I just tried Lotus and got to the end before they told me that 10mg is out of stock 😥

popdepop · 03/09/2025 08:17

Pharmacy2U- I ordered a new pen before the price increase and it is now showing as dispatched, on its way. The pending transaction has dissapeared from my bank. Any had similar and know what is happening?

KrankyKumquat · 03/09/2025 10:22

@popdepop
Pending transactions will only be held as 'pending' by banks for, i think, 5 days. The payment will just be activated again by the pharmacy when they're ready to collect it.

Hundredthmillionthdiet · 03/09/2025 12:52

Was just on medicine market place there. For weeks I've struggled to buy 12.5 or 15mg pens. No such issues now, though it's no longer showing stock count.

My guess is everyone's stocked up and not willing to pay the higher prices.

If thats the case, i wonder if the prices Will come down again ?

I'm not sure MMP will be able to lower their prices much, with the rebate scheme the reported price of a 15mg pen wholesale is £247.50, MMP are charging £271. From that they have to cover all their costs (postage, prescribing, running costs) and make a profit. The only way costs would go down further is if EL offer more substantial rebates.

I suspect you're right. At some point they'd need to offload them to ensure they didn't get stuck with them after sell by date, at which time a £50 loss would be better than £150 or whatever. But the pens are long enough lasting that I doubt that'll happen. They'd instead order less going forward.

True but I wonder if im the long term prices will come down if sales reduces ? Especially if everyone jumps ship and starts buying wegovy

FurForksSake · 03/09/2025 13:59

A lot of people will have brought forward their orders and stocked up if they could. So won’t be buying to the usual schedule. I won’t buy in September but pushed an oushk order to October and then will order in December.

QueenOfHiraeth · 03/09/2025 20:05

@NotPerfectlyAdverage I got my Bolt order!
I emailed them after I posted here and they replied quickly saying they would check on it. They then followed up saying they had asked the team to expedite it and to let them know when it arrived or, if I hadn't heard anything within 2 days and today it arrived.
It caused chaos right up until the last minute as Royal Mail sent me messages saying delivery today while their tracker showed tomorrow but I don't care about the chaos now I have it!
If you haven't got yours yet , I recommend emailing them

gimmemounjaro · 03/09/2025 21:14

That’s great news @QueenOfHiraeth - seems like you have been waiting an age!

Only if EL reduce the list price or increase the rebate. The UK is a comparatively tiny market in global terms for them so I won't hold my breath.

Edited because I hit 'send' too soon.

Thanks, just done that now so fingers crossed.

One good thing to come from this is that I had halved, then halved again doses from my 10mg pen to make it last. I'm on holiday with ds so didn't want any side effects. I took 2.5mg on Saturday and have no thoughts of food still but I can eat pretty normally.

I had a apple banana and cereal bar at 8am and had dinner at 9pm without even thinking of food inbetween. We was to busy rushing around. It must be rubbing off on teen ds as normally he's complaining or certain death unless he eats every few hours!

I had my first though of foods I miss whilst on holiday too. Marmite and butter on toast then. Then thought "oh that butter would make me ill" 😄

Orangesandlemons77 · 05/09/2025 10:46

I have also reduced dose to 5mg from being in 15mg a few months ago and it seems to be going OK. A bit more enjoyment of food (could hardly face anything on 15mg) but not rampant hunger,

I'm also taking it from a higher dose pen and thinking of continuing this for cost reasons. Might result in a bit of a stockpile though, but I will deal with that when it comes to it.

Extremely stressed with medexpress. I ordered on the 20th August and still awaiting clinical review, I’ve had numerous emails with them all promising my order and still nothing. I’m supposed to inject today. I don’t know what to do

Call them. My friend was in the same boat and, after 30 minutes on hold, they expedited her approval and she received it next day. This was a few days ago, she ordered on 15th.

Pepperama · 06/09/2025 09:07

I just got my MedExpress one yesterday, ordered a day before yours so should be very soon - but yes do ring if you’ve run out

What did you order? I ordered 2.5 on 20th and 5 on 28th and got both of them early this week. I would contact them.

Sux2buthen · 06/09/2025 09:28

Thanks all I will try that

Maaate · 06/09/2025 19:57

I'm thinking of cancelling my MedExpress order as I managed to get a pen elsewhere but their website says they will only give account credit - surely I'm entitled to have my money back as I've not received anything from them yet?

Sux2buthen · 06/09/2025 22:13

They did offer me a refund earlier amongst a lot of indignant rudeness, not from my end.
ultimately my order has now been dispatched since then, what are the chances

They tried that with me. I cited the pharmacy regulator complaints system and they gave me a proper refund quite quickly. They were a bit snippy really, is why I switched to another pharmacist. Am not paying someone to be a dick to me.

Sux2buthen · 07/09/2025 08:58

I told them that my issue had supposedly been escalated several days previously and she said ‘yes but so have hundreds of others. We can look at it and say ooh Suxs order isn’t prescribed we must do hers’
it was the tone she was using as well. Now I understand their phones must be going mad but it’s not my fault, I did everything right so I expect to be spoken to as the paying customer I am. It got prescribed straight afterwards so maybe caught her at a bad moment

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2025 09:28

Difficulty getting a A refund from cruate

I ordered it middle of August when everything kicked off by beginning of September still nothing

on the dashboard still hadn’t been approved at which time I had four other pens from other suppliers quite easily including Juniper who are very good and quick

I have emailed them many times to ask for a refund because my order has not been processed

they then immediately rang me which I ignored because they are trying to make me approve the order which I do not want approved.

Again, I emailed them stating that I was waiting over three weeks for the order to be approved and I wanted it cancelled and under the t&c because the order hasn’t been approved or dispatched I could cancel.

Totally ignored by them.

I have now complained via my credit card and disputed it and asked for a refund via my credit card

NotPerfectlyAdverage · 08/09/2025 14:07

My Bolt pen came yesterday so I'm all caught up now

I did think things would be a mess for a week or so after the 1st.

Presumably it will go back to normal very soon as people either have a few pens now or come off all together and move to Weygovy.

After waiting 3.5 weeks for my bolt pen I had no choice but to try other suppliers so I do have a stash of pens now. I won't have to order another pen for a while now.

The entire thing has been a real eye opener and stressful.

KrankyKumquat · 08/09/2025 17:12

No more 5th dose confirmed.
