lbs more than currently. i think 7lbs every 3 weeks is a good slow goal.

Hi ladies, I've only just re-started PM so haven't seen any results yet. But I was one of the winners of the tickets to see him in Feb and I haven't got a guest, so if anybody's interested, please PM me.

Curiousmama · 17/01/2011 11:36

Well still doing ok up to now. Am going to attempt a yoga dvd that's gathering dust. It's yoga for dummies so should manage it? I have done yoga many moons ago and can mostly remember farting when in certain positions Grin

ppeatfruit · 17/01/2011 12:27

Yes Curious i don't much like yoga. Some people are better with a brisk walk or dance and some like shredding (depends on you!)T.V. has good keep fit progs.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 17/01/2011 15:51

well, ive had a CRAP weekend , havent followed teh rules at all. And there is not even a reason why :( Well, onwards and upwards (in spirits) and downwards (in pounds)!!

solo · 17/01/2011 15:54

I'm really trying to hang in there. I'm terrified, no! I'm terrified of putting even a lb back on. I never, ever want to put myself through this again.

Curiousmama · 17/01/2011 16:04

Keep going everyone am sure it'll get easier?

Yoga went well, really easy to follow dvd (hence it being for dummies Grin) It's been years since I posed in the tree, had to cut it short at the dog as was expected to work in school. Think I'll be keeping it up though? Ds2 fancies trying it should be fun Smile

Done well with eating, would say I'm grazing tbh. Spag bog for tea will try not to eat too much Blush

solo · 17/01/2011 16:18

Erm...I've read it twice and I'm trying to work out if you were posing as a tree at work Curiousmama? Am in awe if you were!!! Grin
