OP posts:
MySweetPrince · 18/01/2013 13:28

Jazz and Toby - can you waft it towards the Ashford area please...Envy

TeWiSavesTheDay · 18/01/2013 13:29

I said 7cm earlier, but that was at the back, at the front it is 12! And still coming with the heavy stuff due later?!

Too deep to sledge and not great for snowman sadly.

mankyscotslass · 18/01/2013 13:30

Slight dusting is all we got. Sad

TobyLerone · 18/01/2013 13:31

Prince, you are very near me! Lame little sprinkling at the mo, but Kent Weather on FB assures me it's on its way.

Dotty342kids · 18/01/2013 13:32

Tonnes of the stuff here in Herefordshire. About 2-3 inches when we woke up, probably about 7 inches now. It's still snowing, very gently so think it'll stay roughly the same or increase slightly.
We moved car to a gritted road last night as we have to get out and go to Bham tomorrow so hopefully it'll be ok by then!

Megmog2005 · 18/01/2013 13:34

Snowing for real now........at long last

madasa · 18/01/2013 13:34

Is fine but persistent here....near Bearsted Kent

NorksAreMessy · 18/01/2013 13:36

waves to dotty, my neighbour. Although I am in Malvern-ish, our county is Heref.

snow very pretty and deep here. Terriers have various views about it. Yorkies are NOT impressed, and have spent the day donut-like on the sofa, Westie has to be bribed back in and then dunked in warm water, Shitsu tried to eat it

BionicEmu · 18/01/2013 13:39

Snowing steadily in NE Derbyshire now, finally. We're about 20-ish miles north of Derby & it appears to have taken more than 3 hours for the snow to reach us from Derby.

Have just waddled up to Co-op as we were out of bread, was a bit worried they might have sold out. They had lots of bread, but no cakes and minimal alcohol! Not sure what that says about the area where I live!

lubeybooby · 18/01/2013 13:40

got more at the front than the back here too. It's blowing in from the east and my back garden is really sheltered against it so is only getting the bits that drift down.

still not enough though, possibly just managing 3cms now at the back and maybe 4.5cm at the front.

Cats are not impressed even with this tiny bit

Sparklegeek · 18/01/2013 13:41

SE Essex , 1 tiny flake every 3 mins if you stare very VERY hard at the garden.

Come ON, when's our turn?????????

mankyscotslass · 18/01/2013 13:47

Angry Sad

Megmog2005 · 18/01/2013 13:49

OMG!!! Looks like crossing my fingers worked, it's MASSIVE

Actually I thought we had great big snowflakes earlier, but it turns out I have left my reading glasses on whilst looking at the window.

Hope everyone gets their snow.

tak1ngchances · 18/01/2013 13:53

Feckin ENORMOUS flakes in SW London, we have around 3 to 4 cm lying on pavements/roofs but roads are clear

Pan · 18/01/2013 13:54

I've given up manky. dd will have a Sad little face after school. She's a snow queen.

teddymummy · 18/01/2013 13:55

We are watching lots of snow fall here in south Oxfordshire. All schools closed by 11am and the road outside my house is almost at a standstill, it's an A road and usually busy. Apparently the hill just down the road is causing chaos with all the cars sliding down and crashing. Have just seen a very nice BMW go past on a pick up truck with its front all caved in.
We are all snuggly inside, and luckily the tesco man came yesterday!

ChippingInNeedsSleepAndCoffee · 18/01/2013 13:56

I'm in the SE - my 'event' (3 hrs away) was cancelled (yay). It started snowing here about 8.20 and hasn't stopped, fairly big flakes and fairly heavy Grin We've had a good few inches Wink

We should try not to fill the thread so that OYBBK can start the new one, then her posts show up at the OP - much more useful than one of ours showing up!! Grin

Willabywallaby · 18/01/2013 13:59

Raining in Dorset. At least boys got to play in the snow at school, the year groups took turns in throwing snowballs at the headteacher.

PoppyAmex · 18/01/2013 14:00

I'm dying with Envy

In Central Scotland and it's bloody SUNNY! It's never sunny here. Ever.

I want snow!

MySweetPrince · 18/01/2013 14:03

It's here!!! (Does little snow joy dance in middle of office),,,,,,,,,,Oh o.k it's very fine and swirly but might get heavier later ?

TheSkiingGardener · 18/01/2013 14:03

Heading for about 8-10cm here. The main lot fell this morning but it's still going steadily and building.

Went out in it 3 times with DS this morning, including taking him on his seldge to nursery after lunch. Hurrah

TeWiSavesTheDay · 18/01/2013 14:05

Grin Willaby

Slight issue that I dropped the peppa pig ruler in the snow somewhere.

My meteorological efforts are being hampered!
