Snow warning for east London and thereabouts

Weve been talking about this area of snow on the long running winter watch thread, but I want to push this one separately (in part because mn have changed their algorithms so that threads over 30 days old wont trend)

It looks like it could cause some chaos as it rotates a little anticlockwise. If you are in London this evening and need to get home tonight please check your transport operator for how they are running.

I live in South East and it has been absolutely chucking it down since about 330!
Absolute carnage on the A roads !
My son has his graduation tomorrow in Leeds and am not confident I will get there . Trains not looking hopeful 😢Am absolutely gutted TBH . Husband and son drove up early pm and I stayed until tomorrow to look after doggie 🤦‍♀️😞

I'm just within M25 Kent/Surrey border and concerned for school run/commute tomorrow.

Been snowing here since 6pm ish and not stopped yet.

Proper snow in north London.

BBC weather was predicting sleet/rain this morning but I knew it was going to snow. It was SO cold and the sky was that heavy, purple colour you often get before it snows.

About 3 inches of snow here on NE London/Essex border. It’s stopped snowing now, but I’m expecting more during the night.

I don’t think the kids will be going to school tomorrow…

FWIW just to add to the fun caused by snow there are probabilities, various, of freezing fog overnight in a lot of the forecasts for most of the airports in the SE UK.

There have already been quite a few cancellations for flights into/out of the likes of Heathrow as a result, so it's a case of check with your airline before travelling, etc etc...
