General question here
Have any of you created a stock of some sort?
I really struggled in august because I didn’t have one, was due to go away just when I needed a refill and everyone had run out. I dintvreally want a repeat slim thinking if having one or two pens ahead. Worth it??

Someone mentioned in Circle the 7.5mg was only £9 off compared to the others - the reply was

We drop the prices based on what stock is available and how we are able to access it. Unfortunately there still seems to be stock delays with certain strengths and we are trying to manage it accordingly

My 5mg is £14 off, plus the usual £15, plus £14 Oushk points off, then 1p delivery saving £6.98 it makes it only £5 more expensive than the pre price hikes so I've ordered one with a late November delivery date (will push into Dec nearer the time).

Though its getting complicated! Not sure I like needing to stick it in my spreadsheet to work out the price I'll pay vs normal!

All sounds a bit of a palaver. I noticed a few are doing discounts or offers recently. Maybe the orders are down with the price changes

Pre the price hike madness I always had one pen ahead. I inject on Saturday.

I would order next pen for Thursday before. If it arrives not well chilled use it immediately, if arrives well chilled them put in fridge and use the spare. If any delays I have my spare to use.

Now I am an extra 3 pens ahead so working to get back to one pen ahead (pharmacy knows prescribing history so knows I have extra pens and wont be ordering for 3 months)

I only do this because I have been stable using 5mg pens for over a year so very unlikely to need to change.

I like to keep 2 unopened pens in hand. That way if there's shortages or delivery issues i dont have to panic.

I gathered my stock by using the bonus dose but ordering every 4-weeks (sometimes earlier due to holidays).

The reason I started doing this with mj is that I'd started a year or so prior with ozempic but there were shortages and my provider was going to put up prices whilst keeping me on the starting dose for longer. So I gave up as it all felt like too much. So when I decided to start mj I was keen to give myself some breathing space.

Im very fortunate that I could afford to do so and I appreciate that not everyone can, but if financially it is sn option for you then I'd recommend having at least 1 spare pen.

I have to say the change with the new pen etc… is another worry.

I have pens in hand from early on when I didn’t trust the supply or delivery so would order when I got the first prompt, 2 weeks after the previous pen was dispatched. It does mean I’ve never worried about that kind of thing and could just ignore that stressful time around the price rises.

I have a 10mg, a 7.5mg and 2x 5mg and I’m maintaining now, so using these to reduce the dose very slowly. I am hoping to come off MJ eventually so planning on buying a couple of 2.5s and then hopefully that will be it. I’m going to get those from pharmacies that allow you to restart within a year, so although I will be using up my stash for several months I will still have about 3 months to try being completely free of MJ while still being able to restart. And in any case I may well discover along the way that actually I need to keep on a maintenance dose.

I feel some of the suppliers (not just Oushk) have probably had a quieter month after last month's madness and are now wanting to shift stock.

I personally much prefer a supplier with static pricing - no concerns over me ordering and then the price dropping. My brain struggles with all these discounts and codes.

I’ve also learnt some pharmacies are not that good re packaging and keeping the pen cold.
one needed a signature, told me last minute it was sending it and that was on the one day there was no one at home 🙄🙄
So price is at the top of my list atm but the ease of use and reliability is right up there too.

I was actually wondering with the Eli Lilly scheme where they get rebates in arrears, if they encourage customers to order in advance with a delayed delivery they smooth out their cash flow a bit by claiming the rebate for the order before they dispatch.

(I was just pondering.........that might not be how it works, they might need to actually dispatch before requesting the rebate)

It's an amazing offer - i ordered a 2.5mg for £112.01 incl the penny for delivery, £25 discount for maintenance and £13 in loyalty points which is less than I was paying before the price rises! I've put delivery for end November as I've got stock for several months due to microdosing at 1.25mg. For all the criticism of Oushk, no one can criticise their willingness to give a refund, so fair dos to them.

If the aim was to stop customers leaving for other prescribers, it's worked for me 😅

I have used the code and my points which means with the 0.01 postage & price drop that the cost of the pen is one of the cheapest. It’s a great way to use up my points.

Still grating that prices lept up so much in September

@KrankyKumquat yes good price! I've just ordered again with my usual supplier, 5mg for £157 inc spec delivery. I stick with them as a) they are one of the cheaper ones and b) order approved and shipped within a few hours of me ordering and always arrives next day.

@MaurineWayBack yes service so so important. I don't have the energy to be arguing with suppliers about warm/delayed/missing medication.

@WeAllHaveWings that makes sense, I'd forgotten about the rebate scheme - and there must be loads of users sitting on 3+ pens now who haven't even thought about ordering in Sept.

Across the board with my sales businesses (not pharma), Sept has seen a dip in profits. MJ and Wegovy are far more important to people than what I sell, but less new starters may be buying right now as people tighten their purse strings after the summer hols and ahead of Christmas.

On the latest Oushk live lots were saying that they had 6 months stock. I think a lot of suppliers realise that the next six months or so are going to be tricky.

@WeAllHaveWings are you able to work out for me if you don't mind, how much a 10mg mj would be on that new offer with oushk for a new customer? It's not letting me play around with the checkout as I haven't booked a weight verification call. I'm a new customer so get £30 off I believe?

@QueenOfHiraeth 15mg is £280 with same discounts as above.
If you are an existing customer you can also use any points you have accrued on top of these discounts.

Voy is 299 for 12.5 and 15 for continuing patients and with £100 referral discount 199 so think this might be cheaper?

Do we know for sure yet that the golden dose will go and if so when?

I'm still loosing on 5mg after dropping down from 7.5mg during the price hike. I'm pretty sure I won't need to reorder until after Christmas by doing less clicks from my higher dose pens.

I have only recently really started to see a big change since starting in April. I'm going really really slow and only just lost my first 10%

No, nobody knows, not even pharmacists.

It is going happen @NotPerfectlyAdverage In the latest Oushk live there was a reference to reduction in the amount of liquid left over after jab 4 being reduced but they don’t know when.

If I was Eli Lilly any pens being manufactured now will hold less liquid. How quickly the new pens reach customers will depend upon the stock of old style pens that need to be worked through the system.
