I’ve finally taken the plunge and just ordered Wegovy from Asda pharmacy. All been well it should be ready for collection on Tuesday so it would be great to hear from anyone else who has just started or is about start their WLI/Weygovy journey.
I’m very nervous and haven’t told anyone, but I’ve just failed at my 3rd diet attempt this year and feeling horribly self-conscious about my weight and dreading the summer so just thought fuck it, I’m going to give it a go.

@ThatAgileMintBiscuit I started just last thursday and had zero gastric type side effects. just some appetite satiety, very mild suppression more like extra will power.

That’s exactly how mine feels. However we’re currently renovating a house whilst we rent another, so we’re up there most evenings keeping busy which helps.

when we got home last night we shared a Lidl fish pie with a bit of veg on the side, we’d normally have to supplement with extra mash or veg to feel full.

DH hasn’t ordered his yet, need to start a little gentle nudging. My increased willpower has helped him though, he’s riding on my coattails (unless he’s sneaking snacks in 🤣)

Katkincake · 23/04/2026 07:56

Forgot to say, scales showed a 3lb loss this morning 🥳

Literally nothing. I’ve been away and was eating out normal 3 course meals (so more than I’d usually have For an evening meal at home) plus hotel breakfast. I’ve certainly not been intentionally gorging, but I’ve not noticed any difference in appetite, will power or general interest in food despite now being on day 9 and 2 jabs in.

@BreakingBroken @itsallabouttobegin thanks, yeah I think I’ll stretch to at least tomorrow, maybe Saturday, I still have the suppression today (day 7) so that’s deff the plan, I wouldn’t mind a day of normal hunger before I do the next injection.
I’m sure my loss will slow down now next week, losing 1-2 pounds a week is the goal. I think if I lost another 10 pounds in week 2 I’d reassess and skip a week or something until injection 3 (I mean I don’t think that’ll happen)

@Katkincake well done that’s a great sustainable loss 🎉

@lechatnoir have u weighted and are maybe still losing but just not noticing that ur maybe snacking less or something?
might be time to move up to a stronger dose to get the suppression

BreakingBroken · 23/04/2026 11:34

Oh my @lechatnoir fingers crossed the medication kicks in soon.

VividDeer · 23/04/2026 17:15

Sorry to hear that @lechatnoir . Hopefully as you increase the dose it will work better for you.

Just goes to show how different everyone is I guess.

VividDeer · 23/04/2026 17:16

I've done a 8.5 mile hike today on a handful of almonds, a small banana and a tiny cereal bar. Had to make myself eat those!
I think I could be looking at reducing the dose. Although dont feel bad from it at all. Maybe this is how it's supposed to feel.

RaelImperialAerosolKid · 23/04/2026 18:24

@lechatnoir- that’s tough you must be so disappointed. Hopefully it kicks in soon.
l’m about to order my month 2 batch - I’m thinking of staying on 0.25 .
im down 9lbs which is good but nit noticed anything clothes wise.
i have a really nice pair of trousers I want to fit into.

Ibwah · 23/04/2026 20:23

Place marking as just been approved by lotus. Was going to go with medicine marketplace but couldn’t get a consultation until 30th. I was 91kg (5’2”) when started on Mounjaro. Got down to 84kg after 4 months but had to stop because of price increase but this week I got a promotion and can now afford wegovy (same price as MJ was last year). Am now 85kg, would love to get down to 65kg. I have been running for exercise and ran a half marathon two weeks ago but injured my foot!
I came off Mounjaro in December and hoping the
big gap will enable some suppression. So glad to have some people to chat to ok this journey. We can do it!

BreakingBroken · 23/04/2026 21:12

welcome @Ibwah i'm pretty short as well 5'3.
it will be interesting to hear your perspective on the two different products!

ThatAgileMintBiscuit · 23/04/2026 21:15

Gutted all. Was hoping my injections would be delivered by Royal Mail today (Voy). It says it’s was out for delivery between 10 and 2. It didn’t arrive the screen still remains the same. Hopefully they will turn up tomorrow!

BreakingBroken · 23/04/2026 21:20

@ThatAgileMintBiscuit positive thoughts!
last year i tried to order via the mail, it got snagged up in a long weekend and mid way through the delivery i chickened out and cancelled the order. i was both excited and scared and just that little delay made me wobble.

I’m hopefull. I am worried about side effects after the first injection especially as I’m in work all next week.

How are you getting on @BreakingBroken ?

BreakingBroken · 23/04/2026 22:49

i've mentioned it a few times, happily down over 5lbs over the first week.
zero untoward effects and only a comfortable not hungry feeling.
so i'm pleased no concerns,
rather than injecting mid day today i will stretch to tomorrow am but want the extra help (assuming it will wear off) for saturday.
saturday starts at 5 am where i will be working at the local farmers market around sweet and savory food till 1pm.
absolutely just too much temptation.

HRTnewbie · 24/04/2026 06:01

Well this week hasn't been great. First week lost 5lbs, then a further pound, but I have remained that pound and not lost further. Tomorrow is 3rd injection day. I have had side effects, hoping I can tolerate the higher dose when it comes to it. My diet has been on point.

Hoping next week is better x

jabsahoy · 24/04/2026 06:14

@HRTnewbie but that's still 6lb off in 2 weeks so don't be disheartened, well done you! Hopefully your side effects will wear off.

@lechatnoir stick with it, maybe after this starter dose month, the next dose will kick you off?

According to MFP, I've averaged 1520 cals per day so far this week so hoping I can stick to lower than that the next 2 days before Sun weigh-in as that's not much less than my tdee (joys of being middle aged, doing a desk job and being a shortie, I see there's a few of us shorties here!)

HRTnewbie · 24/04/2026 06:15

@jabsahoy that is very true thank you x

VividDeer · 24/04/2026 07:55

I'm probably the shortest of all 😆
Very slightly over 5 feet tall.

MyBrightPeer · 24/04/2026 08:09

I’ve just done dose 3 and wondering whether to go up a dose for the next one? MedExpress seemed to suggest sticking at 0.25g but I think I’ll go to the next one.

Food noise starts to be going down now which is great. I previously used Mounjaro and lost three stone but couldn’t afford the huge price hike so switched over.

JumpingJacks11 · 24/04/2026 08:49

@HRTnewbie 6 pounds in 2 weeks is amazing and kinda the ideal for consistency and keeping it off, well done. I do think we’ve better chance of keeping it off if its slow and steady like that.
@RaelImperialAerosolKid great loss aswel, u must be delighted. Staying at 0.25 sounds like a good plan, I think I’ll do the same

I’m on day 8 and still could only eat half of my normal breakfast, I’ll do second injection either tonight or tomorrow but considering doing 0.2 instead of 0.25, anyone else done this?

im also a shortie, good few of us here

Ibwah · 24/04/2026 09:28

@MyBrightPeer my first dose of wegovy has just been dispatched . I previously lost weight on Mounjaro but couldn’t afford it anymore so been off it since January. I have just had a promotion at work and have decided to go and give wegovy a go as have another 20kg to lose. How have you found wegovy in comparison?

Ibwah · 24/04/2026 09:37

@JumpingJacks11 fellow shortie here too!! 5’2” and 85kg! Annoyed with how little we need to eat and how easy it is to over eat!

Same - five foot and a half on a good day 😂

MyBrightPeer · 24/04/2026 11:01

@Ibwah I haven’t really noticed the impact until this week but tbh I can’t remember what the first few weeks of Mounjaro. The price hike was so annoying, having to start again at the bottom of the dosage is irritating!
