Thank you, I’ve ordered some!

lighteningthequeen · 31/08/2025 19:28

Medexpress have just dispatched my 10.5 pen I ordered on 21st. A couple of days ago they emailed to say they had no stock so im really relieved. I have one full one in the fridge I’m about to start so at least I get a couple of months before having to pay the increased price!!

HappyWineDay · 31/08/2025 19:36

Just had an email from Medicine Marketplace saying pens were back in stock. Excellent I thought, I can finally buy a pen before the prices go up tomorrow!
No such luck. It turns out that they had a notice on their website saying the new prices applied from 7pm on the 31st.
Funny how they managed to suddenly find stock a few minutes later…

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 31/08/2025 19:39

Such a relief isn't it, @lighteningthequeen? Finally heard from Lotus and apparently my order from 18th is finally on its way. Phew! Is anyone still waiting for orders from back then?

FurForksSake · 31/08/2025 19:40

I’ve had my oushk, but I moved one order of two to October, I’m hoping that goes through safely and at the non September price as agreed. I’ve paid using Klarna so assume price is locked in.

QueenOfHiraeth · 31/08/2025 19:43

I have had no word at all regarding my 12.5mg pen from Bolt. A friend ordered a couple of hours before I did and received hers a few days ago but mine still says "delayed" so I'm waiting to see what happens next.

They've had £175 of my money for over 2 weeks now and I'm beginning to lose hope...

The point I was making about the behaviour of the online pharmacies, was less about how lax or otherwise, they have been in allowing multiple purchases etc, it was more about some questionable marketing practices. SheMed positioned themselves as a medical research company, studying the impact of MJ on women's weight and health, to get people to sign up long term, only to completely drop any pretence at scientific rigour following the price increase, by offering everyone the option to move to Wegovy or pay some of the steepest prices on the market to continue on MJ. There is a thread on here with angry and confused people, who genuinely believed they were part of an exclusive group, who would somehow be protected from market price increases by dint of being part of a serious study. Oushk have created a social media led experience around a prescription only medicine, complete with fun TikToks and a members only club. These are not the ways in which serious pharmacy players should be conducting themselves and it's this I believe should be regulated - not patient access particularly.

Edited

I agree with this. It’s a medicine that needs to be prescribed at a dose that best suits the individual, their progress and their circumstances. It’s not a club. I’ve posted previously about my concerns that people are being pushed to higher doses than they need despite experiencing side effects and have to say this smacks of a desire for profit and not optimum patient care.

Many of us who are fortunate enough to be able to consider private WLI are working and so welcome the convenience of online pharmacies. But that convenience shouldn’t mean substandard or dangerous services. We are all entitled to safe care.

I emailed saying I thought there must have been an error as other orders placed considerably later had arrived with other customers, @QueenOfHiraeth, and asked them to check. They eventually replied saying they'd issued it that day, so I don't think I would have got it without querying.

Anyone manage to cancel Juniper? I keep getting AI responses asking me to complete a form, which I do, and then it sends me yet another email saying I need to fill in the same form!!

Thank you, I have emailed Bolt asking them to clarify what is happening but they have taken a while to answer hen I have messaged before. My friend did order a couple of hours before me so I don't know anyone who ordered that strength later and wonder if the stock ran out between hers and mine. I wonder if I'll just get an email tomorrow saying new stock arrived, do I want to pay extra or cancel...

It's a good job I have a pen that arrived about a week before this all happened that I will start tomorrow so I'm not going to run out and will, hopefully, have time to get another before next needed.

I'm usually with SwiftDoctor and plan to stay with them as, despite running out of stock like many other small suppliers, they have been amazing with communications and trying to do the best for their regular patients.

Are you doing it through the app? If not, you probably need to download the app to cancel.

No, I downloaded it but it wanted me to answer all the questions again about why I want to lose weight and what my start/goal etc was and I couldn’t be bothered when all I wanted was to cancel!

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 31/08/2025 21:48

🤞 @QueenOfHiraeth.

I don't think I did anything extra when I downloaded the app @MissMogs. I just joined to get the pen, then cancelled. I can't remember how I did it though, sorry. But I don't recall it being difficult.

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/08/2025 22:07

FoxRedPuppy · 31/08/2025 14:53

I don’t do the 5th dose and I’m currently on 5mg and the price increase is a lot, especially if I need to go to 7.5mg

Why on earth not ?

FoxRedPuppy · 31/08/2025 22:12

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/08/2025 22:07

Why on earth not ?

I explained further up. Buying the needles overwhelmed me. It sounds utterly ridiculous I know. But it happens to me sometimes.

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 31/08/2025 23:07

That is totally the sort of thing I get stuck on too, @FoxRedPuppy. Now you've placed the order it'll probably seem doable?

FurForksSake · 31/08/2025 23:29

I’ve only just started using the golden dose in the last month or two and I’ve been on it a year. Just really daunted me.

VelociraptorsVelociRapping · 01/09/2025 08:19

You don’t have to justify yourself to anyone @FoxRedPuppy. It is daunting to use unfamiliar medical equipment to use a drug contrary to guidance. Good luck Flowers

myladyjane · 01/09/2025 08:22

Oh @MissMogs I was just about to start a thread on this. Yes - I have done that bloody form 3 times now. And cancelled via the app. Firstly I got a message saying I couldn’t cancel as my order was in transit (it had been delivered but on Saturday night so i’ll
let them off ). Then did it again following the link they told me to use and they sent another email saying they’d like me to talk to someone but if I didn’t want to I have to let them know by completing yes, you’ve guessed it, the same form.

like a fair few I imagine I only signed up because it looked like my usual supplier were going to cancel and they had stock. So my own fault for panicking but I checked repeatedly it was cancel any time so not impressed and it’s put me right off them,

BendoftheBeginning · 01/09/2025 08:25

I’m with you, @FoxRedPuppy - have been on the jabs for around 8 months but haven’t messed around with the golden dose, or done any pharmacy-hopping, or stockpiled anything, because I could afford the prices as they were and I was following the official guidance! The only reason for me to take up the golden dose now is because my last few pens are going to be so expensive I am going to eke out every last bit of medication. And then I will be looking hard at Wegovy for maintenance.

Doggymummar · 01/09/2025 09:09

I've been on for two and a half years and never used the extra liquid. Each to their own and all that. I did start using it about six months ago and it hasn't killed me, so I will be looking at micro dosing going forward I refuse to pay more than I was £175 for 15 mg so I will be working out how to do that.

It’s so annoying isn’t it! Before this I would have said they were the best of the pharmacies I’ve dealt with, and if the pricing wasn’t such a problem I would have liked to have stuck with them! But I cannot stand automated AI bots!!

They have been appalling as far asi am concerned and i only joined to get the higher dose . Still not got it and was told lie after lie about being dispatched .
They take days to answer , thats if you do .
The app is useless as well.
I will be cancelling later today if it doesnt get dispatched today.
If it does will be cancelling when i get it.
Its been a bad experience for me with them
