Still going with around a pound a week - I’ll take that. I am feeling more interested in snacking but there is definite willpower being involved now as I’d like to stay on as low a dose as possible.

I’ve seen people have but there is usually a medical reason (like diabetes or high blood pressure) in that case. Also, some pharmacies won’t prescribe even in those circumstances. If you had been on different weight loss medication immediately previously, and can prove it, they are likely to prescribe but different pharmacies have different application processes and I get the impression that some are making it difficult for people to be approved as a means of preventing their stocks running out.

Thank you @BreezyPeer Mounjaro has such different effects on people but I’ve been lucky I suppose. I’ve had very few side effects and my suppression has only been to not want to snack so much - and my snacking could well have been 500 or more calories a day adding up to a pound or so a week. If I had better willpower I could try to do this without MJ but dieting has always been a bit miserable for me as I’m constantly thinking about food. The way I see it now, if I stay on a low dose, it should be easier to maintain afterwards, and also it’s easier to hide from my DP who still doesn’t know I’m doing this as he sees me eat the same things that I always did - minus the biscuits 😀

I’m in awe of those people who are continuing in spite of the side effects. Some people have it very hard.

Best loss in a while for me. I am due to go away next week so, to avoid travelling with the jab I am moving the injection day slightly and also I have reduced the dose slightly. I am going to a foodie place and I do want to be able to try the delicacies!

Another 1lb off, and not quite sure how I managed it given we were away over the weekend and alcohol, fatty food, ice cream, and cake were all on the menu. However, I was active all week, and my choices before we went away were good so the weekend blow out didn’t have such a bad effect.

I’ve also delayed my injection by another day, partly as DP is going away and routine will go out the window. This has been a time when my snacking has got a bit out of hand (that packet of 6 Magnums in the freezer just calling my name???) however, most temptations like that aren’t in the cupboards any more and I’m currently more likely to reach for a protein yoghurt or kiwi fruit. Wish me luck 🤞

I get a bit confused by what weight I should be measuring against. I’m also awful at mental arithmetic so I’m usually relying on two apps to give me the right figures.

I’m still in the early days. Not counting calories but have cut out UPFs & carbs except fruit & veg, trying to get as much protein in as poss and weight training 3x a week. I do think I probably need to up my calories though, estimating I’m probably only eating around 800 a day

I was nervous to take 5 in one go as I just can't deal with being sick right now, I have alot going on, so 2.5 is giving me good suppression and no side effects but wears out after 3 or 4 days, so doing a 2nd 2.5 mid week is working well so far.
I'm hoping I will only need one more pen as my plan was to do 12 weeks. (Just started 2nd pen)

I know your post is ancient! But I think the thread’s still going so hopefully you’re still around! Just wondering if you continued with the 2.5mg in the middle of the week rather than jumping up to 5 straightaway? And if it continued working for you? I’m due to start 5 and worried about side effects so you’ve given me a good idea. And how did your weight loss go overall if you feel like sharing?

It probably depends on what weight you were to start with, and how you hold your weight but I moved from a size 18 to a size 16 jeans in about 20lbs, and a size 14 with a muffin top in about 26lbs. I’ve not bought any smaller tops or dresses because I’ve got loads in the wardrobe and can get away with them being a bit big, but my trousers falling down is not a good look 😀

I lost about 1.5 st before clothes was baggy . Now at 2,5 st loss I lost 2 - 3 dress sizes but not bought anything new except underwear as rather do a shopping spree later (I’m only half way) . At 2.5 st I started getting back pain from too big bra and knickers were falling off. Went from 42d to 38c and 2 (in reality 3) sizes down in knickers (like them big 🫣)

I’m an apple always been and feel I lost the most chest arms and thighs (I now can cross my legs which is a testament)

I’m have lost over three and a half stone and have gone from a size 14/16 to a size 8/10.

i didn’t need to buy new clothes until about two stone in - if I am honest I was squeezing into clothes that were far to tight for me so there was room to lose weight and stick with the same wardrobe.

I have overshot my goal a little. I am investing in a new wardrobe of size 10s, but am probably a size 8. It’s hard to adjust to a new body size and shape. I am not a good judge of what fits well and what looks good becuase I avoided mirrors and clothes shopping for so long

Weirdly, I’ve found that some of my floaty summer trousers with elasticated waists and a tie at the front fit better now that my waist is discernible. I was constantly having to retie them to keep them up when my belly was bigger, but now there’s a natural indent that the elastic can reduce to.
