For those of us who had to order more than one pen because some suppliers took over three weeks to deliver. How are you doing to get around the 4-8 week reorder window? I ordered from Bolt who took three weeks. I put another order in with med express who also took three weeks to deliver. Then I ordered from my previous supplier IQ who wouldn't even approve me for over three weeks. In desperation for a pen I ordered from Juniper. Then they all turned up. I have four pens now. Innreality I think I could make them last a long time. But like to be able to reorder at some point. Is it worth explaining to them? To get a pause on all orders?

I've just emailed Juniper about this. I have 4 pens in the fridge. Here is the responce:

Thank you for getting in touch and for sharing your concerns — I completely understand how important it is to manage your medication supply and dosage effectively, and I can help you with this.

No worries at all regarding your current stockpile. I have rescheduled your next order to 13th December and escalated this to our pharmacy team to ensure they are aware you have sufficient medication until then. This way, you can continue your current 12.5mg dosage seamlessly when you are ready to receive your next pen.

To clarify your questions:

  • You do not need to provide any proof for the gap in orders due to your stockpile. We understand that these circumstances happen and your treatment plan will remain active.
  • After your break, you can absolutely return to your existing dosage schedule without any issues. If you feel you need a review before resuming, simply email us, and we will be happy to arrange this for you.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or need additional support.

Kind regards,

How are people managing to cope with the price increase? I was hoping to do some overtime at work but so far it hasn't happened. Im trying to sell more stuff on vinted. I'm still looking for the best deals on MJ and swapping to the cheapest provider each month using discount codes but it's still £50-70 more than I've been paying for the past 6 months 🤔

I don't want to switch to wegovy as the non weight loss benefits have been so great I'm worried I'll lose them on wegovy

FurForksSake · 14/09/2025 18:32

I’m spacing my doses out more and will be counting clicks to try and get six jabs out of ny lens.

I've thought about similar but would still have to order every month otherwise risking them saying I have to go back to 2.5mg. what are you doing about that?

FurForksSake · 14/09/2025 18:53

Oushk are quite good and I’ve got a stockpile which I will take a picture of. I’m at maintenance so I’ll say I’m taking some weeks off, which I think they’ll accept.

Personally speaking, was able to add 4 months worth of pens on my credit card between mid and end of August. I'm paying that at £120 a month and it will see me through to end of January at regular dosing.

I'm not really expecting to go up to higher doses (currently just gone to 7.5mg) and will microdose, so they will last me much longer than to January 2026. But I don't have a crystal ball, I acknowledge I don't know and maybe I will use full doses, maybe I won't.

After my stockpile runs out, I think I'll move to Wygovy. What dose and how is something ill deal with in the new year. I think the world was amazed with how efficient Ozempic was before Mounjaro came along, so it must be good. And since Wygovy is Ozempic, it will be infinity better than nothing. And I can't afford Mounjaro so I'm all good with Ozempic/Wygovy.

No point worrying about it now dince i have 4-6 months of Mounjaro. I don't know what dose I'll be on or how I feel when my Mounjaro runs out. But feel confident that pharmacies will support me in whatever I decide. I know that I'm a consumer and there will be several pharmacies vying for my business, so I'll be in a confident position as a consumer.

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 14/09/2025 19:52

So many of us will be eeking out pens, @Fatmumslim01, that I think they'll have to accommodate us somehow. They'll presumably not want to lose a whole extra load of customers. I should probably work out what I think I'm going to take and work out when to next order so as to spread the orders out regularly, but it's beyond me right now!

Is there anywhere you can get objective price comparisons still?
I have had my last 3 lots from Ashworth Pharmacy as was the cheapest I could find, but you have to do THE FULL consultation ALLLL the questions every single time you order (zzzzz)
I'm on 10mg and still have 3 stone to lose.

I used to use Ashcroft and they did have a thing, if you logged in to their site, you could press reorder and skip some of those steps. Took me a while to find it and don't know if it still works the same though.
I moved to SwiftDoctor as Ashcroft were having problems with getting the higher strengths at that time and they have been great too

As @QueenOfHiraeth says you need to find the reorder area - I think it's in previous orders or follow the link from the email they send when it's time to reorder. That cuts most (but not all) out. They still want a pic, waist size, weight, some stuff about medical conditions etc + your ID.

My local pharmacy has been ace!
I got a 10mg pen off them for £200 at the end of August and they said they had plenty of stock and wouldn’t be raising prices until October.
I went back today and the new price in October will be £310 😱
He offered to sell me 2 today at £200 each, he’d previously said he’d prefer cash but when I explained that I could only get £250 out he said I could bring the rest in next week which is after payday 😆

I'm going down a dose to make the pen last longer! My work isn't the kind of place that has overtime either.

Orangesandlemons77 · 23/09/2025 16:26

I have swapped to wegovy, cheaper and seems to work the same for me

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 23/09/2025 16:55

Oushk are trying some loyalty based reward scheme now. However even with my current points off voucher and the returning customer discount they are still £15 more expensive than the cheaper suppliers for a 10mg pen.

I don't know if this is worthy of another thread, but... Apparently the WHO have added tirzepatide to their essential medicines list and I've seen some people say this would be a trigger for cheaper supplies and more healthcare systems prescribing it.

Does anyone know anything concrete about this?

https://www.who.int/news/item/05-09-2025-who-updates-list-of-essential-medicines-to-include-key-cancer--diabetes-treatments

This is a link to the WHO update

"High prices of medicines like semaglutide and tirzepatide are limiting access to these medicines. Prioritizing those who would benefit most, encouraging generic competition to drive down prices and making these treatments available in primary care – especially in underserved areas – are key to expanding access and improving health outcomes."

WHO updates list of essential medicines to include key cancer, diabetes treatments

WeAllHaveWings · 23/09/2025 18:58

The unclear part of it is -

GLP-1 receptor agonists – semaglutide, dulaglutide and liraglutide – and the GLP-1/glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) dual receptor agonist (tirzepatide) have been added to the EML. They are used as glucose lowering therapy for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus with established cardiovascular disease or chronic kidney disease and obesity (defined as body mass index (BMI) ≥ 30kg/m2). This provides clear guidance to countries on which patients can benefit most from these therapies.

Which I think means it is now an essential medication for those with diabetes with specific further conditions. Not for obesity alone. But I may be wrong. Either way I don't think anything is going to change short term.

WeAllHaveWings · 23/09/2025 19:03

Other places reported it is not for obesity alone.

WHO adds GLP-1 drugs for diabetes, others to essential medicines list | Reuters

The expert committee added the active ingredients in Novo Nordisk’s (NOVOb.CO), opens new tab Ozempic and Eli Lilly’s (LLY.N), opens new tab Mounjaro to the list, to treat type 2 diabetes in conjunction with established cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease or obesity.
The drugs were initially developed for diabetes but have also become hugely popular weight-loss drugs, under different brand names. The WHO stopped short of adding them to treat obesity alone, as it also did in 2023.

QueenOfHiraeth · 23/09/2025 23:00

Has anyone heard anything about when the reduction in volume might happen please?
I have one spare pen in hand and don't want to build up a stock but, at the same time, don't want to end up paying this higher price for fewer doses if I can avoid it

WeAllHaveWings · 26/09/2025 14:37

If anyone is interested Oushk have a temporary price drop - email says

"Oushk Pharmacy has officially passed our GPhC inspection – making us one of the first online pharmacies in the weight loss space to do so since the new regulations came into place."

You can add onto it the usual £15 off and it is 1p for delivery (instead of £6.99) so an ok decrease. If you have Oushk points from previous orders you can use them too. Hopefully signs of more to come.
