I’ve just seen a flash sale from Oushk. I’m hoping that this is a sign that, as expected, providers will need to remain competitive. Prices are definitely going up, but it looks like it will be worth shopping around.

CoverMeInMarmalade · 08/09/2025 17:38

Was coming in to comment there is £50 off all pens at Oushk. Not sure why and am not going to buy because I have a bit of a backlog but thought I’d mention it for anyone who needs a new one?

FurForksSake · 08/09/2025 17:53

do we know when the pens will change? £50 off and it being a five dose pen compared to a four dose pen next month could be quite attractive…

Yellowsubmarine55 · 08/09/2025 17:55

Hira said on a live she was unaware of pens changing so I don't think it's imminent if it is happening.

KrankyKumquat · 08/09/2025 17:57

@Yellowsubmarine55
See my post at 17.12

Yellowsubmarine55 · 08/09/2025 18:06

@KrankyKumquat hadn't seen that, apologies!

But does not really say when. On other sites people are saying the change may need to go through regulation approval so I think it's a wait and see.

WeAllHaveWings · 08/09/2025 18:09

FYI - Oushk sale is not £50 across the board - prices below + you get the usual £15 off so 15mg will be £274 + P&P if anyone interested.

You need to have completed a weight verification in the last 6 months to order.

Mounjaro 2.5mg – £159 (back to £169 after stock runs out)
Mounjaro 5mg – £185 (back to £189 after stock runs out)
Mounjaro 7.5mg – £245 (back to £249 after stock runs out)
Mounjaro 10mg – £275 (back to £279 after stock runs out)
Mounjaro 12.5mg – £269 (back to £305 after stock runs out)
Mounjaro 15mg – £289 (back to £325 after stock runs out)

Bit odd, but hopefully more discounts coming in future. Not worth it for me with just £4 off on 5mg.

CoverMeInMarmalade · 08/09/2025 18:15

Oh that's a bit more rubbish than I thought. Ah well, I also hope this is a sign of discounts to come...

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2025 18:36

Sneaky advertising

so £5 off lower 4 pens

You can stack existing discount so bit more than £5, but yes, best is for bigger doses. Can't say I begrudge those on higher doses getting a good discount as they've been royally shafted in my view.

NewLifter · 08/09/2025 19:40

Oushk are driving me mad with their dishonest advertising to be honest. I don't understand why they're doing this, surely they know we aren't stupid??

The email said you can stack discount codes on top of the 'up to £50 off', which insinuates its £50 + the usual £15 discount, but that's not even true!

Very disappointing.

I agree with pp though that I'm happy for those on the high doses to get a decent discount!

GardeningEconomist · 08/09/2025 21:27

KrankyKumquat · 08/09/2025 17:12

No more 5th dose confirmed.

Eli Lilly are trying to squeeze every last cent out of the UK market. They are clearly very pissed off that the Brits have gone to some lengths to get the fifth dose out. There are probably only a few people who dont bother with the fifth dose

PutThe · 08/09/2025 22:09

No 5th dose might be the thing that pushes me to wegovy.

KeepUndercover · 08/09/2025 23:08

I think I might just come off completely. I'd like the back up of a pharmacy that would take me back again if I gain weight, some of the maintenance friendly ones do that right? I'm not sure Bolt do so I might have to order a pen from somewhere else and then stop.

Yes, there is a list of these on the www.monj.co.uk site I understand

BendoftheBeginning · 09/09/2025 11:00

The 5th dose will push me to Wegovy, too. I am not against companies making money off their work. I do resent this current trend to get people used to a product and then make it worse/charge them more because you think you’ve got them helplessly locked in. (I am moving off Netflix because I am so pissed off at paying for their damned ads!)

PutThe · 09/09/2025 11:36

It's also just maths.

My next dose will be the lowest. There's about £45 a month difference with my provider, but that's currently for 5 doses with MJ and 4 with Wegovy. So the weekly cost difference isn't much. It came down to the faff of swapping vs the greater reassurance of being with a non-US provider, and the status quo was winning out by default. Whereas the finances are going to be more significant soon. I don't think that would be enough to move me by itself, but in combination with better future proofing it might be.

SENsupportplease · 10/09/2025 08:15

Just attempted to join Oushk as a new customer on 15mg, we will see if they accept! Currently have one full pen (5 dose) from juniper and one dose left in my current pen. Getting very worried about being able to afford this

CoverMeInMarmalade · 10/09/2025 09:11

Has anyone watched The Walking Dead. This reminds me of that scene with Rick and Negan: you can up your prices, you can take the 5th dose… I told you, I AM going to titrate slowly off and try to quit you. 😂

Puppylucky · 10/09/2025 09:24

This whole thing, as I've said before, will make a fascinating case study one day. The most recent trend I'm noticing is that the complete collapse in trust for EL to treat customers fairly, is leading to a backlash in terms of non-compliance with the dosing protocol etc. Basically, people seem to be saying if EL can do all this, then I'm no longer going to listen to their directions on how to take MJ. Instead, I'm going to dose myself in the way that suits me / my budget. I wonder how much experience EL actually have of dealing with a patient market that is not managed through a Dr or insurance company, as it seems they are making some really dumb decisions (ie making the pen change public rather than just quietly introducing the new one). I know that the UK market is relatively small for them but they couldn't be doing a better job of killing it stone dead if they tried!

Edited

They probably did intend to make the pen changes quietly, the change was uncovered by a reddit poster who goes by Someguy50 who uncovered the document describing the change to the pen. He and others then wrote to Eli Lilly asking for confirmation and they confirmed this in writing. It was then posted on reddit and picked up by the tabloids who received separate confirmation from EL. Basically, one or two internet sleuths uncovered it (not that the mainstream press will give them credit).

PutThe · 10/09/2025 10:41

Do we know yet when the pen changes will happen? I only have pens ordered in July and August at the mo.

I honestly think they have been a shambles since the price increase.

Puppylucky · 10/09/2025 11:15

But what are EL doing making their internal documents discoverable on the net? I've worked with Pharma companies and they are nothing if not secretive but EL seem to be happy just to let anyone find stuff out. I know the price changes were apparently leaked by an insider but this latest leak is just careless . Again it suggests they have no clue of how to deal with wider consumer interest. If Coke didn't want you to know about a packaging change then you wouldn't!

FurForksSake · 10/09/2025 11:16

I don’t think it was internal documents? It was an available document and it was noticed it had been changed. It was some deep sleuthing but of available documents.
