sorry for my absence in the weather threads this week or so. A lot of real life going on. Dundee though had a whopper of a hail storm on Thursday.

Anyway, this weekend as no doubt you'll have seen gets really rather warm. Some parts will see 30C by Sunday/Monday. oof. Along with that hot weather there is a real risk of some good storms on Monday. When and where.....? No idea yet. A cold front moving south will herald more normal June temperatures and as that comes across the hot humid air, theres' potential for a good degree of instability. More details to come......

oooh halogen. Please measure the hail and then let me know. Don't get knocked out by it though - stay safe Grin

(to measure hail go for the largest bit and measure across the largest width. For once that counts!

we have bizarre black clouds and bright sunshine in glasgow.
quite end of days.

i just want to know if i'll be able to go camping this summer...

lubey if you look at the rainfall part of invent then the bright blobs will give you quite a good indication.

That sounds dramatic looking aitch!

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/06/2011 14:46

I think about a centimetre. At least. Not sure I got the largest bit and it was already a bit melty.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/06/2011 14:55

cool thanks for checking halogen :) , big enough to make a decent impression!

It was massive. The reason I didn't go for the largest bit was that I didn't want to get bashed by the stuff still falling!

nicolamumof3 · 28/06/2011 18:36

lol yes it was rather scary!! Lots of flooding, my ds2 soaked in school playground waiting for nanny! lots of lightening and thunder. Just very dark and damp now...and very cool blissful!
