Well done for the losing Witte. There must be something that helps with the skin.

PrimalLass · 10/04/2024 14:39

Blimey. I've been thinking that this wasn't working at all but just went out for a light lunch and didn't want a single thing on the menu.

I’ve been finding that too. I’m only in week 1 but already I just don’t fancy any of the food I have in the house. Went food shopping and didn’t fancy any of it either. I am hungry though. So weird.

Eversohopeful · 10/04/2024 17:07

good afternoon, how's is everyone getting on?

Has anyone noticed inch loss more than weight loss on the scales? I seem to carry a lot of water weight and have a lot of trouble shifting this, any ideas would be massively appreciated?

Start my injections tonight, extremely nervous but have been advised the nausea can be related to food eaten so avoid certain foods/drinks, same with the diarrhea :)

PrimalLass · 10/04/2024 17:10

I've had no nausea

AhBiscuits · 10/04/2024 17:42

My nausea is triggered by

  1. Too much fat
  2. Too much food
OP posts:
AhBiscuits · 10/04/2024 17:43

3.Alcohol

OP posts:
PrimalLass · 10/04/2024 18:23

I keep waiting to go off alcohol.
Hopefully going up a dose will do it.

timegoesbysoso · 10/04/2024 21:05

Right, this fatigue is getting ridiculous now. I'm wanting to lie down all the time. Hoping to lose another stone to get to goal weight/BMI but seriously wondering if I can continue.

I'm due to go up to 1.7mg next week but I'd imagine the fatigue will increase even more!

Anyone else like this?

🥱💤

PrimalLass · 10/04/2024 21:12

Thankfully not - maybe a day or so. I'm definitely more tired but not like that.

anoldcharter · 11/04/2024 08:15

Yes @timegoesbysoso fatigue has been an issue with me from the start. I'm staying on 1mg for another month as can't cope with an increase in tiredness levels and nausea. Do you have to go up a dose yet?

AhBiscuits · 11/04/2024 10:06

I put the kids to bed and am asleep on the sofa by 9. I can't wait to stop and see if my energy picks up. Is it the Wegovy or is this just what it's like being in calorie deficit for 5 months? Is my body fighting back and trying to conserve energy?

OP posts:
DamnItBetsy · 11/04/2024 14:22

@AhBiscuits has the exhaustion been constant throughout? Or has it built as you’ve gone on? I’m putting off my second injection to tomorrow so that I can sleep through the exhaustion on Saturday. After my first injection I was wiped the next day.

AhBiscuits · 11/04/2024 18:15

It's probably worse in the first few days but always there to some degree.
I don't get enough sleep and have a stressful job and two small children. So it's not all the drug.

It's mad but I hadn't thought of it like this before now, I'd just assumed it was a side effect of the medication! It does make sense that it could well be this. I'm a bit daunted by the prospect of feeling like this, and worse, for about a year tbh

TB1234 · 11/04/2024 22:40

Hi!

Has anyone travelled on a plane with their Wegovy pen?

I'm due to go to Mexico (so a long flight). Was planning on taking it in my hand luggage (with a copy of the letter). But concerned about it having to be kept in a fridge, if it's out of a fridge for potentially over 15 hours!

Thanks in advance ☺️

AhBiscuits · 12/04/2024 06:51

Weigh in day. Another 0.8lbs off. I'm pleased that I've kept losing over Easter, even though its been tiny amounts, as we've been away a lot and there's been takeaways and meals out. Kids back at school Monday and back to routine.

SW: 13st 7 8
CW: 11st 1.8
GW: 10st 6
Lost: 34lbs
To go: 9.8lbs

I'm on my last pen, which I am dragging out for 7 weeks. Will it get me to goal? Hopefully there or thereabouts. I plan to stick to the same routine once it's finished so hopefully I can lose the last couple of lbs on my own if necessary.

Just come back from the USA (Florida) but since starting have also been to Capetown with it. I took my pen in my hand luggage in its original packing so it had my name on it and had no issues at all. It only needs to be kept fully refrigerated until it’s opened and the ones I took only had 2 doses left in it which was the right amount for my holiday. Once I was in the hotel I did then keep it in the fridge.

I wasn’t asked about it at all but neither have I ever been asked about the other prescription medicines I take. I always think I’ve always got my NHS App on my phone which contains the letters from Boots to my GP saying it’s prescribed.

I also bought a small travel sharps bin off Amazon to safely dispose of the needles.

Have a lovely holiday

How long has thins taken @AhBiscuits , started on Wednesday, less hungry not that I have much of an appetite at the best of times but I has helped, I feel tired but that is probably more work related, so far so good in no side affects but we will see 🙄

AhBiscuits · 12/04/2024 09:18

It's taken 21 weeks so far, so 1.6lbs per week on average. Not super fast but I'm pleased with the fact that I have lost weight every single week without fail. When losing weight I get really disheartened with gains and plateaus so it's been lovely just steadily chipping away.

AhBiscuits · 12/04/2024 09:21

I feel like my waist is smaller than last time I was at this weight. I tried on a dress this morning and it zips up comfortably with space. I'm sure before I had to be half a stone or so lighter before this dress will zip.
Maybe the all the cycling has added mass to my thighs 😄

Hi everyone! I started Wegovy yesterday. I've been reading this chat and it helped me to feel like I was allowed to want to lose weight. Starting bmi 31.2, bought it from pharmacy 2u.

I just had a cup of coffee and that made me feel sick - although I have to say I'm very very suggestible 😀so it could be imaginary

PinkCaro · 12/04/2024 09:45

@Eversohopeful hi, I started yesterday, so it'll be good to see what happens, eh?💪

AhBiscuits · 12/04/2024 09:57

I definitely went right off coffee early on.

Im eating less and not as bothered by food but my weight doesnt seem to have budged - only week 4 today so not too worried yet. However I feel my stomach is a tiny bit smaller, not enough for anyone else to notice but it just feels different, so Im hopeful!
