Mounjaro where to buy?

Hi all,

After a lot of consideration I have decided I really want to give this a go. I'm the heaviest I have ever been, heavier even than in my pregnancies. So unhappy with myself.

The only real thing I'm struggling with is knowing where's best to order from? Where are those already using it, buying it?

Thank you

I've used 4 suppliers - i swap around to get best price, Voy - my most recent have been the best - you get coaching and aftercare and the packaging is like opening a present. If you would like a referral code, please PM me.

MedExpress also offer a discount for referrals, I'm getting a little irritated with the deluge of those. ;-)

Theres a website that does price comparison - search 'mouj' which will give you best price.

It's been a life changing decision for me - I wish you well on it.

SilenceInside · 17/12/2024 14:42

Have a look at this comparison website. All the pharmacies are GPhC registered on the list, and you can compare the prices for the pens with or without discounts.

https://monj.co.uk/

Some prescribers offer coaching, dedicated apps and/or a subscription model (eg Voy, Numan, Juniper I think) where you are automatically sent the next month's prescription unless you actively decide to change the order. Most simply remind you when it's time to re-order. All should be contactable if you have a question about the medication. Some offer referral codes to build up discounts if you can persuade enough people to sign up using your code.

I'm currently using Asda Online Pharmacy, as they are very quick and reliable, although not the cheapest they are not the most expensive. I don't want coaching or an app, or a subscription model, so Asda suits me.

WeAllHaveWings · 17/12/2024 15:15

Look on the website Silence has linked and pick from there.

For my first supplier I chose ZAVA as they were one of the cheapest and I didn't feel I needed additional support (although looking at the threads here, many of the more expensive providers promise it but don't deliver!)

I subsequently changed to Oushk, slightly higher price, mainly because I wanted to be able to state my delivery date (a day I WFH) and courier (RM is rubbish here, I could choose DPD instead) so I could make sure I was home to put it straight in the fridge (ZAVA only allowed me to order not state a date so it could arrive any day). They seem to have good customer service, but I haven't had any issues for last 4 orders, other than me requesting a change of delivery dates, so I haven't had to test it. Other providers might allow you to choose a delivery date, but I haven't used them.

Try looking at trust pilot reviews and/or the pharmacies facebook pages to see if people are happy with them.

If you want referral codes pick one from the referral code thread rather than from posters who will spam you to keep it fair (not mine as it is a ZAVA code and I don't use them/referral codes anymore!)

Appreciate everyone experiences suppliers differently. Voy have been dreadful for me. Apart from expensive, their website & app crash regularly. Their customer services is appalling; nobody available over a weekend other than an AI bot. I was on hold for customer support for over 10 minutes last week before I gave up. The Coaching service is laughable - one condescending Zoom call and a WhatsApp message.

I've switched to chequp.com, same verification process and thus far excellent customer service and less expensive - don't need to be paying to "open a present!". As I'm self sufficient and level headed I don't feel I need a coach.

So far 100% happy with Mournjaro - zero side effects, lost over 1st in 5 weeks and feeling great.

Good luck QueenBarbs

QueenBarbs · 17/12/2024 17:15

Thank you all for the tips. I will have a look at those mentioned. I've seen so many places offering it, I was worried I'd get it from somewhere that shouldn't be trusted.

oh that sounds rubbish @HCHQ - sorry you had a bad experience with them.

I've gone to them for my 7.5, so the coaching is neither here or there for me - plus I've been yo-yoing all my life so all the nutritional advice etc is alreday deeply ingrained. They were good in terms of swapping over, but I've learned to keep my boxes to prove prescription, so it was fairly seamless.

I'll most likely swap again to go up to 10 ( I am fickle and cheap) PillSorted were OK - IQ doctor wanted more proof and took a while to prescribe. Packaging wise, MedExpress and Voy had best insulation, sharps boxes etc IQ Doctor supplied 5 needles ( almost as if they expect you to take the additional dose.)Pillsorted didn't supply wipes.

Hope helpful OP. :-)

IReallyNeedThisToWork · 17/12/2024 17:27

@QueenBarbs have a look at the website Silence has linked and read some of the pharmacy websites then think about what sort of service you are looking for.

I started out with a full service company (Voy) but never managed to use a coach or anything as it was impossible to book a session. There are pharmacies that simply provide the medication and then there are others that are a bit of a mid-way between the two.

For many, price is the deciding factor whereas others want coaches, choice of dates for delivery, ability to collect, known brand name, good maintenance service etc so we all have our own reasons for choosing where we settle Good luck!

AnneinEdinburgh · 17/12/2024 17:45

Medexpress don't ask you which day you want delivery and use Roya Mail. Packaging to keep cool is good. I stayed in and of course the drugs didn't arrive on the guaranteed day and not till after the weekend. They were still ok to use having 'thawed' for 30 days and MedEx gave me a full refund too

unsync · 17/12/2024 18:06

Asda is good. You can choose to pickup from your nearest Asda in-store pharmacy which removes the delivery issues.

BookishType · 17/12/2024 18:08

I get mine from Zava. I don’t know if it’s a good price or not as I’m too lazy to shop around. The service is very good and prompt.

Puppylucky · 17/12/2024 18:18

I use Simple Pharmacy as I was already familiar with them from other online purchases. Ordering and delivery have all been fine . My only slight niggle was that they tried to push me up from 7.5 to 10 before I was ready by implying that they weren't prepared to provide me with a further 7.5 dose. It was all quickly resolved with a phone call but it shouldn't really have been an issue. I put it down to over zealous individual prescribers.

LL99887 · 17/12/2024 18:19

I started with Voy a couple of weeks go, they were fine and I had a support session with one of the counsellors.

But I asked for some advice Friday PM - and am still waiting for her to respond. Not impressed tbh.

I also asked them to do a price comparison thing, they wont. So have gone with Med Express for my next pen. Only £113.94 inc p and p

lovealongbath · 17/12/2024 18:52

Med express for me, I’m happy so far with the service.
used discount codes for first order, it cost £113
and deal on second order, it cost £96
I have lost 1 stone in 4 weeks,
good luck.

Southwest12 · 17/12/2024 19:04

I've seen an advert on FB today for a company called Shemed. They are running their own research study so there is a set price of £99 a month, doesn't change as the dose goes up. Only for eligible people who aren't already on GLP1s, there's a £49 consultation fee that includes blood tests. Might be worth looking into.

I use Zava and haven't had any problems. The last two times I've ordered two pens at once and they've come next day before 1pm delivery rather than the normal 24 hours service.

I would be cautious of this, what happens if you don't get on with it? Are you still tied in for a year?

Oushk is brilliant- although they don't coach they do lots of online seminars and answer questions and are just a lovely team. There is a very supportive FB group too- I wouldn't go anywhere else

LicketySplitz · 06/02/2025 11:16

Hi,
I am considering starting on this as I simply am so miserable with my weight. Price is a massive factor for me so I would be looking to change pharmacies for each dose if necessary. I just don't know how this would work. Hopefully you will lose weight so how does it work that you can swap to other pharmacies? Do you need a new prescription every time or is your original used?
Thanks for your help.

SilenceInside · 06/02/2025 11:25

@LicketySplitz if you want to change pharmacies, you just complete their online consultation form as a new customer. One of the questions will be whether you are currently taking a weight loss injection. You then say yes to that and you are then asked which one and what dose. You will be asked to upload evidence of your previous prescription, eg a photo of the medication box showing the dosage and your name. You will usually be asked to upload photos of your figure, and enter your weight and height. The pharmacy will then review and approve your request, and issue you with a new prescription for the dose that you want.

Losing weight would only be an issue when your BMI is down to the healthy range, but even then, being able to show a history of prescriptions should be enough get approved. As long as your BMI is not heading towards underweight.

DarkForces · 08/02/2025 08:44

I use Ashcroft and find them great. Reasonably priced, straightforward process. I just upload a photo with date each month, update my weight and waste measurements one morning and it arrives with syringes and wipes before 1pm the next day.

1415isgreat · 08/02/2025 08:46

I use e-surgery and each time there is a code return15 and if you use quidco for cashback, I go through them first. close to £10 cachback on purchases.

Pegsmum · 08/02/2025 10:06

I’ve used Cloud Pharmacy from the beginning and found them to be excellent. I have stopped checking prices because I’m not intending to move from them but they were competitive when I started.

Elsvieta · 08/02/2025 10:09

Does anyone know when the new rules come in, as in you have to have proof of your weight and they have to notify your GP etc? (As per news story a few days ago).

Daftlass88 · 08/02/2025 10:15

Does anyone know of any companies that don't require a proof of identity such as a passport (mine has expired) or a driving licence (I don't drive)? I don't want to commit to a particular one each month nor take on any consultations. I'm more than capable of overseeing it myself and just want to get on with it - by myself. Anybody else the same?

Morecoffeeforme · 08/02/2025 10:15

I’ve found MedExpress really good. Can send you a referral code if you’d like?
