A newborn calf and four more guinea pigs are joining us …..

HereIGoOnceMore · 01/07/2026 21:55

Mine’s much more modest (I’m only 5”2 though). But my 33Lb cinder block takes us to the 800’s. And my cholesterol is much healthier.

Well done all.

TreesOfGreen99 · 01/07/2026 22:17

Please can I add a 36lb microwave? I haven’t posted for months but still try to read the updates

HKG · 01/07/2026 22:20

i rarely post anymore but I always check in with you lovely ladies. I’ve been quite unwell lately, lots of different things. I have a niggle in my head that I caused some of it by taking WLI, which makes me feel very guilty and selfish

HKG · 04/07/2026 19:58

Side note, has anyone tried retinol body cream to help with the loose skin, esp bingo wings? I was researching the other day and saw something that said this could help???

Apprenante · 04/07/2026 23:09

I haven't used retinol but I slather on almost any cheaper moisturising cream every morning on my arms and legs. I don't think it's made much any difference to the loose skin and at my age it would be unrealistic to expect otherwise! But my skin is soft and smooth. I add a bit of tanning stuff too so my arms and legs are brownish. I think that helps disguise the melted candle effect.

Don't you have to avoid sunlight if you use retinol? Tricky on arms and legs .... unless you're completing Dracula.

ElsieJay · 05/07/2026 07:02

Totally off topic but had the most amazing surprise yesterday!
DH , myself and grandson were up 4am to go deep sea tuna fishing 🐠 - his “birthday treat” choice, I enjoyed it more than expected….

Back to the house around 11am.
DH and I showered and went upstairs for a nap .
I woke up with a start - someone at the door .
Threw on my (flimsy!) dressing gown and went to door - our DS, his lovely partner and her daughter standing there !!

Absolutely zero idea they were coming - turns out that DD and all her family knew, they’d booked a table for us all to eat out last night .
Had a lovely, lovely time and am still in shock this morning !
DS staying about 3 mins walk from where we are - here for 5 days so we will make the absolute most of it .
Feeling very, very happy and a bit tearful that all this was planned for us 😍😍😍.

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 05/07/2026 07:54

You can add 115lb from me to the loss total

Gingercar · 05/07/2026 08:16

That’s so lovely ElsieJay

MyScaredCat · 05/07/2026 08:17

I started using body lotion daily when I started using MJ. Always looked after my face and neglected my body. Not sure it makes any difference to loose-ness, but it’s a ritual I enjoy anyway.
interestingly DH said just yesterday I look a lot better with some weight on! I have no weight on and told him that I’m the exact weight I was last October.
he said I looked gaunt and ill then and look healthy now.
it’s like my body took time to adjust to its new weight.

sos not appreciate the gaunt comment. I am early 40s and take very good care of my appearance and frequently pass for younger. Rude man valued his life not saying that to me back then 😂
