I think for many the worst will come in about an hour or so.

DH & I flying into MAN late tomorrow evening - ETA 2330. I know it was closed for a time on Wed morning due to snow - Met Office says dry & cold all day Friday - do you/Gloria Gabe any different information please?

Snowing and settling nw London

It is been carnage here in Cornwall. So many friend stranded at Temple since 4ish still. I've pushed vehicles by us and it is utter gridlock. Just down the hill- nothing!!!

I'm in the South Wales valleys, about 700ft above sea level, and it started snowing at 5ish. We've got at least 5cm already with no sign of it stopping, as usual!!

Don't think our Northern thoughts are working!

Been snowing in calne Wiltshire for 2 hours now. So glad im off work for a week!

Been snowing steadily for about an hour now and everything is covered. I may open one eye in the morning, phone everyone to say we are shut and go back to sleep. If it carries on with this slow and steady fall I can't see us going anywhere. I'm in Bucks but on one of the hilly bits in the Chilterns.

GallicosCats – I’m not far from you and I do believe there’s a phenomenon, either the IoW triangle or the Southampton shield, that means that yet again nothing very interesting has happened here. I keep optimistically looking at the weather reports and graphics, but no matter what it is or where it’s coming from, it swerves or splits around us.

We’ve so far got a smidgeon of a smattering, probably about six snowflakes per hour.

Weirdly, we have very light, wet looking snow at the back of our house and the houses on that side, with a light covering I can still see the grass through, and large flakes settling around 2cm deep at the front.

We have snow!! Real staying on the floor snow. Tyneside. Just looked out the window, we’ve got big fat flakes.

I have just seen a fox walking in the snow, my dream has been released. I have never seen a fox here before. I can rest easy now.

It's ok toto, we are in Bristol after all

Thunder snow in County Durham about an hour ago!

Just woken up and looked-nothing here near Canterbury. :(

Have a cm or two at the look of it, near Camberley, Surrey.
