I've not been in a good way today 😷
Diarrhoea and all day nausea. I haven't felt like this since I increased a dose, so it's bizarre for it to happen the day after injecting my 11th dose of 1mg.
The only thing I can think of is it's a new pen. Maybe it's somehow stronger or the medication in my old pen had started to weaken in time. Dunno, but I'm not enjoying it 😑

Had my second .5 this morning. Weight stayed the same. But have had some constipation this week so wasn't unexpected.

Still not totally free of the food thoughts. And am still working on making better food choices. But am happy to continue. Had no issues moving up a dose which was a relief.

boatgirl81 · 16/04/2024 20:32

That is not good Ahbiscuits, could it be a bug? I wonder if the dose gets stronger as you lose weight or maybe it's more a more potent pen? Could they have sent the wrong strength by mistake, obviously that would be pretty dodgy of the pharmacy!

anoldcharter · 16/04/2024 21:29

That sounds grim @AhBiscuits hope you feel better soon 💐

Lovesthebeach · 17/04/2024 09:25

@AhBiscuits this was me a few days ago. I think sometimes randomly your body likes to get rid of anything that’s inside it!

@BellyButt well done on your losses. How much more do you want to lose until target? If it’s affecting you that much I would maybe start reducing your dose down, especially if you’re nearly at target anyway?

Lovesthebeach · 17/04/2024 09:28

Just ordered my last (hopefully) 1.0 pen!!
My plan is to do

2 x 1.0
2 x 0.5
4 x 0.25

Going to really focus on eating healthier over next few weeks. Half the time I’m not that hungry to just grab something quick and easy with carbs!

Lovesthebeach · 17/04/2024 09:29

Anyone that uses pharmacy2u. Found a 10% discount code that worked this morning.

This is pretty much exactly what I'm doing too.

I'm planning
2 x 1mg
1 x 0.75mg
1 x 0.5mg
3 x 0.25

Still have a dodgy tummy today but not feeling too bad.

Morning all,

Got to say quite disheartened this morning when I weighed for the first time, no loss, on my first week. I have been a little more active and a lot better with my food barely eaten most days as the hunger is just not there. Not even had biscuits or a bar of choc, is this anyone else's first week experience?

My injection is tonight so going to keep on and hope for the best and do my measurements as well tonight to see if there has been any change at all!! 🤞😢

AhBiscuits · 17/04/2024 12:44

Very early days @Eversohopeful keep at it, the losses will come.

I'm sulking today that still no one, apart from my husband has commented on my loss. I saw my gobby sister in law at the weekend and was convinced I'd get some comments from her. Nope.😒
I've lost 35lbs and am nearly at goal so surely look different?! I put on a cycling jacket today that used to be tight but is now baggy so I'm definitely smaller!!

You’ve got to be joking??? Nobody has said anything about your weight loss???!!! That amount of weight must be very noticeable… I bet all of a sudden everyone will start noticing and you’ll be inundated with compliments.

I’ve found certain friends only noticed when I saw them indoors as it’s been winter and they’ve just seen me with a big coat on lol!

Some people also feel nervous to ask if you’ve lost weight in case you offend??

Also in my experience the odd few are probably jealous and won’t say anything 😬

Lovesthebeach · 17/04/2024 12:49

@Eversohopeful i only lost a couple of ibs in my first few weeks and now I’m at 43 ibs lost and so close to my ultimate dream goal i can almost touch it!!

Just keep doing what you’re doing and all of a sudden the losses add up x

Eversohopeful · 17/04/2024 13:32

Thanks @AhBiscuits and @Lovesthebeach, I will be persistent as I really want to lose the weight I have gained as my security blanket and just want to get back to my old self in so many ways but like they say I doesn't all go on in a week so slowly and steadily will be better I am sure :)

jay55 · 17/04/2024 13:44

@Lovesthebeach that's really motivating to hear. Did it suddenly click in for you?

I know this will be long haul for me but a bit more loss would help motivation

That's good to know as I've been putting it off. It should have been yesterday.

swimmingdory · 17/04/2024 14:55

@Eversohopeful same. I've just done second 0.25 today. No loss last week. No real side effects and can't say the hunger noise is gone. I'm fuller for longer maybe but the hunger noise is the main thing I want. It's still building is my understanding so will give it time and see how we get on.

Lovesthebeach · 17/04/2024 15:57

@jay55 in previous weight loss attempts I would always lose a good few ibs in the first week then it would slow down so much I’d give up after a couple of weeks!

With wegovy I remember being disappointed I hadn’t lost like 1/2 stone in a week as I’d eaten soooo much less than normal.. but as the food noise decreased I found it easier to eat less/make good decisions. The first 4 weeks I can’t remember how much I lost but it was nowhere near what I hoped, then when I moved to 0.5 the losses have been consistently pretty much every week.. I’ve stayed on 1.0 since January as it has worked effectively for me. I was two days late taking it this week and the effect hasn’t worn off.

So short answer is yes I think it just clicks then all of a sudden you realise you’ve lost a stone etc!

Sorry I just gave you a really long answer 😂

I know exactly how you feel. Stick with it and you’ll be lots of ibs down before you know it!

It took almost 40 pounds for anyone except my parents to mention it (they know about wegovy) and then it was a very hesitant 'I know you're not supposed to comment on weight anymore but you've lost loads!'

AhBiscuits · 17/04/2024 17:49

I'm sure that's it, people not wanting to talk about weight. I haven't seen any of my family since losing it, they live a long way away. When I next visit they will all mention it immediately. Maybe I should plan a trip soon 😄

OP posts:
UnicornAndSparkles · 17/04/2024 20:42

I wouldn't ever mention weight loss unless I knew someone was actively trying to lose it, it's just rude otherwise, and you don't know why they've lost weight or whether it's intentional.

So amazing that you've lost so much though @AhBiscuits ! I hope I'll be the same. 4 weeks done and about 6lb lost so far. Upping to 0.5mg tonight.

PrimalLass · 18/04/2024 00:45

Have just jabbed the first 0.5. Today I had both cake and bread and butter - things I've easily avoided for the last few weeks. It's freaked me out a bit how easily I slipped back into that.

PrimalLass · 18/04/2024 00:45

I would normally tell someone they look great without mentioning weight loss specifically.

anoldcharter · 18/04/2024 07:26

If your SIL is anything like mine she would be inwardly seething that you'd lost weight and look great and hell would have to freeze over before she complimented you 🤣🤣🤣 hopefully people will start to mention it soon but that loss must indeed be very noticeable 😁
