I have a davis vantage pro 2. It's a very decent bit of kit. Software isn't great so I use a third party bit of software to log my data and display it. But it is very pricey.

TokyoSushi · 19/07/2018 20:55

Oh wow, looks fabulous though!

It is Grin

Delatron · 19/07/2018 23:15

National weather on tv just mentioned a possible 33 degrees for next week.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 20/07/2018 00:08

That seems like a reasonable estimate. Maybe a bit higher.

Thunderstorm warnings out for today. www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings#?date=2018-07-20

Onwhitehorses · 20/07/2018 00:12

It suddenly occurred to me today that this year I've been in temperatures which have 66 degrees between the hottest and the coldest. So have been in -35 in February and + 31 (or maybe even a bit more) this summer!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 20/07/2018 00:14

That's quite a temp range!

SimonBridges · 20/07/2018 07:54

I’d be interested to know which year has seen the highest temperature range in the one place.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 20/07/2018 08:48

In which country Simon, the UK?

BiddyPop · 20/07/2018 08:50

We had 2 loads of laundry, plus DDs sailing gear, on the line overnight and it rained heavily. Life jacket is beside dehumidifier to try and get it a bit dry. 50l taken out of water butt into large pot and watering can, hopefully it will fill later. Drizzly mizzly and cooler start - which is just soooo refreshing!!😎

OhYouBadBadKitten · 20/07/2018 08:58

Nice Biddy!

I've taken to chucking every bowl of washing up water over the garden. We are collecting it from washing hands and everything really.

BiddyPop · 20/07/2018 11:13

We've been resorting to that as well - any water that is not terribly dirty or greasy. And that bowl full that happens waiting for the hot water to reach the kitchen from the tank is another great bonus one.

LapdanceShoeshine · 20/07/2018 12:07

Drizzling in E Lancs right now

LapdanceShoeshine · 20/07/2018 12:10

The NW rain is tracking E & the SE rain is tracking N so looks like lots of places should be getting it today Smile

Have you seen the weather forecast for next week?!
SimonBridges · 20/07/2018 12:45

Yes the U.K. oybk.

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 20/07/2018 14:15

I was sitting by the open back door an hour or so ago, wondering what the funny smell was, then I realised it was the smell of rain, and had to rush outside to bring in the four loads of washing I'd hung out earlier Grin.

First rain here in E Surrey since 29th May (I think), and we still have the forecasted thunderstorm to come.

Ollivander84 · 20/07/2018 16:50

Heavy rain now Lancashire

GloriaSmud · 20/07/2018 17:45

Has rained most of the day here (N. Wales) Having spent the last week driving around the area, I've noticed how brown some of the leaves on the trees are. It's like the Autumn colours have been missed out and the tree's gone from new green leaves straight to dead, brown winter ones.

Hopefully some welcome rain for some today, I'd especially like some to make it's way over to my allotment so that I don't have to make an emergency watering visit when we get back tomorrow!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 20/07/2018 18:46

I'm afraid I don't know Simon, interesting question though.

driest start to summer since records began

no sign of the thunderstorms here today. 50 days, no rain.

Shiteatusernames · 20/07/2018 18:52

I can hear thunder, North Northants here.

WhoKnowsWereTheTimeG0es · 20/07/2018 19:02

We had light drizzle for about 30s here today (Surrey/Hants borders). Humid and overcast all day.

Gloria - I've noticed the trees turning too, there are a lot of brown, curly leaves down already. I also noticed huge conker shells on a tree a couple of days ago, they shouldn't be as big yet.

RachelfromFriends · 20/07/2018 19:05

I was excited about all the Washinh I could get done and just seen it's raining most of next week for me

Delatron · 20/07/2018 19:18

Our 80% chance of rain tonight has just vanished. Now no rain forecast until next Sunday and I guess that can’t be accurate.
It’s so dry everywhere. I do miss my lawn!

LighthouseSouth · 20/07/2018 19:25

and.....the sun has come out from behind the clouds, all rays blazing.

soooo..... DP has started batch cooking so no cooking for next week. I'm going to stay with you here and keep him company.
