So I am getting married soon and I hate hate hate wearing heals because they are so uncomfortable and sore to walk in but I think they are really pretty and are more elegant..

Is it silly to wear trainers under my dress as no one will see my shoes anyway or should I have high heels and trainers with me for later??

Crocs!

My friend didn't want to wear heels for her wedding, she's 5ft 10 but only has size 4 feet and can't balance properly in heels. She wore white Doc Martens and they looked fab!

I got married 2 weeks ago and talked myself out of wearing converse trainers with a block heel - that’s my only regret!

I got married in wedding flip flops 🤣

I got a wedge pair for the ceremony and a flat pair for later. Honestly no one could see them anyway as my dress was to the floor but I was comfortable and that’s all that mattered. They were white with diamantés on them

I think it's a great idea, hey you can purchase some Swarovski Chrystals and a glue gun and bling your trainers up!

I wish I'd worn trainers. I hate heels, always have, so I'm not sure what possessed me to wear them on my wedding day. They've never seen the light of day since. Wear the trainers and splurge on some super lovely ones.

I'm getting married this year and I'm wearing trainers. I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks. I can't wear any other shoes due to having dodgy feet and besides, I want to be comfortable. My mate got married last year in her Doc Martens. Heels seem quite outdated somehow.

My colleague had beautiful custom made floral converse boots. Her 5 year old daughter had matching ones. They looked amazing.
My sister wore white DM's

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in - I am wearing these, Bridal-y but flat.

I am getting married next week and wearing the Geox Jaysen trainers. It's a short dress but they're smart with the right amount of sparkle, soft leather and I can wear them to work in the future. Wore heels most of my life, and my feet pay the price now. With age I've realised how stupid it is that as women we choose to be uncomfortable for no reason. Men would never torture their feet for 'tradition'.

My first wedding, I had the most beautiful pair of heels - they had a chunky heel so thought they'd be comfy. OMG, i was in so much pain, really ruined my mood. I had spent so much money, didn't feel right to not have them in photos. I took them off after the first dance and put on my flats, was a new woman. Never again.
Comfort is everything. Let's be honest, when future generations look at wedding photos, no one is noticing shoes. Just how happy you look.
