Snow Watch Part 3 - The weather continues!

Something's coming out of the sky in York but not sure what. Very wet snow if it is snow. I suspect rain...

Just been out to have a final measure. 20cm way more than I thought. That's including Fridays lot too, I measured right at the back of the garden where none had melted.

OYBK here are the latest tube statuses. Most of the delays are due to engineering works, not the weather. Hope your dh is not too delayed.

Thenightsky, I don't know that side very well. I'm in a village a few miles north of Market Rasen on top of a big hill we've had quite a bit overnight, will measure when I get up DH is attempting to get to work in Grimsby I'm a SAHM so don't have to venture out but got to entertain two toddlers with cabin fever...

We got about 1cm overnight, everything looks pretty!

Woken up this morning to lots here in North Yorkshire. DS1s school is closed and just waiting to hear about DS2s (which is in a little village up and down a huge hill).

Just measured, it is about 4 inches, it looks like more than that!

Just sent DS1 out to measure - we have had 4cm overnight. Most local school shut.

Snow day here, school closed due to icy conditions and more snow forecast! I wasn't aware we were due anymore snow today here (east sussex coast) but school seem to know different- DC not complaining though.

Morning all.

Snow this morning for northern England into southern Scotland. Seems pretty wide spread. Towards the end of the day it peters out somewhat though still staying snowy in the NE and southern Scotland. Some snow/sleet showers in the south.

Tomorrow still a bit of a plague of snow in the NE and sleet or snow moving into the Sw tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Wednesday, at the moment it just looks like a few snow showers about, but we will see...

I am rather jealous of the snow days! Dh left an hour ago and dd and I are business as usual. :(

I don't think it will last very long, as it's already melting on the roads (not a bad thing, as they're completely ungritted)

I blow an enormous raspberry in the direction of the Met Office, who did not predict it at all.

Mid surrey. Secondary school now shutting at 1pm. We seem to have heavy snow forecast for 3pm onwards according to met office.

Glossop really thick and been coming down since 6pm last night.

No work for me!! Local schools closed. dd says she's really disappointed, whilst stood at the back door in her snow suit with her sledge under her arm.

schilke where did you hear that? we are trying to decide whether grand parents should drive from Winchester to south of Guildford to mind ds.I don't want them getting stuck

Denialandpanic - we have a heavy snow blob on forecast for my area on met office at 3pm. Light snow at 12 and 6.

The main roads here are fine and most schools are open.

Still snowing here, sky looks full of it, so I suppose it just depends how long it decides to say this side of the Peninnes.

SIL & BIL will not be happy in Glossop - he is due to start a new job today.

But it's SNOWING in Manchester!
