We won’t make it to Christmas without a new board.

Well done to everyone for getting this far and thank you for your company.

Here’s to a healthy and happy 2026.

Merry Christmas to you all! Enjoy the holidays! I saw this on Insta, so true: “it doesn’t matter what you eat between Christmas and New Year. It’s what you eat between New Year and Christmas that counts”.

However, a note to myself: each Lindor chocolate has 80cals, that’s about 2000 steps. Which means I’ll be walking a lot this week 😉

Atalosswhat2do · 25/12/2025 08:13

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope Santa was good to you all.

I done it, I got my Christmas wish goal to be under 10 stone by this morning! I will be jabbing as usual today to keep me on track! I am so looking forward to my Christmas Dinner today!

Ooh, Merry Christmas congratulations, @Atalosswhat2do ! What a lovely Christmas gift to get from the scales, and what a great incentive to keep going.

I usually have a table of canapes at lunchtime on Christmas Day, and I've enjoyed making three meal a little bit more WLI- friendly - the blini are made as usual, but I mixed sour cream and low fat greek yogurt for the, and added a load of nice raw vegetables, including the rainbow carrots I impulse bought.

Well done! You are smashing it! Oh my god I can’t wait for my dinner tomorrow either! 😂

I hope you lap up the compliments, and when people ask how you have managed to lose weight, you can confidently tell them you have been calorie counting and exercising more.

I mean it’s the truth after all. Yes mounjaro helps reduce the cravings and removes the food noise, but we know it’s not a magic potion that melts fat like most people think it is.

YOU put in the hard work, so shout it from the rooftops, don’t be nervous! If your food tracking app/weight tracking app doesn’t mention Mounjaro then show them your progress. Let them see the endless days & weeks of calorie deficits, and the losses along the way.

Thank you! I talked the talk and threw them off the scent 😅 i've worked so hard for them to judge me for the jabs! I ate so much yesterday anyway that they believed it was all me 😂
Well done on your losses 🥳 below 10 stone is a nice xmas present! I didn't bother weighing today as I know it will have gone up and I don't want to track that 😅 jabbed tonight though.

SoUncertain · 27/12/2025 10:49

How did everyone find Christmas on MJ? I was pleased to be able to enjoy a sensible plate of Christmas dinner and a tiny dessert but know when to stop eating. I've had some Christmas treats but not gone overboard like in previous years. I am really pleased with the balance actually :)

I love it, well done 👏🏼👏🏼 that’s all you have to do with anyone now when the conversation comes up! 😆 Oh absolutely you definitely don’t need that negativity from the scales in your life this week😆😆. Next week will be a nice loss to start the new year! 💪🏻

I’ve gone off piste. I haven’t over eaten particularly but my nutrition has been dire. Lots of snacks, pastry, chocolate etc but not proper meals. It’s only a few days though. Last night I drank red wine and feel truly wretched today. I’ve barely been able to move!

Kazzaa46 · 27/12/2025 19:34

Boxing Day was my jab day so Christmas Day I was able to eat more than usual. I had a Christmas dinner, small portion of pudding but with baileys cream 😆 I did then eat a lot of chocolate in the evening and snacks. The only thing I couldn’t manage was alcohol, managed a few sips of a glass of Prosecco.

Boxing Day was better but I did have some extra treats. I’ve been much better today.

Chopsy123 · 27/12/2025 19:56

@outofofficeagain I hear you!!

I’ve not eaten very much of the healthy stuff at all either.

On Christmas Day, I managed a mini pastry thing for breakfast then a small Xmas dinner around 6pm. I ate a fruit tart about 8pm as a pudding and no alcohol, as I rarely drink. I also read that Bailey’s isn’t good for you if you’re on the jabs and can make you sick. Shame as this is my tipple of choice at Christmas.

Jabbed as usual yesterday.

Today I drank a few cups of coffee but realised about 4pm that I’d not eaten any actual food all day. Made myself a chicken salad as that’s all I fancied. 😳

JustPickleRick · 27/12/2025 21:53

I ate my whole plate of roast dinner, didn't fill it as much as I previously would have but I didn't want to leave a bite 😂 nowadays i stop when i'm full but felt wrong to leave the delicious roast. Also had two slices of chocolate log with cream and unspeakable amounts of after eights 😂 👀 no wonder they didn't question what I said about not being on the jabs 😅

familyornot · 28/12/2025 09:00

My nutrition has been terrible too this week, it was weird having a Xmas where I was having to force myself to eat rather than trying not to over indulge. It’s been good to know I won’t be piling the weight on this time though, I may gain a few pounds but it won’t be at the usual extent. I have noticed that my body reacts differently to junk food now though, I’ve avoided it since starting Mounjaro because I always feel a bit sick. I ate celebration chocolates the other day and just felt sick all night, the same with dessert. I’ve been more savoury so haven’t had chance to see what sugar overload does. I’ve woken up feeling sick today because of it I’m sure.

My dilemma today is that the week before Xmas I was starving, I was craving food and decided that I needed to move up from 5mg to 7.5mg, I ordered the new pen and when I got on the scales at the end of the week saw that I’d dropped 3lbs - big weight loss for me. So the hunger etc hadn’t really affected the loss like I was expecting. I continued with the last dose from my 5mg pen and all week I’ve been full, suppression has been high and I’ve struggled to eat (this could be because I’ve suddenly been eating unhealthy food). So I’m due to take my next dose today but only have a 7.5mg pen. I don’t think I need to take that much and I’m desperate to stop feeling sick. Would you stick with 5 or jump up to 7, putting this week down to diet changes and knowing that you’ll be back to eating healthily next week? I’ve only micro dosed once before (3.75 before 5mg jump).

From a 7.5mg pen is it 45 clicks for 5mg?

I think 40 out of 60, to stay at 5, as that's 2/3 of 7.5.

Chopsy123 · 28/12/2025 13:15

@familyornot Yes, 40 clicks for 5mg of a 7.5mg pen. Might be worth staying on 5mg for at least another week?

I find that the suppression during the week can vary depending on several factors, inc. what you’ve eaten over the past few days. For instance, if I have too much junk food in the week, I definitely lose a bit of suppression by day 6.

Calculation:

Whatever the pen dosage size is, it’s 60 clicks for the full dose for all Mounjaro pens.

60 clicks of a 2.5mg pen gives you 2.5mg dose.
60 clicks of a 5mg pen gives you 5mg dose.
60 clicks of a 12.5mg pen will give you 12.5mg dose.

To work out how many clicks for a reduced dose for any pen, you need to divide 60 by the pen size to get the number of clicks for 1mg.

So 60 divided by 7.5 (7.5g pen) and you get the number of clicks per 1mg = 8 clicks.

Then if you want say a 4mg dose, you’d multiply 8 by 4 = 32 clicks.
Or 8 multiplied by 5 = 40 clicks for a 5mg dose.

Hope someone finds this useful?

bluepaperwaspofbxl · 28/12/2025 13:46

Hope everyone is having a good Christmas break. I’ve been a complete glutton with snacks and feel like I’ve been run over. Going to jab today, 3 days late, as I’ve had quite enough and am ready to behave again.

Pinkbox · 28/12/2025 14:28

Well it’s a Christmas miracle! Got back from family last night and weighed this morning, have lost 1 lb this week!!!

SerafinasGoose · 28/12/2025 17:51

Talking of new trousers, I'm back in my old ones. Two pairs of Levis that no longer fitted me and one I could get on (but lacerated my middle) are now a perfect fit!

Yay that must be fab! I’ve been this size for so long I’m going to need a whole new wardrobe once I am at target weight.

SoUncertain · 28/12/2025 20:58

I'm down another 1.5 lbs (0.7kg) this week 🎉 Christmas was pretty reasonable in terms of calories, but as @outofofficeagain mentioned, nutrition was shocking! Been to Asda today to top.up the salad supplies though!

SW: 131.6kg
CW: 116.6kg (-15kg!)
Next goal: 110kg

We have a 6yo, so no NYE drinking to navigate. Hoping to settle back into the routine again now.

familyornot · 28/12/2025 21:29

Thank you @WhiteAmaryllisand @Chopsy123
I’ve done 40 clicks and stuck to 5mg for this week.

@Pinkboxwell done on the loss!

I’ve eaten so differently this week, I always overindulge over Xmas but this time feels odd. I’ve not eaten a large amount, I’ve just eaten unhealthy food which is making me feel terrible. Even my sleep is poor at the minute. It’s a bit of an eye opener as to what I’ve been doing to my body over the last 10 years.

Now that I’ve lost a chunk of weight I really need to up my exercise, so after new year I plan to get back to the exercise classes I got too overweight to do safely. I’m really looking forward to them, although it’ll be hard to motivate myself when it’s cold and dark outside.

One question I do have for everyone is if anyone else is constantly cold?? I’ve gone from being overweight and sweating to bloody freezing since I’ve started on Mounjaro. I’m not sure whether it’s the losing weight which is causing it or a side effect. I usually take my jab on the morning, then on the evening I’m cold, through the night for the next 2 to 3 nights I’ll be very cold but especially my face, I wear extra layers and turn the heating up (the problem with this is that no one else wants the heat turning up so I don’t think the house is particularly cold). Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes I’m constantly cold. I think it’s a weightloss thing but could also be a side effect.

I'm the same, freezing cold and used to be boiling all the time

Chopsy123 · 29/12/2025 09:20

Yes, I been feeling colder than normal. To compensate, I’ve been wearing extra layers and a gilet indoors. DH moans if it’s hotter than 19° indoors. 😂

However, I always use an electric blanket on the bed in winter as I prefer to be toasty under the duvet in a cold bedroom (around 12°c currently). I like a cold face and pillow at night. (If anyone is thinking of buying an electric blanket, the ones that are like a thick padded mattress cover work best as you can’t feel the wires in them.)
