I think I’ve made a huge mistake

Please don’t judge me, I’m panicking - I got Ozempic from a friend of a friend and since taking my first dose yesterday, I can’t stop being sick - 1 bout before bed, 2 this morning. The nausea is so bad, I can’t eat. The smell of food makes it worse.

When will it stop? I won’t be taking the second dose next week as I can’t live like this.

I’ve been so stupid.

I’ve had to fill in the forms and supply photos of myself with my name and date written on paper and a photo of me standing on the scales. Still open to abuse no doubt but it certainly isn’t just a 2 minute form.

those photos could be anyone

You have to supply photo ID

You have to supply photo ID

but again it could be anyone, mother, sister, best friend etc

my point is at the end of the day these companies are businesses not medical professionals.Sure they probably employ a few doctors for legal reasons but none of them are looking out for your best interests they just want to sell as much as they can.

But that could be the case even if the gp prescribed.

Just because someone goes in person doesn't mean they aren't giving the medication they are given to someone else.

At some point you have to trust that the person in front of you is telling the truth.

I won’t berate you for getting it privately or being less than the official BMI. But there were other ways to do that. You’ve taken double what you should have taken.

(I’ve also been offered it from a pharmacist who provides my beauty tech with her Botox. I know the product would be official. But I think I’d risk being in your situation too)

I hope you feel better. Don’t know if I’d go to the hospital or not. You need to decide. But I think you are going to feel pretty rubbish for a few days.

i’d trust a family gp that i have been with since a baby rather than an internet company that’s been around for a few months/years trying to exploit a trend

You have a family GP who has cared for you since you were a baby? Where do you live, 1973?

BoldRed · 13/05/2025 08:38

What’s your BMI OP & what medical condition/s do you have? You can be prescribed Mounjaro if your BMI is 27+ and you have eg high blood pressure or cholesterol, t2 diabetes, pre diabetes, sleep apnea and some prescribe for painful arthritic joints. Did your friend of a friend’s business issue you with a prescription? O.5 is a high starting dose. Did they not offer you anti nausea meds?
