Mounjaro where to buy?

Hi all,

After a lot of consideration I have decided I really want to give this a go. I'm the heaviest I have ever been, heavier even than in my pregnancies. So unhappy with myself.

The only real thing I'm struggling with is knowing where's best to order from? Where are those already using it, buying it?

Thank you

Yes while I'm with you @Verlaine in that there's no need to stay with one supplier, it wouldn’t add up to thousands difference at all - maybe £300-400 across a year.

I think it's a measure of how loyal to the cult brand you are though if you're SO dedicated you'll stick with Oushk no matter what.. Wink

Pegsmum · 08/02/2025 18:34

@Ssmiler Gosh no I’m not aware of any delays-that’s really unusual for them isn’t it? Fingers crossed it gets sent out to you soon.

@bernadetteo there’s absolutely no issue swapping with a lower BMI as long as you can show previous prescriptions.

Sticking with one supplier willl cost hundreds of pounds more - even thousands over a year

That's great, but I'm still very wary of the upcoming changes and the possibility of further tightening of prescriptions.

I don't think the cost of sticking with one provider is going to run into thousands more, a few hundred maybe? I'm more concerned about the longer term impact that we don't know about than any financial saving though.

Edited

Not particularly loyal to the cult/brand, I didn't even name the supplier until I was asked. I'm just really bloody scared of getting to a good place and then struggling to get maintenance. None of us have any idea what's going to happen in a few months time so I'm just being cautious.

@Pegsmum Yes it’s very unusual. Thanks for replying - since it seems to be just me I have emailed them now so I will see if I get a reply on Monday.

@85reasons I’m on 10mg now and I’m saving about £80 a month swapping around so just under £1000 over a year.

So not 'thousands' then.

85reasons · 09/02/2025 13:23

@Verlaine Same as me on 10mg then - and from Oushk the difference between them and the ‘cheapest’ for 10mg is less than £10 once you factor in the postage cost. According to monj.co.uk the cheapest for 10mg is Medicine Market Place at £125 plus £10 delivery. I’m paying £143 with free delivery from Oushk. Not worth switching for me with that small difference.

Verlaine · 09/02/2025 17:55

Correct @bernadetteo when I worked it out it was about £1000. You seem narked about something 🤔

Verlaine · 09/02/2025 17:57

@85reasons do you have a discount to get that price - when I just looked 10mg is £170

I'm not narked because i pointed out the difference between 'thousands' and 'under a thousand'.

I have nothing against people changing pharmacies, I not sure why anyone is bothered that I raised a potential future issue. Of course it might it happen, but it's ok to consider things all the same. I changed pharmacies several times for a saving, but there is a limit to how often you can do this and settling on a place who does maintenance just seems sensible to me.

why is there a limit?

Because there are not infinite pharmacies, particularly reputable places ones.

Verlaine · 09/02/2025 19:51

@bernadetteo I’ve just gone back to ones I’ve used before with a new email. They don’t seem to notice

Snozzlemaid · 09/02/2025 19:59

You can go back and order from pharmacies you've used before, as long as you have proof of your most recent prescription you've got from elsewhere.
I've done this plenty of times if I see one I've used previously has a good deal on. I've just used my existing account no problem.

When I get near to maintenance I will make a decision who to stick with but for now I'll continue to seek out the best price for each pen to save myself a few 'hundred' pounds.

fearfulexchange · 09/02/2025 20:29

Does anyone use Lloyds doctor online?
I was getting my through them for a few months and now I can't access the site. I requested a prescription from Superdrug online and they've refused me and acknowledged that I'd already been on the treatment 🤷🏻‍♀️ I'm really confused and a bit worried because I've got two stone to hit my target weight.

Yes - I’m nearing BMI of 25 now so am using their 15% off maintenance plan codes. I have been like you in the past and flip flopped between providers for lowest price (although refused to use any pharmacies that gave out referral codes). I’ve found IQ Doctor to be the cheapest outside of that for the doses I’ve been on (7.5mg and 10mg with them). I have thought that if I end up needing to go up to 15mg I would perhaps look into Medicine Market Place as their 15mg price is very good.

I also think it’s such a rapidly evolving market who knows what will be attractive in a few months time. I can see more pharmacies realising that they need to offer competitive maintenance products and perhaps be more open to people buying several pens at a time. Not to mention newer more convenient forms of GLP-1 which will no doubt emerge.

Verlaine · 09/02/2025 21:36

@85reasons thanks for the info - and yes, I’ve heard they’re trialling tablets

StayingHealthy · 09/02/2025 21:47

Medexpress have been good for me, but now I'm up to 7.5mg it's getting too expensive so might switch suplier next month.....

SilenceInside · 09/02/2025 22:17

@fearfulexchange do you have a technical problem with accessing Lloyds website? Just wondering as it's working fine for me.

Copperoliverbear · 09/02/2025 22:31

Don't do it my cousin is currently in hospital due to taking this and now will be on medication and a strict diet for the rest of her life, it has given her pancreatitis. ( confirmed by the drs it is actually the medication's fault)

BookishType · 09/02/2025 22:53

Pancreatitis is a very rare side effect. Much less than 1 per cent.

For the vast majority of users, mounjaro is very safe and efficacious.

@SilenceInside do you have an account and able to login?
I seem to be able to access the site but when I select weight loss I get taken to a dead webpage.
They've emailed me with links and they don't work.
I was given a number to call but it is an ultimated recording and couldn't get any where. I just thought I'd go else where but now that Superdrug has refused me I'm so upset.

SilenceInside · 10/02/2025 07:43

@fearfulexchange ah sorry, no I don't have an account with them. I would just try one of the other suppliers, particularly the ones that seem to be a bit more customised in how they make decisions. Oushk is one that people mention a lot.
