SNOW DAY!!!! Yeeeeesssss.

Both DS and my school closed. I've dug out my snow boots, furry trapper hat and Yaktrax snowman building here we come.

SE London and only a slight sprinkling here. Doubt the schools will be closed, but there are still people on the local facebook groups going "is X school open"

ok, somthe main snow band is in an EW direction in a stripe roughly measured between Farnham in Surrey to Bicester in Oxfordshire. It doesn't really move from there, instead it just fizzles out gently through the day. Scattered snow showers elsewhere centrally and in the east.

Thank you OYBK for your sterling work. We did get snow in the end (as predicted) but it hasn’t stopped my son’s school from opening despite many closing today. Meanies.

Dusting in East London, don't think we'll have a snow day as headmistress is Welsh and will only close the school for "real snow"!

Noticed there are a few streamers coming from the NE so perhaps those that have missed out, will get something that way.

Snow on the cars and rooftops, but the pavements and roads are clear. A couple of cm at most. Which is pretty much what was forecast.

Oh yes...virgin snow

Well the "loads here" prediction certainly came true! We've got about four inches in our garden and it's still coming down. Whoop!! Kids have been trying to go out and play in it since about six am!

We have a light dusting in Essex but the local wildlife got to the virgin snow first.

Met office still says snow for us all day and heavily all morning. It's not snowing though and radar doesn't show much .

I thought it was just a general happy comment oldsilver!
