Have I chosen the wrong wedding dress?!

I'm having a wedding dress freak out.

I bought this mermaid style wedding dress, at the time I loved it...now I'm looking back on the pictures and panicking that I look fat. The more I Google my body shape (rectangle) - the more the Internet tells me to avoid mermaid dresses.

Honest opinions please on whether you like it or not? Do i look fat? Does it suit me?! Aghhhhh. Thanks x

If you want something over the top I think the little sheer tulle tops that button up the back are pretty. I know its expensive but you get the idea

I would do some alterations over the tummy area, but the rest is exquisite. I love the train. You look lovely.

I think it looks lovely on you 😊

Sorry, I don’t like it. It scrunches at the hips, looks uncomfortable and too tight, and has this weird transparent vibe.

You have the most wonderful figure! Not fat at all!

It's beautiful and the back is stunning. Keep it!

Looks beautiful and I disagree with others and don't think it's too tight, probably just needs pulling down a little at the front.

Please don't put yourself under pressure to lose weight just to fit in a dress. Such an awful, damaging message that society gives to brides.

A seamstress can alter it. Alter the dress, not yourself.

There's almost no seam allowance so it's very hard to add size to a dress like this, so no it can't be made bigger.

But I agree she doesn't need to be under pressure, however most brides do lose weight without trying so it's likely that it will fit given it's only a bit tight.
