I have now taken a total of 52 jabs, so it’s been a year. My actual anniversary is this coming Saturday.
In that time I have lost 36.6kg (or 5 stone 11 pounds), which is 34% of my starting weight. My BMI has dropped from over 40 to just below 27. Another 6kg to go, so my final goal feels very much in touching distance.
I took some new trousers to a tailor today, which I’ve been meaning to for age as they are far too long, but they’re now too big on the waist as well, so he’s taking two and half inches off the waistband. The tailor complimented me in my “tiny waist”. If only my mother could have heard him 😂.
Was also at a party on Saturday night and saw quite a few people I’ve not seen for ages. Got a lot of “you look well” comments (and also a “you shouldn’t lose any more” from the hostess who is an old friend). Separately, she pointed out a photo of us, standing with another couple of friends, from when we were in our 20s. It was from an evening with happy memories but I was struck by how I’m almost twice the size of everyone else in the photo. I felt briefly sorry for that girl.
I wonder if I’m on too high a dose now as I felt very nauseous after leaving the party. Had some canapés and about three glasses of Prosecco over the course of about three hours, but nearly threw up in the street, and had very little appetite all day yesterday and felt rather sorry for myself.
