Thats a technical term dont you know.

Just looked at the latest gfs. ermm. 30C is shown for Saturday. Potential for some decent thunderstorms too. It looks to start warming up on thursday. Cooler on Sunday.

Going to be quite a shock after the cool run we've had if it actually happens. I'm not sure it will tbh.

I am bereft! And about to turn the heating on. It's sodding freezing.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/06/2015 11:48

however.... gfs is doing a little tease for some reasonable warm weather mid June. I'm trying not to look too hard at it, in case I scare it away.

I don't believe nothing they say any more.
Currently - We've had a smidge of sun this morning but the rain clouds are just starting to roll in.
We have weather warning alerts in place in South Tyneside until Friday too - It's June FFS!

Am camping in Bucks...

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/06/2015 13:19

I'm doing an outdoors martial arts display on Saturday so praying it'll stay dry for Northamptonshire.

MyVisionsComeFromSoup · 02/06/2015 17:59

we've had it miserable all day (that blowy drizzly rain that soaks you and makes an umbrella useless) and it's all cleared up into a sunny and 15 degrees quite nice evening (SE)

calzone · 02/06/2015 18:05

Ds1 and I have been discussing how to save the government money (as you do)

We are getting rid of ALL weather related weather reporting jobs.
When the news is read, the newsreader will say, 'This was the 10 o clock news.....and for the weather.....it is raining/dry/cold....' And he will look out of the window.....Grin

It will save millions of ££££££.

Flipping freezing here. Angry

GloriaSmud · 02/06/2015 18:24

Calzone ~ a weather rock might also aid your newsreader's forecasting abilities! (I didn't know that there was a Wikipedia entry for weather rocks!)

calzone · 02/06/2015 19:50

I could invest in a weather rock.....thanks for that idea. GrinGrin

Shock Calzone!

Am sorry badkitten but weather reporting is useless, usually wrong and Ds and I are saving money for the Government.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 02/06/2015 21:01

I would offer my services but, seeing as the thread title is no longer accurate..... Grin

Still blowing a gale in South wales.

Fingers are crossed for a warm (ish) dry weekend.

Thanks OYBBK

calzone · 02/06/2015 22:14

Weather looks horrendous here. ConfusedConfused
We had planned a bbq for Friday Shock

meglet · 03/06/2015 00:29

it's really dicking around now. One minute the forecast is cloudy, next it's changed to a shower, then it might be warm and sunny. I just want to know what day I need to do my legs for and whether to book a Friday gym class or spend all day at the allotment in sunshine. is that too much to ask.

Delatron · 03/06/2015 14:21

It doesn't help that every forecast is different for Friday. The BBC says 21 and showers (SE). My phone (yahoo.) says 26 degrees! Massive difference, surely there must be some consensus. The stupid DM (I know I shouldn't read) is still saying there will be a heatwave. Cross about the whole thing now.

GloriaSmud · 03/06/2015 14:26

I think it's going to be nice this weekend but not a heatwave now. Friday could be interesting if it gets really warm and thunder storms start springing up.

Baddz · 03/06/2015 14:34

It can just fuck off.
I don't care anymore.
I may just refuse to leave the house
:(

GloriaSmud · 03/06/2015 21:29

Aw Baddz Sad
Just been out in the garden and it feels like a proper summer's evening out there.

Baddz · 04/06/2015 08:56

It's sunny!!

Smile
gleegeek · 04/06/2015 10:42

Hi any ideas for this weekend around Surrey?Sussex? we're really hoping to camp, but it's now looking less hot and positively chilly at night (we are wimpy campers - don't like being cold!)
I keep looking at the forecasts and I'm confused!

digerd · 04/06/2015 20:02

SE.
Was warm, sunny and with a nice breeze today. It rose to 23degrees at 1pm but down to 21.3 by 5pm.

TV forecast is to rain in the night and be very humid early tomorrow morning , the humidity causing thunder storms later which hopefully will freshen the air.

The strong winds recently broke my rose arch again I noticed just today.
Sky is all blue atm and doesn't look like rain in the night.
We'll wait and see what tomorrow brings.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 04/06/2015 20:35

There could be some decent thunderstorms for some tonight into tomorrow, central southern england and eastern england most at risk.

rain warnings
