Keeling an eye on tesday night into Wednesday

sorry, bit late today - digging out the school!

Met office are clearly pretty concerned about tomorrow night for the SW, and parts of Wales tomorrow night and have a severe weather advisory out

A front is due to cross over the areas concerned. exact extent of snowfall is not known yet and areas around the 'orange' warning areas should also take heed.

it is quite probably I think that the front will bring rain at first, turning to snow, which may be heavy and prolonged. Unfortunately it seems to me to be another of those 'marginal conditions for snow' type event.

if it comes off as the met office are warning it may, there will be significant disruption to travel and quite probably power supply. I would treat it as a 'prepare for the worst but hope for the best' situation.

Apparently we're getting some light snow in Liverpool tomorrow well some say today too. ATM it is very dark so I reckon it's going to rain.

Dark on the Isle of Wight and finally starting to thaw, was supposed to get snow tonight but I think we'll miss it.

just going to have a good look in a mo have been out being a good citizen and clearing the snow from a scary path.

updated warnings particularly for a good part of the SW. Don't be fooled by the initial rain, away from coasts it may well bring heaps of snow.

Reporting in from Pembrokeshire, weather forecasters have it spot on. Blizzards have steadily moved up from the south and now it is snowing more here than it has in the last couple of weeks. Reports are that in the south of the county roads are shutting everywhere, all the schools have been chucked out early and apparently the bad weather in our area won't peak for another hour, we are loving it, now we can see what everyone else has been going on about!

Although now I see on OYBBK's flash warning that Pembs wasn't included, I wonder what it's like in the other counties then?

it does seem to be covering a more extensive area than perhaps first thought. also may well go fruther east in the end too I think.

No snow at the moment in Bristol, nor any in Gloucester despite heavy snow predicted.

Looking closer, although it is hard to tell who really will get snow and who will get rain I think a much larger area ought to be prepared for at least some tonight into tomorrow. Even in the SE/London area and quite central areas

The icy pavements finally vanished overnight here in London - really can't be doing with any more snow.

Somerset - and nothing yet. We'll see.

It certainly feels like snow in E Lodnon. Leaden sky, cooold.

2/3 inches here in the Bridgend Valleys! I need it to stop we have a trip to London planned on Saturday!
