2011 Paul Mckenna

Deafworm · 01/01/2011 11:16

Hi all

I wondered if anyone else was planning to follow Paul mckenna this year and lose their weight?

im currently 16st13 and intend to end the year a fit toned 10st. im a bit hit and miss with following the golden rules but when i do i have seen results so from today i will follow it and get the results i want.

as well as the weight loss with paul mckenna i intend to

Beardo the just dance 2 fitness thing every day till my husband (RAF) flies out to the middle east around april

Bear do the couch to 5k plan and run race for life this year

Bearstart the 30 day shred when dh goes away and repeat it till he comes home (approx 4 months)

I also have one of those magic leg trainers coming on home approval so will have a play with that and see if its worth keping, apart from that i will reassess my fitness in august when he gets home and come to some decisions on how to go forward with that then but for now these seem like reasonable goals, especially when they're on top of really following the golden rules.

so anyone else following 'the rules' this year and going to join me with their aims?

the book for anyone curious about it, though i got mine from my local works type bookshop for less than £5 thats less than one weeks ww/sw/etc subs to try it out and its honestly the most sensible weightloss plan ive ever looked at

NicknameTaken · 14/01/2011 11:48

No problem, ppeat. Might meet you there!

ktwiltshire · 14/01/2011 11:52

Sorry to say that my spare ticket has gone, my mum wants it, she will have had her back operation by then and will be able to move/exercise by then :( was hoping she didnt want to go, love her dearly but she doesnt believe i could have an eating disorder (i.e. she didnt spot it) so weight etc is a sore topic for me around her, but couldnt exactly hide tickets and going to london for the day as she lives round the corner and is at my house every day!!

not really decided about the weighing yet, im still weighing daily and i know its not helpful, but its like smoking i suppose (which i do) its a habbit and it wont go easily!!

today is DHs birthday, 30th so we are going out for lunch, tea party with the kids and probably snacky things in the evening.

hope everyone has a good day!!!

solo · 14/01/2011 13:16

Have you got a ticket NicknameTaken?

NicknameTaken · 14/01/2011 13:20

Not yet. I think I might buy one. That's what credit cards are for, eh?

solo · 14/01/2011 13:21

I did PM you, did you get it?

NicknameTaken · 14/01/2011 13:22

Sorry, I didn't. I've never used the PM - I have to subscribe to get PMs, don't I?

NicknameTaken · 14/01/2011 13:24

Oh, I'm silly, got the message on my email. Sorry, I'm new to PM'ing.

solo · 14/01/2011 13:26

No, it must've changed because I can send them now which I couldn't before unless it was a reply. At the very top of the page you'll see an 'inbox' you should see a red spot on it which means you have mail :) click on it.

NicknameTaken · 14/01/2011 13:28

Sent! Thanks, solo, you've taught me something new today!

solo · 14/01/2011 13:34

Okay, gave in and bought ticket. Hope to meet you all there!

ktwiltshire · 14/01/2011 20:33

the day is going well so far, we went out to the italian for lunch, i had olives, garlic bread and pizza, i had about 1/3 of the pizza, DH had some of it and then we took the rest home. it was really nice, i ate consciously and enjoyed it.

tea party with the kids was good, i had cucumber, tomatos and a small slice of cake, its a birthday, cake is a MUST! and was very yummy so i am happy, although i think i might skip dinner as im not hungry again yet, and i dont like eating after 9pm

How has everyone elses days been?

Deafworm · 14/01/2011 20:44

glad you are coming nicknametaken. its looking like it could be a lot of fun

sounds like youve done well kt

think i ate a little too much at lunch but not to ridiculous levels, ive been aiming to stay at neutral and i think i went a bit more to full, wi in the morning, cant believe its been 15 days bit nervous about it now but hoping for something good, fingers crossed, dont really feel like ive lost weight but feel a lot less bloated and more comfortable which is a good start if nothing else

OP posts:
ktwiltshire · 14/01/2011 20:51

thats a good start deafworm i am sure you will do a lot better than you think, and either way, less bloated is brilliant, im sure your body is thanking you!

solo · 14/01/2011 21:56

Well, I'm pleased to report another 2lbs off this week, so that's 12 in all.

neolara · 14/01/2011 22:20

Deafworm and Whomovedmychocolate - thanks for your advice about the non-wake-you-up-cds.

Deafworm - thanks also for the offer of your cds. Very generous. However, I feel raring to go so will get some off ebay and get started straight away.

ktwiltshire · 14/01/2011 23:43

well done solo thats fantastic, your doing brilliantly well.

My day is going really well, i havent had any dinner, but i did have a really nice lunch and snacks with the kids at tea time for DHs bday. having a few drinks tonight, DH has decided to extend his bday until monday, when his party is. but DH has ofered to do the morning shift so i can have a lie in.

Not to sure on what food or meals are going to be around tomorrow, normal weekend stuff i suppose, will continue, as ever to eat consciously and only when hungry, and not too full.

Going to try and find time tomorrow to listen to some more of the CDs as ive only got through one section so far, need a few more tips i think!

ktwiltshire · 15/01/2011 00:36

Someone remind me to drink a few pints of water in the morning, i love having evening ins with DH, as hes a musician and works nights, but they almost always include a few drinks and although its lovely, im competely aware that it dehydrates me, but i am conscious enough to drink water at night/in the morning.

watching a programme on brain (bbc4 i think) secrets, emotions etc. really going to try and make the effort tomorrow to listen to another track of the CD, and also go for a nice long walk with the kids, hopefully my hips will allow.

Curiousmama · 15/01/2011 01:40

Hi all, I'd like to join in please? I was in the library yesterday and spotted PM's book (with cd) so borrowed it. I've just listened to the cd tonight and found it very relaxing. I haven't read the book yet though.

Today I've had a good food day, also not overeaten, just ate what I needed. I've been eating more healthily cooked veggy food recently. In fact the whole family have. Dp and I love to cook so have been experimenting with different dishes.

I didn't see the PM webchat? Not that I would make the seminar. Hope you all have a lovely meetup though Smile

Curiousmama · 15/01/2011 01:41

Oh and I need to lose at least 2 stone but as long as I get into a size 12 and look toned I'll be happy. Am size 14 and 5ft 8".
