Starting Mounjaro today!

Myself and my husband have started Mounjaro today.
Making this thread incase anyone wants to join us as new starters today.
Me: 5ft 3 16st 3lb goal weight: 9.8
Husband: 6ft 3, 18st 3, goal weight: 12st
We are really hoping to see a good loss at the beginning, and interested to see what happens to us side effect wise.
Usually when one or other of us is on a diet we end up derailing each other, but we've decided to do this together.
Stocked up on protein shakes, loperamide, anti sickness and gaviscon in case of side effects!

Morning, just took my third injection of the 2.5. So that’s 2 weeks in with a loss of 6.5lbs.

So that a loss of 0 this week for some reason!!

starting the third week today, any tips?

I am very thirsty despite drinking lots of water/tea.

I've just done my 4th jab. Weight loss been steady - 3kg in 3 weeks. I am expecting it to start slowing down. I ordered another 2.5 pen as I've had good suppression and side effects stabilised so I don't see the point going up for now. Maybe the following month, we'll see.

@Timeforicecream this may be a bit TMI but are you constipated? That can be a side effect and can mask any losses a bit. I was for the first two weeks, it eased off by week 3. As did the thirst.

I weighed today and took my 3rd injection yesterday.
A total of 1st 3lb off in 2 weeks!

Hi @Timeforicecream i suppose it depends how much to lose as imagine less to lose will be smaller losses ? Still a really good loss over 3lbs per week. Have you had effective appetite suppression as for some might need to be on the next dose 5mg to be effective ? Think 2.5 dose that just gets body used to it so might not be as effective for some ?

Sorry to be muppet asked on another thread few days ago, but to clarify once pen out of fridge has to be used within 30 days ? I have 1 dose left and 1 ‘extra’ dose so will be used within 2 weeks so should be fine. Is it only once taken out of fridge ? Or from opening day if left in fridge ?

Had 3rd jab Sat lost nearly stone today started to feel hungry first time in ages ! Not been snacking at all but Had a milky coffee and fun size maltesers but not felt like anything like that before. Been stressed with work and hormone stuff so usual go to would be binge on chocolate etc felt good to have small item and feel satisfied. Hoping I can carry on with my 2.5 and not start feeling like this often as I bought second pen of 2.5. How is everyone else getting on with 2.5 ?

I've just had my third dose and realised I haven't been doing it properly and didn't take enough ! So have now had a proper dose and wow it's really blocked my appetite.

I'd lost about 4lb on the mini 2 x doses I'd had so that was ok but I've lost 2lb in 2 days since the proper dose.

It's helping me so much make good choices. We had chicken burgers for dinner last night.. didn't even want the bread. Chose a diet coke over wine last night.

I've got another stone to go and feel so positive ☺️
