Definitely snowing here sparkling. Quite heavy and settling according to DH. I am snuggled in bed with the kitten washing me

3or 4 hrs worth of heavyish snow here in SE wales so far tonight.

Met office and BBC are saying snow will continue until tomorrow afternoon. Is this likely OYBBK?

Oh no dm, we don't want this at all. Sparkling Cat isn't happy and has just taken to sleeping 23 1/2 hours a day.

Mendips look amazing on bbc. I fear the reporter may be getting stuck.

Still going strong here in between the Blackdowns and Quantocks. We're going to have more than Friday soon but this time no one was prepared so the roads are a nightmare.

Boo, close to the borders yes, I think it's quite likely.

The mendips have some seriously heavy snow - hope they let that poor reporter attempt to go home now. He looked quite traumatised!!!

It sounds more like rain here in Berkshire although alot has settled.

oybbk will it keep snowing here or will it turn to rain? Every forecast I look at tells a different story, so I think I will just listen to you as yours have been right all along.

Kahlua, it's right on the edge, both temperature and dew points look to stay just on the right side of marginal. Looking at the radar, it does seem to be thinning out in your region so I'm not sure how much more you will get.

No more snow here in Surrey, in fact it has not snowed for the best part of the last two hours

Ds's secondary school has just posted to say school as per normal tomrrow.

It looked amazingly promising at around 7pm is, huge thick flakes, settling down nicely.

Oh well. It was fab to get excited about a possible snow day for all of 2 hours, now will get back the the thought of being up early to make packed lunches etc

Same as behind. Dh big flakes at 5:30 in my part of surrey. Dc got excited, I got excited and dog got excited.....she was going crazy in the back garden and jumping at snow flakes. Then it stopped

It is raining in North Devon. Are we never going to have snow?

Quick look out of window and it does not look worse than it was at 8pm last night, here in west Surrey. Up early though as driving may be fun!
